The space is beautiful. The service is good, you may have to wait, because it stays busy and services seem to get doubled booked a lot. , but over all you will get a good service. Pros: beautiful space, good service Cons: sometimes you have to wait more

WHAT A DYNAMIC GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! I've been to many spas all around the country,as well as on cruise ships. The people who are employed at Key Lime are just wonderfull . I have done the Land Mark Forum and now , I had my Operah moment . "I GET IT ! " This is what being of service and on Purpose is all about. The spa and salon experience as well as the overall customer service are top notch . All I can say is Thank You All. Pros: Service & staff Cons: You may have to wait a bit for a service BUT it's more than worth the wait !!! more

This place really needs to work on it's customer service all around. Beautiful place but BAD service. I'm amazed it's gotten such great reviews. My wife and I were VERY disappointed. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the visit. more

This place is awful. Most of the employees are not licensed. The front desk staff must be on something. The owner makes you wait for at LEAST an hour for your appt because she never shows up on time. She's a little tiny troll that makes her employess lives miserable. The turn over rate is so high, she can't keep good staff. I wouldn't want an unlicensed Esthetician working on my face would you?? Avoid at all cost. Go next door to Van Michaels for a hair cut and down the street to Natural body for skin care and massages. The woman is nuts and the staff is dangerous if you ask me. After being on hold a long time with woman who didn't seem to know what she was doing(typical), made rsv to surprise wife w/ 4hr spa package. Lady even told me from about 2:30 to 7:00 for all services. Wife got there and they only had her down for a 30 minute massage! How does that happen? Will never go there again. If you are dumb enough to book there, be prepared for disappointment. Pros: When you are disappointed and leave, at least you can walk around Highlands... Cons: Everything, management is terrible. I used to go to Key Lime Pie and left because I was sick of the horrendous customer service. I went to Fresche, which received excellent reviews in CitySearch. Although their customer service is much better, my hair color was disappointing to say the least. Not to mention, it was almost twice as much as other salons I've gone too. I went back to Key Lime and found Suzanne who now does my color. She is wonderful! I have received so many compliments on my hair color now that I go to her. Plus, she does such a great job that I don't have to go to the salon as often for touch-ups. The customer service hasn't improved that much, but I'll put up with it to get great hair color. I am new to salons and did not go to Key Lime with a totally clear idea of what I wanted, but I had the jist- a natural pretty hair cut and color to look elegant for my wedding. While I was very pleased with the layout, style and extras of Key Lime (tea, coffee, water, changing rooms to keep day clothes clean if you are getting color, and many spa extras), I was less than pleased with my cut. Much shorter than I asked for, brightly colored hair that required another also failed fit and an exceptionally long wait for both of those to be completed. If my request for assistance and expert advise was ill timed- I wish they would have said so and not allowed me to make an appointment. I am currently completely spa-shy and hesitant to try another venue at all. Truly disappointed. Pros: The spa and salon themselves give an instant relaxed feel. Cons: Cost, value, parking (pay to street park- but be aware you might need to return to your car with a towel around your head to pay more tolls), hair color and stylists not listening more

Ladies ! Please don't try it - I was left with ammonia based highlight foils ON MY HEAD as my stylist left town for the WEEKEND on a Friday afternoon. They had to pull someone off of another haircut to rinse me, but it was too late. Truly, it was the most traumatic hair experience I've ever had. Well over two years later and still growing out what didn't break off. Hot roots, broken hair, and worst part about it - they ignored my request for my money back! I'd been a loyal KLP customer since 1997 and during that time I'd had two stylists (Brandi and Louie)- that is until the past 1.5 years. Since then I've had 4 and not very good experiences with any. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I came in and had the owner DJ butcher my hair. I was 7 months pregnant and told her I just wanted it thinned out. 3.5 hours later after she flitted from customer to customer and had trainee after trainee come look at how "awful" my hair was due to too much product I walked out of there with the shortest most ill fitting hair cut of my life (this would include my childhood visits to a budget training salon). I had people literally ask me "what happened to your hair". I will never walk into the place again. Wouldn't the owner of a salon know not to drastically cut a pregnant woman's long hair? I recently purchased Key Lime's massage/manicure/pedicure 3-hour spa package as a gift for my husband. As he was scheduling his appointment we had some confusion about the time-frame of the package. They wanted to schedule his manicure/pedicure 1 hour after his massage had ended - when he asked why, he was told that the extra time was to make sure he got to each of his appointments... Upset, I spoke with the staff later and was assured that his package would include an hour-massage, a 1.5 hour manicure and pedicure, and a half-hour "sensory journey". Unfortunately, this did not turn out to be true - his appointment started at 5pm and promptly ended at 7pm. It seems that there were only 2 hours of services and one hour of potential waiting time. I purchased the 3-hour package because I thought he would get three hours worth of spa services! I have enjoyed the waxing and salon aspects of Key Lime in the past, but I have to say that I am very dissatisfied with the misleading advertising strategies. I wrote to the management and have yet to hear back. I am glad that I didn't to give more packages as gifts - I would have been quite embarrassed. For my first appointment I had to wait almost 2 hours. They did feed me tea and muffins, and the stylist, Julian, seemed apologetic. He gave me a great creative haircut, so I was willing to go back. I saw him once more before trying to make an appointment and being told that neither he nor the colorist I used were still at the salon. Fine, I said, make me an appointment with someone else. They hooked me up with Sidney, and again I was happy enough with the cuts to go back even though wait times ranged from fifteen minutes to almost an hour. Today I found out that Sidney is gone too, which according to these reviews is par for the course. I've never seen a salon with this kind of staff turnover. I'll try some of the salons that are being mentioned here, like Fresche and Midtown Hair, and avoid KLP from now on. Pros: You can get a cool haircut. Cons: You'll never see your stylist again. more

The reviews are right - the owner DJ is NUTS!!! She can't keep her staff - she drove one assistant to tears screaming at her in front of everyone and that makes you so uncomfortable when you are trying to get a "haircut" - if you can call it that - I was very unhappy - the stylists are always changing and I was speaking to mine only to realize that she (as well as a large majority of the staff) are unlicenced and inexperienced - (I guess that explains the lousy cut) and I had to wait for an hour and a half! Also, the place looks pretty but - the palmettos crawling around ... uuuuuugh! STAY AWAY - DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!!! HEED THE WARNINGS (unless you love being treated poorly and recieving the worst cut EVER!) i sincerely wish i would have read the reviews and i would have STAYED FAR AWAY!!. it was the worst experience i've had. i had a partial highlight and haircut and was there for FOUR, yes, FOUR hours. she went from my hair to others and left my highlights on for 1hr (vs. 30min norm). the highlights were awful.. she cut layers so the top was blond and the underneath was brown. i looked two-tone. moreover, when i called back to nicely say that i needed to get it fixed, they made no apologies and couldnt get me in in the next two days. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I sincerely question the "best of's..." litigimacy. i've never seen one that makes it w/ this bad of reviews. more

I have been to Key Lime Pie several times in the past year, and was never thirlled with my service there, but the location was good and the price was o.k. and my experiences with my color services were always fine. I just wasn't happy with the vibe in there, the owner seemed like a loon and you could feel the change in the air when she entered the room. The last two times I was there I had Marianne do my color and Cody do my haircut and I loved it! They were both very professional and did beautiful jobs.I recently called to book my next appointment with them and was told that both Marianne and Cody were gone. I don't know where Cody went,if anybody knows please post, but a friend of mine told me that Marianne was working in Buckhead at Robin Stiles Salon. Its a little pricier there, but totally worth the trip, plus its got a great vibe. Its small, but everyone is very sweet and accomidating. Tried this salon (Key Lime) since it is a good location and looks professional. but, I warn you to take heed to the many poor reviews that keep appearing about this salon. the employees stand around staring and talking about the customers (I know, I heard them). And, if you must go here, avoid having Sidney do your hair. He cut my hair far shorter than I had asked, but, then, he didn't seem to really care about listening to what I wanted evidenced by a blank stare, a frown as if miffed, and with no comment at all while I tried to tell him how I like my hair cut and styled. I wish I had not gone to him as my hair now looks like it was cut by an untrained person. I didn't say anything because I was so upset; I had to run out and try to fix it myself with a pair of sewing scissors. Pros: Full creativity with your hair even if you don't want it. I feel so bad for the clients that have to even write the mass of negative reviews. This is not to con or pro KLP having never gotten my hair done there. I did however apply for a job there about a year ago and thank goodness I did not get a call back just from what I've read. ::PHEW:: Billy and Mimi are both working at fresche the salon in Grant Park.
