Best

The stuffed lobster was just amazing and the delicious oysters, all I can say is wow overall this restaurant is a 5 Star including management and staff.

Worst

First, the restaurant is in a rather bad part of town on the river and I would not recommend going there at night. We went during the day and it was ok. Second, my family is lat...

If you are eager to try seafood and don't know where to go, you must give this place a shot , at first we were not really impresed with the looks of the restaurant from the outside, but as we came inside we were very pleased to see the nice display of seafood they had as well as the open hearth kitchen where you can see your meal being prepared "a la minute". We saw a huge Hog Snapper as they call it here that weighted about 9 lbs. and 4 lbs. Florida Lobsters they had on ice. and that is exactly what we had for dinner. not that size though. \r \r It took a little while to get our food but the waiter explained to us that these specially items had to be properly cleaned next door at the fish market and it was going to take a few more minutes. \r \r We tried their homemade desserts the flan was good but nothing to write home about it, What was really good the Tiramesu I wasn't expecting it to be that good we were told that it was the special dessert of the week \r \r I think it should be a keeper.... service was good and they were very attentive; I got to practice my spanish. \r \r We came from Rhode Island and I think the next time we stop in Miami we are coming back to Casablanca more

I was told about this place on the Miami river near Downtown and I wasn't sure to go that far\r coming from Pembroke Pines, but the trip was worth it\r we were greeted by nice people at the door, and tried their Mojitos, they were very refreshing.\r The waitress suggested the Chef's special which we didn't hesitate to order. It was a generous piece of Grouper encrusted with a crab herb mixture, out of this world, it was served with some delicate stuffed raviolis with a creamy Lobster sauce that complemented the fish very well. Their wine selection definitely pairs the food they serve. I really enjoyed the meal, a little bit pricy but worth it. \r I totally recomend this place. We even had our fish taken care of next door at the fishmarket while we were having dinner. more

They said 10-15 minuet wait. I thought no way with this many people in line but they were right. Lobster was great but order 2 if you are hunger.Price is very reasonable. Sides and soups are good . House salad excellent. Avoid steamed veggies (cold no seasoning). Waite staff friendly and professional. Ask for Victor. Ask for table outside. Great view of river and worth the wait if any. They do try to serve you bottled water that is sitting on table for a price. They assume that you want it and do not advise you of the price. Tell them no to the bottled water as the free water is just fine. Hard to find but worth the trouble. more

We ended up hear when heading for Joe's which was now renamed and under new ownership. The place was not well reviewed and we went next door to Garcia's to see if our Frommers review was accurate in stating this was a great and inexpensive place that was very worth visiting.\r \r The small place upstairs from the fish market they also own was comfortable and the staff friendly and very efficient. They give you a small cup of fish spread and crackers to eat it with when you are seated. This was very tasty and a great start to dinner.\r \r We ordered the grilled shrimp and flounder fillet. The shrimp was with parsley potatoes and coleslaw as sides, both of these were very tasty. The shrimp were large and grilled perfectly, they tasted great and I wished we'd had more. The flounder was very tasty and the sauce was really good, we had Cuban yellow rice and caesar salad with it. The rice was great but the salad was not as good as the rest of the food.\r \r The staff kept our water and soda glasses full and were very attentive and friendly telling us the story of the restaurant and about the menu items and fish offered.\r \r This is a must visit place when in Miami and I will eturn again every chance I get. more

Be careful when dining at Casablanca, overpriced all around!!!! fresh fish? dont think so!!!!... and $4.95 charged for the "beautiful blue water bottle on each table"....they do not disclose the price, once you are seated the waiter/tress will open the bottle and serve the water....$4.95 for a bottle of water you did not request?...and when asked if they serve American Coffee, they answered "yes"...No, No...we were served a "light expresso with a lot of foam".....Last Friday was my last time at Casablanca..Overpriced for the quality!!!! more
