I switched to this practice after a really bad experience with my first birth. They have delivered my last two babies and are wonderful! there were some complications with getting pregnant with my second, and the nurse practitioner in the office handled the testing and we got pregnant right away. There were also complications during the pregnancy that were handled in the office and with great compassion, and have a beautiful little girl to show for it! I cannot say enough for the wonderful doctors, midwives and nurse practitioner at this practice!!! more

I cannot say enough good things about this office and the people who work here. If you're looking for an OB/GYN that exceeds expectations - look no further. Or maybe you don't need the OB part anymore; maybe you'd just like to have an GYN that takes the time to listen and discuss your concerns about what's going on with you - Dr. McNeill is that doctor, and he should be your doctor too. I have been a patient of his for years, and can honestly say you will not find a more warm and competent, caring doctor - or team, than here at Bayview. They are complete professionals yet they still know how to smile and make you feel at ease, make you feel comfortable. Love those guys!!! 5 Stars all the way. more

I switched to this practice when i first started working as an RN on the mom/baby unit at Bayfront Hospital 9 years ago. Their patients simply have the best outcomes. It didn't hurt that all their patients seemed to love them as well. The group as a whole are professional, consistent, experienced, current, and incredibly nice people. Of all the worries I had being pregnant, and having my 2 children...the one thing I didn't have to worry about were my deliveries. I knew I was in the best possible hands. Most of my colleagues and friends agree-best in town! more

I have been a patient at Bayview from the day the office was opened and am so thankful I found this incredible team of people! I can't say enough about everyone there and the care they have given me over the years. Everyone is very professional and skilled, but extremely friendly and outgoing as well. They are always available to answer your questions and go over your concerns and go out of their way to see you in the office when you need a last minute appointment. I have been fortunate to have 2 wonderful babies delivered by this practice-the first by Lucy, and the second by Dr. McNeil. When I came into the office today for a follow-up, everyone made a point of coming to see me and my newborn son and it made me feel as if I was truly part of their extended family. I will always be grateful for the wonderful care I have received from the Bayview Family! Thank you so much Dr. McNeil, Dr. Reyes, Lucy, Darlene, Liz, Laurie, Cathy, Ann and Nancy-you all are the best! more

I moved to St. Petersburg when I was 8 months pregnant and I had to find a new OBGYN before giving birth. I am very glad that I went to Bayview! I was able to meet both doctors and both midwives before being full term, which eased my nerves because I loved all of them. I felt comfortable with whoever was on call for the day of my delivery. I ended up having Dr. Reyes when I went into labor and he was FANTASTIC! I delivered my precious baby girl with no epidural and recovered very quickly. Dr. Reyes was wonderful and he has been great at each of my post op visits. Thank you Dr. Reyes for such a wonderful first delivery experience and thank you to the rest of the Bayview team for making my move here excellent! more

Bayview OBGYN was a great experience. I wish I would have known about this practice office when I was pregnant with my first one 12 years ago. The doctors, and nurses were very caring. I would call them after hours and explain my concerns and they would have to reassure me that everthing was going to be ok. Thanks to Darlean!! I made it through. DR. Reyes thanks so much!!!!! You are the best!!!! Never thought recovery would have been so easy. And so painless. DR. McNeill thanks for the talk we had, when I was so worried about the baby hearing test. I have deleivered my three kids with this practice and they are incredible. They are caring ,compassionate and always there. I can't imagine a better experience. I love them and will always have a warm place in my heart for the rest for the rest of my life when I think back on my pregnancies and births. Thank you to the entire practice. Dr. McNeill, Lucy, Darlene and Dr. Reyes really have special gifts that other doctors and midwives should learn from. We have been patients of this practice since 2006 and could not imagine a better group! We have experienced the tremendous loss of two sons and during each difficult pregnancy, Dr. McNeiill and Lucy took special time with us, making personal calls just to check how we are doing and really offering that encouragement to stay strong. We never thought we would have the courage to try again, but Dr. McNeill and Lucy both gave us the encouragement we needed and we now have the most beautiful daughter! During her pregnancy they saw us anytime we needed to ""calm our nerves"" and I am so happy that Lucy was able to deliver our miracle. Since I started going here for my 2nd baby they have been so great, from the beautiful office in downtown St Petersburg, to the friendly people that work there. It is the only place I would go to and send others too. All the doctors and nurse practitioners are all so nice and make you feel at home. Darlene was outstanding with my delivery and she was there for me and my family, if we had any questions. I have told all my friends about this office and actually 2 of my friends are going there too and love it. Thank you for making my journey through having my 2nd the best it could be. I never in a million years thought a pain-free delivery was possible, but IT WAS! I am a new mommy to a five week old, beautiful boy and he would not be here if it weren't for Dr. McNeil and his caring staff. I went in for a scheduled doctor appt. to find out I was in pre-term labor at 28 weeks. It was the midwife's attentiveness that saved my baby. They immediately sent me to Bayfront for treatment and to stop my contractions. I ended up on bedrest for the duration of my pregnancy and thanks to Dr. McNeil, we made it to 37 weeks! I had a completely pain-free delivery and an amazing experience while at Bayfront Baby Place. I highly recommend Bayview OBGYN for the best care for you and your baby. I have been a patient here for 4 years now, and have absolutley loved my experiences here. The front office staff, especially Nancy, is always extremely friendly and greets you by name with a warm smile every time you come into the office. Dr. McNeil is fantastic! He has delivered both of my children and I trust his expertise completely. He also is a caring and compassionate doctor who goes the extra mile to follow up on his patients when there are concerns or issues they are experiencing. And in my experience this is a rare gift and is why this group stands out! Lucy and Kathy display the same extra care and consideration....I think the world of all of them, and Dr. Reyes is a great addition to the team. The little interaction I have had with him tells me he is another rare find! If you are undecided on an OBGYN group, you should not be anymore...this group is the best! I want to share this special office with everyone. When walking in you can always see a smile on Nancy's face when she is calling your name before you even sign in. I do miss Dr Spytek but its okay because Liz does not miss a beat. If I could have children I would want Lucy to deliver. I do know this that when I'm lucky to have my First Grand Child Bayview Ob/Gyn will be deliviering! Pros: The Entire Staff is WONDERFUL Cons: I CAN'T THINK OF ANY!!! more

I have been a patient at Bayview for over 4 years now. I highly recommend This office. I had my yearly exam today. It was about 11:00 and they were so busy, but I noticed how organized the waiting area was and how calm Nancy (the girl at the front counter) was, she had everything under control. She still greeted me with a big smile! You rarely find that these days. For some ladies the OB/GYN is a nerve racking place, but the doctors and staff make it really relaxing and calm. If you need a great OB/GYN Bayview is the place! and expect to be greeted with a big smile at the front desk!!!! Pros: Great Doctors, Frieldly, Comfortable environment Cons: NONE! more

I highly reccomend this office to anyone who is looking for a new OBGYN. I went to the doctors office for my five week checkup and the office was very busy. I was brought in on time and with no problem. I was seen by Lucy and was on my way. The staff and the doctors are the best here in this office. I remember when I moved to St.Pete. I had just found out I was pregnant, I didn't know anyone aside from a co-worker here and there of my husbands. I was fortunate enough a female co-worker was a patient of Bayview. She raved about how wonderful Dr. McNeill and his staff was. She had been a patient for many years. I took her word, not knowing anyone, I called Bayview. I will never forget the response I got immediatley. Nancy was who answered the phone. I proceded to tell her that I was new to the area, newly pregnant and I was refered and what was my next step. She was so very friendly and made me feel at ease right away. She explained everything to me and not at one time did I feel like I was being rushed. I had come to my new OB appointment, with all my paperwork, and I was greated with a big smile, I signed in, sat down and waited. Nancy called me to the window and as though I was a patient for years, began asking me how I was settling in, how things were going with my recent move, it was obvious she was busy, but she took the time to make me feel welcome, and she remembered my by just a phone conversation. From that day on, I felt as though going to my doctor appointment was like visiting friends. I was greated that kindly each and ever time I came to the office. The entire staff was that wonderful. I never felt as though I was just another patient, I felt like it was a family and we were all part of it. I was fortunate to see all the doctors and was treated kind by the entire staff. I began recommending people myself. I never had a bad experience, and I will never forget my first visit meeting Nancy and how wonderful she made me feel. I have since moved away, I was blessed to have both my children with Dr. McNeill and the staff there. I have yet to find another practice with such class and compassion. The last several weeks have been very frustrating due to unexpected gynecological problems. Times like this can also be very frightening. Every time I come in for an appointment I am greeted with a smile by a very very friendly yet professional front desk person. I notice she is very busy most of the time and seems to keep everything and everyone in order. I see Liz Gonzalez for all my needs but this time my problem went beyond that. I also had to see Dr. Reyes and Dr. McNeil. Their care has been most professional and also compassionate for someone who has never had a problem before. I was well informed of all the issues at hand and made to feel comfortable and at ease. The nurses are all very friendly and truly act like they care. I know there are hundreds of patients in this office daily and they still manage to stay focused on their standard of care. After searching around town for the best OBGYN with midwives, we chose this practice, and we are certainly glad we did! The first impression when entering the office and being greeted by the receptionist, Nancy I could tell this was the practice for me. My experience with Dr. Reyes and team was absolutely perfect. From the very beginning, we were given all the information needed to assure a stress-free pregnancy. But the main plus about this team is their bedside manner. Every single woman in this practice is knowledgeable, kind, and definitely goes out of her way to make mom feel cared for. We were lucky enough to have Dr. Reyes during delivery. What a blessing! He was patient, energetic, and loving throughout the final stages of labor. I couldn't imagine having a better doctor by your side. He was calm and collected when labor became drawn out and suction was required to bring our little girl into the world. All I can say is -- If you are looking for practice that doesn't just treat you like another number, you won't be disappointed. I delivered my first child two years ago with Lucy. She was incredible! When I discovered I was pregnant again of course I happily made my first appointment. I could not believe the difference. The receptionist, Nancy who used to greet us warmly, was at best, rude. Then I find out that the ultrasound lady who had been so warm and comforting during my first pregnancy has left the practice! I have not been treated anywhere near as well as I was during my last pregnancy and nearly had an altercation with Dr. Reye's nurse. I am now looking for a new OB/GYN. This practice was the best in St Pete, now I don't feel they care about me at all. :( Pros: This WAS a great practice not too long ago Cons: What Happened??? more

I have been a patient of Liz Gonzalez for 12 years - when I first had the opportunity to meet Liz I had been mis-diagnosed for years and was in bad shape. She fixed me up and I will not see anyone else. The office staff is nice and polite and her nurse is awesome too. \r \r Liz always makes you feel comfortable and takes the time to listen and talk with you. I have recommended so many friends to Liz, I feel bad when I hear about women who don't go for their yearly checkups because they feel uncomfortable or have not found a dr they like. \r \r Liz saved my life and I would recommend her and the practice to anyone - going in (usually for me once a year) is like going to see old friends/family... it's a nice feeling!! I got to meet all the Doctors and they are all wonderful, very professional and kind they answer all the questions I had and treated me really nice. I delivered my baby with Darlene. Not knowing what to expect since it was my first one I was nervous, but she made me feel comfortable held my hand while going trough the worst pain ever!! and just the whole process was easier.
