On a recent trip to NYC from New Zealand , My 2 nephew's and my cousin ( who is a NYC Local) came to your establishment , And as a person who has worked in some top Italian Restaurants/Pizzeria's in New Zealand I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the Pizza which had a terribly soggy base , lacked flavour , When I asked the waiter to take the pizza away to be cooked more he looked at me like "" Oh what would you know about Pizza"" It wasn't until my Cousin dropped in and said "" Would you send out a pizza like that in YOUR RESTAURANT"" that the waiter changed his tone. Extremely disappointed with the food and service more

It is really a great pizza, no doubt about it. However, it is tough to get a table, even for two. Needs more seating room, the second time we went there, my husband and I agreed to wait 45 minutes, then when the time was up, we were asked to wait another 25 minutes, so we left. more

The place looks so beautiful from inside and the food smells great and fresh. We are planning to go back here this weekend and I bet eating here will be a regular thing from now on. more

The tip I would like to give Lombardi's is: Take a road trip to New Haven Connecticut to taste what pizza is all about. Both Pepi's and Sally's are hands down far superior. They use quality products. We purchased a clam pizza and a margherita pizza spent over $100. It was the most dissapointed meal we had during our long weekend. Too bad we were very excited to visit. We will not return. The pizza had no flavor, thankfully there was salt, red crushed pepper and grated cheese on the table. The pizza came out very quickly. Almost think the dough is pre-cooked. Shame on you! You are definately not the best....... more

We got there at 10:25pm and were told that the rest of the night was ""take out only"". They advertise to be open until 11pm. Not so bad, unless you are from out of town and planned your night down to the minute. sorry but I did not travel to NY to eat pizza on the curb, went somewhere else and the pizza was great. Won't try this place again. more

This place lived up to its name for sure. We go to NYC once a year and always try to find the hidden spots. This place is packed and now I know why. There are no frills but the pizza is amazing! Just go with their famous margarita pizza. My boyfriend added sausage and loved it. I rave about it all the time. We will be back in October and we will definitely go back to Lombardi's. more

Lombardi's sucks 1/16/2012

Sooooo bad, WORST PIZZA PLACE EVER. Granted their pizza might be famous, however the hostess was so rude, we didn't even go in. I hope her boss sees this and she gets fired. Do NOT go there, instead hop on the subway and go to any other pizza place in NY. Jonh's pizzeria is my recommendation. its much more authentic and there's not a total bitch working there. Lombardi's Pizza was horrible - do not waste your time. Spread the news, this place sucks. more
