I boarded my 9 month old Lab, Ranger, this past Saturday afternoon/night at Wufspa. I have to say they were really awesome! I have never boarded him before so I was very nervous even though I had seen their facility, met some of their friendly staff, and asked every question imaginable. I looked at 5 other facilities before I chose Wuf. Their staff was great. The facility was clean and nice. They were very patient, reassuring, and were happy to accomodate my requests. I chose the Penthouse Suite, which had 2 beds, both with pillow top mattresses, nice bedding and bright colored throw pillows, a nice throw rug on the floor, flat screen tv (i'm not sure when they turned this on or if they did-forgot to ask) and a webcam for me to watch him. They let me prepare his bedding and put his favorite toys in his suite myself, they took the time to show me how to use the webcam (which was one of the main reasons I chose them). Sounds dumb, but I was a wreck dropping him off and the girl who checked me in was very sweet and reassuring that they would take excellent care of him and not to worry. AND THEY ABSOLUTELY DID! \r
I watched him on the webcam almost hourly to check on how he was doing-even in the middle of the night. The staff in the daycare area kept close watch over them during playtime to make sure that if there were ""accidents"", they were cleaned up immediately, making sure there was no fighting, humping, etc. Ranger was a ""humping victim"" for a few minutes, but one of the guys (not the girl who was suppose to be watching them in the play area-which is my only complaint really since she wasn't paying attention!) stepped in and removed the dog who was doing the chasing/humping. \r
They also gave me a schedule of what time daycare ended, what time he would be fed and walked, what time he would wake up, go outside to potty, and go back to daycare. I was watching at each of these times and they were right on the money every time! I even witnessed him getting his morning belly rub when they went into his suite. \r
When I went to pick him up, one of the girls told me that he hadn't eaten his breakfast (which is normal for first-time boarders). She said when she went back and noticed that he hadn't eaten, she poured some warm water on his food and mixed a little wet food with it and then HAND FED him. Now that is something you will NOT find in most places if I had to guess!\r
If you are reading this review, I'm sure it's because you love your dog. No one loves their dog more than I do and I would ABSOLUTELY take him to Wuf again! You can tell these people really love the animals and that they take pride in their work!
Pros: Personalized, Friendly Staff goes the extra mile-CLEAN!
