Great end product 10/29/2013

The door we received was less expensive and better quality than competing doors at Lowes or Home Depot. Customer service was very good when I initiated the call. My only criticism is that I had to be the one to check on my order. I would have liked more proactive instead of reactive service. All in all, I would recommend this option. I installed the door myself with a neighbor without ever having done one, and it was simple to do. It is absolutely a 2 person job, as winding and unwinding the spring is very dangerous. I went to Home Depot and bought a 1/2 steel bar to do this. Never use a screwdriver. more

Great Experience 10/29/2013

Strong Service and assistance in ordering door. Local reps on garage doors in Houston Texas were all over the place in pricing and could not be bothered to listen to my specific application for a backyard shed. Doors Direct treated me like I was ordering 50 doors. Since the factory is in Houston I had little wait time unlike what the local reps were selling. Saved 100s of dollars. Highly recommend. more

good door, poor delivery 10/29/2013

Since my presence was required to drop the door off, they should have contacted me to make an appointment. Instead, the driver called me when he reached a point 10 miles away from home when I couldn't leave work. RESPONSE FROM DOORS DIRECT: Our shippers are instructed to call and make an appointment for delivery. Calling ahead is the norm; however giving a 10 minute lead time is unacceptable and not normal. We will send your comment to the delivery agent for further details. You would be quite within your rights to explain that they need to deliver with more advanced notice. more

Great experience ordering form Doors Direct 10/29/2013

I was very skeptical ordering a garage door online not really sure of the quality or service I would receive, the door and the low profile tracks were received without any damages, I had them professionally installed without any issues such as missing parts or not fitting, and the quality of the doors were great. I was told by 2 other garage door suppliers that it was impossible to install a garage door with such a low clearance, after talking to Doors Direct customer service about the low clearance issue they recommended a low profile track, it worked as promised, I would definitely order again from Doors Direct. more

poor experience 10/29/2013

The door itself was fine after we figured out to install. The installation manual was awful. It would be ok for someone that has installed them before. My brother and I are construction minded and figure out almost anything but this door install had us. We emailed and talked to someone. After several calls we finally found out what was wrong but the installation manual needs a lot of help. RESPONSE FROM DOORS DIRECT: We offer a detailed installation guide, a stage by stage video guide on our web site and telephone and email support. I am sorry that none of these were of help to you. We can also give you details of professional door installers in your area that could help in the future. more

Great door and great value however not all the parts came I had ordered 3 doors and each box was missing something the job locations were over an hour from my house so going back to install missing parts equals losing money RESPONSE FROM DOORS DIRECT: We try to offer the best product at the best price with the best service. We are sorry that you had this experience with so many parts missing. This is not the norm. I hope that we sent out the correct parts in a timely manner. I understand how frustration missing parts can be and it can have an impact on your time. We try to make sure that all orders are complete however mistakes are sometimes made. The best we can do is send replacement parts a.s.a.p. and apologize for any inconvenience. more

very helpful staff and quick delivery 10/28/2013

I placed an order for a 12x12 door from the website and someone called back the following day to verify the order. She also talked to me about the application and recommended a slightly different door for about the same price. The door arrived in about a week and was well packaged in a large wooden crate. The installation instructions were helpful and it went up without much trouble. It is a 2-person job and you will need a forklift to install the door. more

Outstanding product at a great price. 10/28/2013

Very pleased with my 7 foot by 7 foot Roll Up Door. 100% as advertised, easy pick up in Orlando, very high quality product. and very east to install. Could not find help so I installed it by my self even though the instruction advised against doing so. Almost effortless and went into place perfectly. I have seldom been able to get such value and quality for such a low price. more
