25 year old Furnace removal and replacement 1/25/2021

I had 4 companies quote my furnace replacement through Angies list. Cody from Crain was at our home the morning we called and Crain was selected after comparing the other 3 quotes that afternoon. Brandon and Matt showed up on time the next morning and laid out drop cloths. They removed my 25 year old furnace and took it away in their truck. They installed my new Lennox furnace with Humidifier and pump with all connections for Gas, water and electricity. They replaced all the main ductwork manifolds and exhaust tubing, complete with mortar at the outside brick wall. After installation was complete they tried everything out and cleaned up wherever they worked. The entire process took around 8 hours and they were out of the house by dinner time. We couldn't be happier with our new heating system. I highly recommend Crain Heating and Cooling. They did an excellant job. 5 stars. more

Professional Service 10/2/2020

If the STAR rating is not 5 then its supposed to be(highest) Firefox is giving me issues when clicking stars. Robert Tuned Up my furnace for this coming winter. I was amazed at everything he checked and the instruments he used to do some testing. He was very complete. Its obvious he is a very knowledgeable technician. I had a feeling that he treated my furnace as if it was his own. I will certainly hire Crain for future services that I should require. Thanks Robert and Crain! more

HVAC Installation at Country Place 5/20/2020

3 person team installed HVAC (furnace and A.C) at my home. The two furnce installers were very good, conscientious, and went the extra mile. The A/C installer however is another story....installed a new A/C pad and placed the new A/C unit on the pad and that was it. Never hooked up the A/C. The company sent another technician out to inspect the unit and he completed the job the initial installer should have done. Overall, I would give the whole experience a 4 out of 5. I would have rated this company a 5 had it not been for the unfortunate experience with the A/C installation and the lack of professionalism on the part of the installer. The company is very good regarding customer satisfaction and all my dealings with them have been very satisfactory. Any problems, they are quick to follow up and get resolved. I would recommend this company with the exception of the person that installed my A/C unit. more

Real Helpful 2/12/2020

My furnace broke down this cold evening. Called Crain H&C after hours and installer Will G. was here in 30 minutes. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem in no time. Unfortunately, the system needed a new blower motor which will be installed tomorrow morning. Thanks to Will's boss who offered to replace the blower wheel at no charge. Thank you, guys. Stay away from this company 2/11/2020

Not happy. Originally had them come out to replace a bad ignitor. Was still having problems with the furnace shutting on and off. They came back out and said they didn't see any problems other than the sensors needing to be cleaned. The furnace started working. Was told they needed to charge me for cleaning the sensors. You're charging me 160 dollars for the five minutes of labor you performed wiping down the sensor? Was told this was considered an emergency call. I never said anything about an emergency call. People don't mind paying for services. but no one wants to feel ripped off. more

Crain Heating and Cooling did a wonderful job installing my new HVAC system. Justin M was the lead installer who was very professional and friendly. Justin made it his mission to make sure everything was done correctly by his team. Overall, very satisfied with Crain Heating and Cooling ! I would give this company 5 stars... Unable to see the grading criteria in "judy's book" so am guessing one to the far right is a "5", if not please let me know. more

Had a good Experience with Crain Heating & Cooling. Brent, who was the Technician, called me first thing in the morning on the Appointment Day. Gave me an ETA & arrived right on time. Listened to my requests & concerns for the Call. Brent R. was courteous, friendly, & professional. I was especially happy that he came out to fix things, first thing in the morning. I liked that I didn't have to wait around all day. He did the repairs quickly & in a professional manner. I am most happy about this Service Call. Melissa G. from the office, called & left me precise messages pertaining to my Appointment. She was courteous, friendly, & professional. Thank You Crain Heating & Cooling more

Humidifier Install 10/23/2019

From price quote to setting the appointment to install, this company is top notch. Other than trying to find a day that would work for both of us, (not their fault), everything went great. They even let me know when they were coming. The installers were professional and even showed me how to operate and maintain the unit. Will be using them again for future work. more
