I would highly recommend Hawthorne Plumbing and cooling. Thomas was very knowledgeable and efficient. I received estimates from two other companies and Hawthorne was the best priced and most trusting, and solved our problem in a short time. more

Absolutely the worst experience in professional heating and plumbing in Las Vegas you could imagine. STAY AWAY from this company at all costs. They are bait and switch artists and will try to force you into a situation where they can get paid (more) for a new unit rather than handling the service call they were requested for. Long story short... 1. Water heater leaking in garage so Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling called out by our home warranty service for emergency Sunday service call. 2. Representative from Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, Mr. Beau Adams, arrives at the home. He looks at the water heat for 30 seconds, confirms it is leaking and says, ""I need to check the warranty on this unit"". 3. After 30+ minutes sitting in his truck, Beau Adams from Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling returns to inform me that a) although the unit itself is under warranty, b) although he has been called to the home under a home warranty, he CANNOT fix the unit until the next business day, Monday ""because we have a warranty"". He claims to have no access the warehouse on the weekends where these units are stored (are you too wondering why a weekend technician would NOT have access to the proper equipment on a weekends?). I could have probably lived with this until... 4. Mr. Beau Adams of Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling says to me, ""if you didn't have a warranty I could have this fixed for you today"". Stunned, I repeat back to him to make 100% sure I understand correctly... he CANNOT fix our water heater BECAUSE it's under warranty yet at the same time he can fix it today if I DIDN'T have warranty? With a straight face he confirms yes this is the correct. In short he wanted to sell me a unit from them rather than handle the service request he was called out for. It is this type of ridiculous logic that deserves a boycott from any consumer (individual or otherwise). PS - adding insult to injury, Mr. Beau Adams who specifically promised to shop-vac the water out of the leaking basin ends of not doing at all and left saying he would be back tomorrow to fix the under warranty heater under the home warranty. I walked back in the house stunned and angry that there are companies that actually do business like this. In short, if you are looking for quality plumbing, heating and cooling with professional common sense service DO NOT use this company. more

I placed a call with my warranty company & before I hung up the phone with them Hawthrone was calling to schedule my appointment. I was so impressed that I got same day service & everyone was pleasant to work with. Hawhtorne met all my needs & I would use them again & recommend them to anyone. The technician was freindly, knowledgeable & explained evertything in detail. I appreciate that I didnt have to wait for service as I have in the past with other companies. They were in & out & gave me a fair price. Pros: Fair Prices & You dont wait along time for service more

had a what they call a slab leak under my home. Hawthorne Plumbing came out in a timely manner and diagnoised the problem. Technician gave suggestions on how the leak could be repaired. They came out the next day and ran a new water line. The technician was very good and did the work professionally. I will use Hawthorne Plumbing in the future for all my repairs. Pros: timely service, competative prices more

After being contacted through my home warranty company for a hot water heater that went out, their tech shows up and states that there will be $600+ in uncovered charges to bring my house up to code, a permit, and disposal of the old hot water heater. The tech said it would have to wait until the next day to verify authorization. The home warranty company said they normally pay $450 for hot water heater replacement. They gave me an option to receive a check for $340 as they deducted the plumbers fee for coming and giving the estimate. I was able to contract another, more reputable plumber, and have a new hot water heater installed the same day. End the end I saved myself over $100. Basically, they were charging the difference in what they would normally charge and what the home warranty company was willing to pay. However, they tried to convince us of code violations to pressure us into paying. The house is only 8 years old. Cons: lies to customers more
