Review content:
After being contacted through my home warranty company for a hot water heater that went out, their tech shows up and states that there will be $600+ in uncovered charges to bring my house up to code, a permit, and disposal of the old hot water heater. The tech said it would have to wait until the next day to verify authorization. The home warranty company said they normally pay $450 for hot water heater replacement. They gave me an option to receive a check for $340 as they deducted the plumbers fee for coming and giving the estimate. I was able to contract another, more reputable plumber, and have a new hot water heater installed the same day. End the end I saved myself over $100. Basically, they were charging the difference in what they would normally charge and what the home warranty company was willing to pay. However, they tried to convince us of code violations to pressure us into paying. The house is only 8 years old. Cons: lies to customers
