We were in a panic as it was about 9pm on labor day and we had sewage water coming up in our shower. I called my family members for a plumber referral and my brother said he used Benjamin Franklin in the past and had a wonderful experience. I owe him big time. Not only was the call center informative but the plumber Ed they sent out was not only simpathic to our situation but very professional. He arrived in a white shirt, introduced himself but on his booties and assessed the situation. He informed us right away what the problem was and how he had to have an associate help him to resolve it. Ed reviewed the fee involved and got right to work. When they reached the problem they brought my husband to review the issue ( tree roots in the line) and advised him what we have to do next to resolve the issue for good. Even though it was a messy job and he left socking wet and very dirty he was a true professional. leaving he reviewed all the paperwork for the service performed as well as the work we have to have done. We look forward to working with him and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in the future. I will with 2 thumbs up recommend them to any one who needs a professional, courteous plumbing service. more

John Monaghan was thorough, informative and quite pleasant. He checked all lines for water pressure, tested the quality of my water and gave me excellent advice. Our water heater broke on a Saturday afternoon. The plumber that installed the water heater five years ago was on vacation. So we started calling from the yellow pages. We couldn't get anyone to answer their phone or come out and the one plummer that said he would replace it wanted an extra $800 to do the job since it was a weekend. Ben Frankilin was the only company that told us the water heater might still be under warranty. They took the time to ask for our serial number looked it up and sure enough it was still covered under the limited warranty. Ed came out first thing Monday morning as promised and installed a new unit. He was very polite and couteous and got the job done in a timely manner. We were only charged for labor. I will use Ben Franklin for all of my plumbing needs and will highly recommend them. more

Tuesday evening we noticed that we didn't have any hot water. I also saw that there was a small drip from our water heater in basement. I called Ben Franklin that night and made an appointment for early Wednesday morning. I was called at 8:00 AM and the serviceman came shortly thereafter. He diagnosed the problem and ordered us a tall 50 gallon water heater. It was delivered, installed and cleaned-up by 11:00. Ed did a great job! more

I noticed a small wet spot on the drop ceiling in the basement yesterday so I called Ben Franklin. Ed came first thing this morning and found that a connection in the hot water pipe had never been soldered together--since 1987! He said we were really lucky it hadn't leaked before this. We call Ben Franklin for all our plumbing work because they are so reliable, neat and efficient. more

Ed came out today to fix the seal on a toilet. Throughout his work, he paid a lot of attention to detail, wearing disposable booties and protecting my new hardwood floors by placing thick black mats on the floor around his work. As I have just recently had new flooring installed and am putting my house on the market tomorrow, I certainly appreciate his cleanliness, attention to detail, and respect to me and my home. Excellent job! (and the toilet doesn't leak anymore!) more

We had a significant leak coming from below our washer and dryer. After some investigation, Ed realized that it was the condensation line coming from the air conditioner on the other side of the house. He fixed the problem quickly and explained everything that he was doing. He was courteous and friendly. This is our second time using Ben Franklin and we've been very pleased both times! more
