They were able to get me in for my first OB appointment within 3 days of my husband and I finding out we were pregnant. The staff always made not just me, but also my husband feel welcome, comfortable and informed. The few times I had to call the on-call person, my call was returned within minutes by Dr. McNeil himself. I ended up having a planned c-section by Dr. Reyes, I felt much better than expected following surgery and recovered in no time. I have Bayview to thank for the health of my daughter and myself. This office was recommended to me and I will continue to recommend it to anyone looking for a great OB/GYN office. Pros: everything Cons: haven't found any more

I was a patient of Dr. McNeill's prior to Bayview being created. He was with an older practice at the time and anxious to break out on his own. What a great idea! He saw me through 2 miscarriages and a full term pregnancy. His entire staff was amazing. I never once was treated poorly or rudely. They always act as if you are the only patient on the list. I got appointments at times that were convenient for me. I was seen when it was needed and never put off. When my son was born in 2001, they were there attending to my every need. He was born healthy and they are responsible for that miracle. I have recommended them to everyone I know. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the area and wish I could find a practice that was 1/2 as good as this one. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm to any woman needing an ob/gyn. The only thing missing is the amazing Dr. Mastry. He is now in Australia as I remember but the remaining physicians filled hisshoes! Count your blessings this practice is available! Pros: everything! My husband and I moved to Florida right when I found out I was pregnant with our first child. We didn't know anyone and chose Bayview Ob/Gyn because they carred our insurance. Nevertheless, we could not have asked for a better experience. The entire staff was friendly and made everything so easy. They were always there to answer whatever question I had and graciously let my husband and family be involved in everything. The day my son was born, they took a sincere interest in both of our well being. Dr. McNeill made frequent rounds to check on me, and called very often.When my family from out of town arrived he was courteous and answered all questions and concerns politely and affectionately. They took my ideal birth plan and turned it into a reality. They made having our baby a joyous and relaxing experience. I never once worried about not being taken care of. I definately recommend them to everyone I know. more

I have only had one GYN so I can't compare to others except from what I've heard from family and friends. My experiences with this office leaves me with great appreciation for their genuine concern and care. When I became an OB patient, I had confidence that I was in great hands. They took the time to answer my questions (no matter how silly) and explain where I was at each visit. When it came time to deliver my little one, I was even more thankful for the doctors and nurse midwives of Bayview OBGYN. We didn't have any problems and we all went home healthy and happy (despite the lack of sleep!) The follow-up visits were the same - taking the time to address any needs with compassion and sincerity. I'm not ready to go through this again any time soon, but when I do I know that I will be in the best care possible! Thank you Bayview OBGYN! Pros: Professional but down to earth care more

After having the same ob/gyn for 13 years, I was saddened to have to move out of state and leave my trusted relationship with my doctor. Three states, three practices and three disappointments later, I came upon Bayview Ob/Gyn from a referral. I could not have been any happier! I started with the practice when I was 34 weeks pregnant and was able to meet with both doctors and both midwives. All four of them were equally pleasant, caring, and compassionate. They each listened and addressed my concerns and were fantastic all around! I never had a problem scheduling appointments and I always got my reminder calls! The office was immaculate and clean (my three year old commented on that as well), and even the receptionist was fantastic! She gave my 'energetic' three year old a fun calendar to entertain her during my appointment!! I was always greeted with a smile, which sadly isn't a common thing any more these days. Darlean delivered my daughter and she was the most kind and caring individual. Plus, she had a great sense of humor which made the labor and delivery more 'pleasant'. \r \r I just cannot say enough about Bayview! I will have to change insurance providers soon and my biggest criteria is that I'll be able to stay with Bayview. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful practice. The staff and Bayview took great care of us during my pregnancy. From the initial, emotional ultrasounds to each and every visit with the four different providers, each experience left us feeling comfortable and confident about my pregnancy. The front desk is courteous and friendly, the nurses are compassionate, and every provider is caring and informative. \r \r Dr. Reyes delivered my son via C-section in October. He helped me to make an informed decision about my surgery with his candor and patience, and my family is truly grateful that we had him on our team. The staff, nurses, and doctors were so nice. I am so glad that I chose Bayview to help me through my pregnancy. They always answered my questions and settled my worries. The only thing I would say i wished that they would have done would to have been more proactive about giving me information about birthing classes, info on pregnancy issues and general questions, info on helpful resources that you could use while pregnant, etc. It was my first pregnancy and I was always the one having to ask them a million questions. They never really gave me a heads up about anything unless I asked them. But they were really nice and informative when I did ask them questions. Just be prepared with a list of questions or concerns ready for your appointments, cause they dont really tell you much if you dont ask! :) Also they say they are doula friendly, but I dont know if all of the doctors or nurses are. So if you want a doula and you want to make a birth plan, make sure to tell them and let them know youre serious about it, cause they just kind of blew us off about the doula and birth plan when we got to the hospital. But they are wonderful caregivers, compassionate, kind, and they always get you in and out on time! So I definitely recommend them! more

I would recommend BayView to any woman...period. The staff is friendly, the environment is pleasant and they have a system that works well to get you in and out without a problem. \r I have always had the male ob/gyn experience. I MUST say, it is SO refreshing to work with Lucy and Darlean. They are knowledgeable and easy to relate to...in a way that only a woman can be. \r I love Dr. Reyes! I was referred to this office by a friend and I must say that I am so happy that I was!! This was my first pregnancy and because of the staff, they made it a truly memorable experience. I think all the doctors and staff are wonderful! I have seen all the doctors and midwives and was treated great by everyone. Dr Thomas Mcneill delivered my son in October and was great. \r I actually switched from an office that was not treating thier patients like people but more like a number. I went through some tough times in my first pregnancy so I was very scared about being pregnant again, but they made me feel cared for and safe, and everything turned out wonderful! more

Bayview Ob/Gyn is by far the most professional, friendly, and compassionate women's healthcare I have ever been to. Both doctors and the nurse midwives are wonderful and provide quality care. Dr. Carlos Reyes delivered my son by c-section back in September and I was so impressed by his precise work with the incision he made. Not only was he so knowledgeable, he was so caring and provided great comfort during a nerve-wrecking time. I am also very impressed with both nurse midwives, Lucy and Darlene. They both have over twenty years of experience in their fields and provided great medical care to me during my visits. The office staff is incredible too. They are extremely friendly and always make sure you are taken care of for each appointment. I highly recommend Bayview OB/GYN!!! We wanted to share our experience and our faith in Bayview OBGYN and Dr. Thomas McNeill and his staff. Thirteen years ago, Dr McNeill delivered our oldest daughter without any complications and was a great experience then. Two years ago we decided to try for another blessing, and unfortunately during those 2 years we struggled with Fibroid Tumors in which caused two miscarriages. Having the stress and surgeries during those times we were sure we could not have a child, boy oh boy were we wrong.After meeting with Dr. McNeill he advised us that, yes, we are able to have a baby but explained there may be risks involved. We trust every word spoken by Dr. McNeill any was an easy decision to try 1 last time.Dr. McNeill explained to us the difficulties that may be ahead and he handled the whole pregnancy very professional and with extreme passion and care.Well, a year later we now have a beautiful little girl Aubrey Grace who went full term and is now 4 weeks old today. I just had my first baby and I am over 40. They made me feel comfortable with all my decisions. Great staff that goes out of their way. I have been a patient of Dr. McNeill's since October 2000, and subsequently of Bayview's since its inception. I have 3 wonderfully healthy boys ages 7yrs, 4 yrs and 2 mos. I have multiple health issues which the practice, in partnership with my other healthcare professionals, managed effortlessly throughout my pregnancies. My mother (an ob/gyn midwife) was present at the high risk birth of my 1st child which was attended by Dr. McNeill, and was so impressed with the level of care which I received she said that she hoped I would continue care with Bayview as my family grew. Lucy delivered my next two children and with each event our respect and love for the practice increased. They have been amazing partners in my obstetric and gynecological care. No question is too silly. No concern too minor. No complaint too frivolous. I have been so impressed that over the years I have referred several expecting friends to them, especially ones that are considered AMA (Advanced Maternal Age). I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a respected practice. Pros: Balanced staff of 2 physicians, 2 mid-wives and a physicians assistant. I have been with Dr. McNeill's practice for over 12 years and would not be more pleased. I have seen this practice grow and have had the pleasure of meeting all the doctors and practitioners during my last 2 pregnancies. No matter what the stupid questions or ideas I had, they all made me feel comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this practice. I just went through my first pregnancy, and they went above and beyond in providing me with excellent care and reassurance throughout my pregnancy, in delivery, and postpartum. Darlean Weingarten, ARNP, CNM, delivered my child and took excellent care of us both. She even got my husband involved in catching the baby! All of the doctors, nurses, and staff at Bayview OBGYN are exceptional, and I would recommend them to any expecting mother. more

I would highly recommend bayview obgyn for both pre and post pregnancy care. Dr. McNeil took really good care of me--I felt safe and reassured that he was looking out for both my baby's health and my own. During labor, Dr. McNeil is encouraging, concerned, and attentive.
