Look, I am a foodie, I was raised on gourmet food and know what is good and what is not. My father was also a fisherman most of my life so I grew up on the freshest of the fresh. Swordfish and tuna was never short in our household\r

THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST MEALS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Mcdonalds is better...If I could leave zero stars I would. If you want to know what REAL seafood is then check my review with photos of Seafood Atlantic in the Cape.\r

Anyway, I saw this market on chef vs. city and thought while home visiting I would take my mom since you just can't find good seafood in South Florida much anymore it is just overpriced junk. Well this was no different. The only thing close to good was the seafood dip. Then came conch fritters, they were so small and fried to a crisp the only thing that was good on that plate was the cocktail sauce and grape tomatoes. \r

My mom ordered GRILLED snapper with a side salad. The salad was the only thing good about that meal and anyone can toss baby greens and blue cheese together. Her fish as not grilled, it was breaded and pan friend. It was so thin I barely saw it on the plate. It was not fresh and was extremely dry, oh and COLD. Now on to the 'warm' seafood salad that was luke-warm that I had. It was drenched in awful sauce that I still can't get the taste out of my mouth. Smothered in what seemed to be canned crab meat and the greens it was on were in a soup of the sauce it was far from a salad, it was soup. The clams in it were so fishy I spit them out and the hearts of palm were from a can or bottle. Their bread, that they claim is famous and "cuban" tasted like stale garlic bread you get out of the freezer section at Publix. We left the food and ate maybe 4 fork fulls only because we were starved. I looked around and was completely stunned people are paying up to 40 dollars a dish for this garbage that a 3 year old can make better. Maybe their fish market is good but to sit down and eat you better cook it at home.\r

Now on to the service. I noticed since we didn't use any Spanish at the table we got crappier service. We sat for 15 minutes before getting asked if we wanted drinks and when we were asked the guy was so arrogant and acted like we were bothering him. 15 minutes after we got the apps we asked where the food was and they gave some bs they were waiting for us to finish these crappy conch fritters. 5 minutes later the meals came out. Nobody came back to ask if we wanted anything or how it was. Our waiter was far more attentive to someone behind us that came on a boat. Very very rude. I should not have left a tip. The bill was an outstanding 60.00 for 2 people ! I left 6 dollars but he deserved 2 pennies. Perhaps Miami doesn't know good food. Sad, I invite anyone to come to Cape Canaveral to experience real seafood.
