HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Called in the morning, they sent a repairman out to my house within 3 hours, that was good. It gets worse....after looking at my icemaker in the refrigerator I am told it is a plumbing issue, them I am told I need a water valve. They will order part, and I will get a call the next day with an estimate. The repairman quickly took the $75 for coming out, yet it is now 6 days later and I still haven't received a call. I have called MANY times, yet nobody answers. Today I am told that they still don't know the cost of the repair, but they will know tomorrow and they will call me. I am not holding my breath. I just wish I took the time to read the reviews here first, so that I could have been spared dealing with this incompetent ""business"", along with the rude female who answers the phone (rarely).\r more

I seriously do not know how this place even classifies as a business!!! This is the rudest and most incompetent, incapable company around!! The only reason I had the displeasure of being introduced to these crooks, was because of an extended warranty purchased. If you want to get belittled on the phone by miserable receptionists, use Aid!! No customer service what so ever!! The manager/owner (who knows), is even worse. he thinks that hanging up on customers like a pubescent teen is an acceptable practice!!! Do yourself a favor and NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS WORTHLESS COMPANY!!!! Same yourself the stress and aggravation. I will be filing complaints on BBB for sure. Oh, and don' t be fooled by the positive reviews, they are most definitely fake, and added by their friends and family.\r more

Worst customer service there is. They are the rudest and most unprofessional company around. Never knew customer service consisted of the manager hanging up on their customers, like a adolescent boy in middle school! Funny how there are 2 listing for the same exact business, one with horrible reviews, and this one with positive reviews. Which are obviously being written by themselves.. Nice try, but you aren't fooling anyone! Do your selves a favor, and NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! more

In all honesty - the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. The 2 different ladies that answer the phones can't be real human beings, I've never spoken to such rude people before. They came to fix my television, took it out of my apartment (banged it against the wall on the way out without any protective cover). I would call to check up on the status of it and they would have no idea what is going on, they told me to call Best Buy. They had my TV for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They really must enjoy making people crazy. WHATEVER YOU DO - DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE (if you can even call it 'service'). By the way, this is the first review I have ever written, but thought it was worth it to save all of you from these horrible people. more

WORST service ever. \r \r We needed to call them multiple times in order to get someone to just come look at the repair. They sent a technician who looked at the fridge and read the error codes to someone on the phone. He then said he needed to get approval for the repair.\r \r A week later we called back and they said they're waiting on approval from the warranty company.\r \r So we call the warranty company and lo and behold, they JUST received the request for parts.\r \r Aid is a bunch of liars, rude and just plain awful. We only got paired up with them as they were the closest for service in our area on the extended warranty.\r \r If you do not need to use Aid Audio and TV, don't! I cannot stress this enough! more

I am so glad that the customers that had such a positive experience with this company did so and I hope it continues. Unfortunately, I cannot shake the feeling that some of those positive comments are fake and are written by family and friends. I was treated terribly right off the bat without just cause by the woman that answers the phone there. I asked a simple question and she talked to me like I was an idiot and than hung up on me. After reading other reviews it looks like hanging up on people is routine with them. I didn't bother calling back because I knew I would get no where with this idiot who gets pleasure out of hanging up on people. I have voiced my complaint to the BBB and I am sure the matter will be resolved to my satisfaction. more

BETTER THAN I EXXPECTED 7/28/2011

Called them to repair my washer, wwas told by Samsung to call them. Looking at reviews I was skeptical about them but decided to give them a try. I can telll you it went perfectly. There were no problems. The man camme when they said he would. He removed some coins from inside the washer and I was back in business. I would deffinately use them again. more

terrible -do not use 7/28/2011

AID Audio & TV recommended by Toshiba to check out a terrible odious smell - electrical and plastic burning - could not leave on. 2 repairmen both said they couldn't smell it - took it away - never called - when I called they said it needed a half panel - took long time to get back - $225 + the 75 to come out - still smelled - p/u again they called it was working fine I said it always was - it smelled o they didn't smell anything they said - brought it back - it still smelled - I called another company who said it would be over $1000 to get new panel - not worth the money - I called Aid Audio they put me on hold forever - called back - they didn't answer. Feel ripped off! more

EXCELLENT SERVICE 7/27/2011

Called them for service on my LG washer. They came when they said, the part was available on the truck and the tech installed the pump in only 20 minutes. They cleaned up the mess and I was very happy. Good job. more

Had to wait for days for them to squeeze me in, but they refused to wait 5 minutes for me to get home. Inconsiderate to the extreme. I will not be using this service again. more

Crooks or merely lazy? You decide! Avoid. 7/8/2011

Two weeks ago these guys rush in, 30 mins late for the scheduled repair window, quickly replace a part on my washer/dryer and leave, telling me that ""if [I] ever run into problems with the drying component, call them, they have the part in stock."" All seemed well, but 3 days later I notice my machine is not drying properly anymore. Coincidence?!? I schedule another appointment with a different service company, take off another day from work, and cannot use my machine for 2 weeks. Another repair guy, from a different company, comes over, takes the time to actually take the machine apart, something AID never did. He shows me that AID had not checked for probable causes of the initial part failure: the vent on my machine contained 12+ months of gunky lint and which caused the initial part to break. So... .my conclusion is that at best they were simply LAZY... or perhaps just 100% DISHONEST CROOKS. By not checking the vent they'd set me up for additional machine failure (repair business?). Not only was my machine not working properly after they left, they could have caused more and permanent damage if this had not been fixed. The remark specifically addressing the dryer issue, which was not the issue they came to repair, makes me wonder if they were well aware of probable cause and/or which part was next to fail. Do note: THERE IS NOT PART that would have needed replacing. Is required cleaning. Filing a complaint, and posting a review. AVOID AVOID AVOID. more

Cold Again.... 6/28/2011

So I get home from work last night and open the frige to get a cold beverage. Problem...no lights and nothing is cold. So I get out the book and call the customer service department for LG, they walk me thru some troubleshooting but nothing works. The refer me to one of there service companies, Aid Service located in Flushing. So I give them a call this morning and tell them the problem with my frige (no cooling, no lights, no display, no nothing). They told me that the main control board was no good and they could have technician at my home today, told them that the wife would be home. Technician showed up with part in hand and repaired the frige. I was a little doubtful that there are service companies that would do same day service(was I surprised), I can't thank Aid Service enough for repairing it so quickly!!!!! more

A+++++++ 6/27/2011

On Wednesday in the middle of doing a load of laundry my LG washer decided to stop working. I called LG and they referred me to Aid Service, called them later that day, spoke to the rep, he asked me some questions and from what I described he knew what was wrong with my washer. They did not have the part but they would order it and come to my home on Saturday to install it. Sure enough Saturday morning they called, they said they would be at my home between 11:30 and 1:30, repairman arrived at a little past noon. Installed the part and the washer is running like new. I can?t thank them enough for the prompt and courteous service. Well done Aid Service and thank you LG!!!! A+++++++++++ more

THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/17/2011

I had AID to do an Air Conditioner repair. It was under a Repair Master service plan. I had to wait 2 weeks from my call for an appointment. Then 10 minutes before the top window of the call the repair man called a said ""truck broke down"" and this was just a call to be ""nice"" and let me know. Called AID and asked them to send someone else, after all I left work early for the repair man. I was put on hold then disconnected. 3 times. They sound like they don't want to do warranty work to me. My neighbor upstairs had they exact same problem with them. They are just BAS more

TV has been fine since then. 4/27/2011

The morning of the call, they gave a 1.5 hour window. When the tech arrived, he said he had seen the problem before (power supply), replaced the power supply, and the TV was fixed in about 15 minutes. That was a week ago, and the TV has been fine since then. more

Excellent service, very responsive 4/26/2011

They installed my pool in the late-80's and returned to replace the liner this week. My questions were answered completely and to my satisfaction. Excellent service, very responsive, and I would recommend them. more

Aid Audio TV was polite and professional 4/1/2011

I'm not easily pleased, but everyone at Aid Audio TV was polite and professional. None were condescending or insulting as witnessed by the previous two reviewers. Having a small business myself these people know how to talk to their customers and explain to their customers what was wrong with their TV. They certainly did with me and they delivered as promised in 3 to 5 business days (they fixed Grandma's Philips 37"" flat screen 3 and 1/2). Five stars to Aid Audio, you and I are some of the last holdouts of good customer service more

Thugs, Thieves and Scammers. 2/2/2011

WORST SERVICE IN THE HISTORY OF TIME. This is absolute fact, I’m not exaggerating and using all caps just to sound overdramatic. Unless you want to get ripped off and be completely disrespected as a costumer: STAY AWAY FROM THESE THUGS AT ALL COST. I didn’t hire this despicable people voluntarily, I had read the reviews and I’m not insane; but I had no choice because of my dishwasher’s warranty by LG. HUGE MISTAKE to ignore the reviews and not demand the manufacturer use another service provider. All the details are bellow but long story short, I was insulted, taken advantage of and to cap it all off that mistake will now cost me $100-$120, which is 20% of the dishwasher’s price. I wont buy anything from LG / PC Richards, for as long as they keep doing business with this crooks. The details: Three weeks after first contacted by LG, Aid finally schedules my appointment. LG had repeatedly explained to them what had to be replaced, and so did I again when scheduling the repair. Well, the “technician” shows up (late of course) without the part. Says he hadn’t come to repair anything but: “just to see what the problem was” and, very condescendingly, tells me to schedule another appointment. I call to complain/reschedule but I’m completely ignored. They argue they ran out of the part needed (but that morning said nothing about it) and blame LG for everything/ not take any responsibility. Two weeks later, they finally schedule my repair. Being late again, I call to see where the “technician” is and the RUDEST woman answers. She proceeds to insult me for even calling, not let me talk and make fun of my accent, say she doesn’t have any way to get in touch with the “technician” so I just have to wait, refuse to let me talk to a supervisor or anyone else but her, and finally threaten to cancel the repair. I’m now furious and call LG immediately, meantime the “technician” arrives. Apparently is not the first time this woman does that to a customer, so I ask him to call his boss. The boss apologizes and I start thinking maybe this people are not that bad. HUGE MISTAKE # 2. While the “technician” repairs my dishwasher he BRAKES THE HANDLE. His name is TODD, do not let this man within 50 feet of your apartment. He is a liar and a cheater that will shamelessly lie to your face with no remorse. I tell him the handle was not broken before and he says he hadn’t noticed. I see a little plastic piece on the floor and by the time I realize is part of the handle, he was sitting where the piece was and I have no idea what he did with it. But he tells me he will order a new handle and come replace it at no cost to me, so I decide not to confront him about it. He assures me many times over this wont cost me anything. Two weeks later I call to see why they haven’t schedule the repair. After talking to two very rude women (I guess that is required to answer phones in that “company”), everyone tells me that I HAVE TO PAY for the handle. I ask to talk to Rick, the boss I had talked to before, but he sticks to the “you have to pay for it” script. It will cost me $100-$120, which I can’t afford. I’m sure this is how these scammers make their money, by reaping off costumers breaking something the warranty wont cover. Its like taking your car to the mechanic, they realize you are a girl and know nothing about cars, so they tell you the brakes are out, and while they fix the brakes they bust the transmission and overcharge you to repair it. Two months after my saga with Aid “Service” started, I have a broken dishwasher, feel totally violated as a costumer, and have no recourse against these thieves. So I have filed a complain with LG, will post this on every site I can find, and file another complain with the Better Business Bureau and the NY State Consumer Protection Agency. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THUGS OR YOU WILL PAY FOR IT. more
