I have been going to Dr. McNeil for over 10 years now. He delivered my first son in 98 while at the his previous location on 5 th Ave. N. When I got pregnant the second time I went back to that office and saw that his name was not on the front sign anymore. I panicked and called a friend who had also been a patient of Dr. McNeil?s. That is when I learned that he moved to the new location in downtown St. Petersburg. I love all of the staff, everyone from doctors to receptionists. They are all polite and friendly. Everyone is very patient and answers all questions. They treat everyone the same. Lucy delivered my second and third son?s. During labor for my second child, there was a slight complication. Lucy never hesitated, and acted with extreme expertise to deliver my son safe and sound. She is wonderful. dr. mcneill and the entire staff at bayview are wonderful! my husband and i could not have made a better choice of doctors. this was our first baby and they were great at addressing our questions and concerns, very compassionate and trustworthy, very knowledgable and informative, and had a great bedside manner. we wouldn't change a thing about our entire pregnancy, delivery and post natal thanks to their staff! more

Dr. McNeil is definitely the best doctor I have ever seen. He talked to me about all my concerns with a C Section and made me feel very comfortable with the decision. He's sweet, knowledgable, confidant, and compassionate. He was wonderful with my 3 year old, like an Uncle! Dr. Spyteck is a doll too. I have had no problems and would recommend them to anybody. I switched ob doctors when my husband and I knew we were ready to start trying for children....I have had friends who had Dr. McNeill deliver their children, and I knew from their experiences that there was no one else I wanted to trust with this most treasured experience! Going to Bayview Ob/Gyn was one of the best decisions I have ever made!!! It took my husband and I 10 months to get pregnant...we thought this was forever, but Dr. McNeill assured us this was normal, giving us the confidence to relax and succeed. As a first time mom I had many fears.....I am a worrier by nature, so I placed many concerned calls to the practice, and they were always addressed timely. More importantly, they never made me feel like a nuisance or that my questions were ridiculous. I am also a workaholic by nature, and Dr. McNeill sternly addressed my out of whack priorities, but he did so with great respect...it was clear his number one priority was my health and the health of my baby. His directives regarding my work schedule quickly resolved many of my preeclampsia symptoms, and I now have a beautiful, healthy baby boy. My C-section went very well, and the scar has healed beautifully...Dr. McNeill not only has an exceptional bedside manner, but is also an excellent surgeon! I am so grateful to not only Dr. McNeill, but also to the entire staff. Lucy is fantastic, as is Rebecca, and Dr. McNeill's nurse, Cathy. We truly feel like everyone at Bayview Ob/Gyn is part of our extended family....as crazy as it sounds I will miss my weekly visits! They are so good we may just have to try for a second child....and that is a bold statement coming from a sleep deprived mother of a 4 week old with colic! I have been a patient of Dr. McNeill's for about 10 years, since he was at the old office. Almost 6 years ago,I was pregnant with my 1st child and met Lucy Bosley for the 1st time. With both of them, my husband and I felt very comfortable. Dr. McNeill has delivered all 3 of my sons, and I have always felt very safe in his hands. He also has performed laser hair removal, which had excellent results. Everyone in this practice is compassionate and professional. I can call at any time, and everyone knows me by name. I always get followup calls in a timely manner. I work in the medical profession,and have very high standards of care. I hold myself and my colleagues to these standards. I make no exception with the care of myself or my family. Last summer, I experienced a miscarriage, and Dr. McNeill, Lucy and staff were caring beyond measure. As a professional and as a patient, I can't tell you how much I appreciated the care I received. I have referred several patients to Bayview, and all have been impressed and pleased. I would not refer to a practice that I was not completely comfortable with. I will be a patient with this practice for a long time. Pros: Standards of care, staff Cons: Wait time, but not unusual for this type of practice. Time goes quicklly more

I recently had my 2nd son under Dr. McNeill's care. The experience was wonderful! Dr. McNeill is such a professional, caring person. My husband and I always felt like I was being taken care of as well as our baby.\r I did experience preterm labor which led me to bedrest. Dr. McNeill knew exactly what to do to get me to a healthy delivery date. Dr. McNeill delivered our son by an unexpected c-section. I recovered quickly and the baby is just a doll! We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful doctor. It is without reservation that we recommend Dr. McNeill and his entire office staff! Pros: The entire medical staff-truly wonderful! more

I have been going to Bay View OB/Gyn since they opened their new office in 2001 and have been a patient of Doctor McNeills for over 9 years, he delivered my last two children. Dr. McNeill and his staff have always put my health and the babies first with excellent prenatal care. During my deliveries, including one c-section, I had no worries because I know Dr. NcNeill is not only a great doctor, but surgeon. \r \r My Doctors visits were never rushed and all my quesitons were always answered. I have been a patient of Dr. McNeill for probably 10 years or more now and could not ask for a better doctor. When I first starting seeing Dr. McNeil, it was at his old office with Dr.Bart. I was pregnant with my 1st child and was under his care there along with the other Dr and staff. My experience there was not too good, but when I talked to Dr. McNeill about it, he took care of the bad situation for me. I knew from then on I could really trust this Dr and know he will take good care of me and my baby. A few years later, when I heard he was going to open his own practice at another office, I was so HAPPY. The first time I went to his new office and was greeted with a smile and friendly faces, I knew I was going to stay with this doctor for a long time. I had my other 2 children under their care (at the new office) and I had nothing, but good experiences. Lucy and Liz are the BEST. It's a good feeling when you go into the office and most of the staff knows you by your name. This shows they care and your health is very important to them. I highly recommend this office to everyone. I love it there. Thank you so much Dr.McNeill, Lucy, Liz and the staff for caring. You all are the BEST :-) Pros: Having Dr.McNeill, Lucy, Liz and the other staff in one office will bring a smile to your face knowing they all care. Over 5 years ago, a friend told us about Bay View OBgyn and Dr. McNiell. However, Lucy Bosley was the first doctor/midwife we met and we, my husband and I just love her to death. Of course, every one there is friendly. After so long, plus 3 of our 5 children born under their care, we feel like family. Most every one know us by name. For new moms in the delivery room, Lucy inspires the greatest of confidence. Everybody that we've referred to Bayview and they've tried them, loves them. On average, the visit time is about an hour, not too bad. However, the nice comfy atmosphere and awesome views of the city (downtown building and even the water) help time to pass by quickly. I really can't say enough good things and feel like I owe them mountains of gratitude. Pros: Ambience is great, designated parking great, personallable staff Cons: None whatsoever more

I first started seeing Dr. McNiell with my first prgnancy in '99. When I became pregnant again a few years later, I moved over to his new office, Bayview Ob/Gyn. I couldn't ask for a better group of professionals to take care of me and my unborn children. Nearly everyone at the office knows who you are and great you at every visit. I have had only one complaint during my years at the office and it was resolved quickly and compassionately on both ends. I recently had my fourth son and was willing to wait an extra week for induction, just so that Lucy Bosley would be back from vacation to deliver him. I really couldn't be any happier. Everyone there really does sem to enjoy coming to work everyday. more

When it comes to the health of you and your child you need to make sure you find a doctor that you can rely on, that you trust with your life and feel like you know. You need to be able to feel comfortable and respected. In the worst emergency ever you should feel like your in the best care available. You'll find all that and more at Bayview. Being only 17 and my first child I couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of me. Not only does the Dr.'s remember you and your name but the staff does too. They were awesome!!! I want to get pregnant again just so I can go back... Just kidding. I love you guys Thanks for everything. If your looking for an OBGYN try this one and I promise you'll be glad you did. more

I have had both of my children through Bayview and it was a wonderful experience. Lucy is wonderful as are all the other doctors. The staff are all very nice and they understand your time is important and they try their best to get you in and out in a hurry. They are wonderful! more

I was referred to Bayview by a friend and I am forever grateful to her. Dr. McNeill and his staff have given me the best gifts, two beautiful, healthy boys. My phone calls were returned in a reasonable length of time when I had even the silliest of questions. Having had a previous miscarraige, I often had concerns during my last pregnancy, all of which were met with compassion and expertise. I found out I was pregnant, yeah and decided to call Bayview. A friend of mine had her babies with nurse midwife Lucy Bosley AT A DIFFERENT PRACTICE years ago and loved her.Before my first appointment I had some spotting so I called. They first didn't even want me to come in, or wanted me to wait a week. Having this be my first pregnancy I was trying not to react however I was scared like any mother would be. Glenda the nurse told me to wait 2 HOURS and she would call me back when Lucy came in to see what I should do. 3 HOURS went by and NO CALL. I called her back when GLENDA sternly said to me, I TOLD YOU I WOULD CALL YOU BACK WHEN LUCY GETS HERE. I apologized and kindly reminded her that she said she would call me back in 2 HOURS and that I was just trying to figure out what to do. I finally went in 2 days later...they did not do anything except the ultrasound. They didn't do anything, not even a bloodtest. 3 days later when I started bleeding RED, I went to the emergency room. They took my HCG levels, however I had nothing to compare this with because BAYVIEW did not do anything before. I called them the next day and told them what happened and they told me to go back to the EMERGENCY ROOM and get my levels retaken. I WAS LIKE WHAT??? SHe did not want me to go there obviously. GLenda always took hours to call me back and I only called 3 times in a peroid of 3 weeks. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and they never even asked me any questions like...Are you taking prenatal vitamins? You would think they would have given them to me when I first went in. I have switched doctors now. To be perfectly honest when I was talking to other offices before choosing them they told me to ""STAY AWAY FROM BAYVIEW OBGYN."" Two different offices in the Pinellas county actually said that. I only went with them for Lucy, but no one person is worth that much headache. DO NOT GO HERE. more

I have been seeing Dr. McNeill for many years and feel we need more doctors like him. Dr. McNeill is one of the best!! Very compassionate, on time and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. He has a wonderful staff and I would highly reccomend him to anyone. more

I have had this Doctor for almost 7 years now. I have moved to Virginia now and miss service I had. Dr. Mcneill is a wonderful Dr. He takes the time to give the best quality care possible. I doubt I will find care like that again. more
