YOU WOULD BE CRAZY NOT TO USE THIS!!!!! 1/22/2009

We have been using Whiteglove Housecall health for over a year now and couldnt be happier. As a matter of fact my kids dont even remember having to go out to a doctors offce. They think everyone gets this kind of service, and I think everyone should. As a mom of three kids, aged 9,7 and 5 , it was a real pain to haul all 3 to a crowded doctors office to sit next to the kid hacking thier illness all over everyone. I know for sure of 3 seperate occasions when we went to the doctor with one illness and let with an extra one. I even talked with the doctors office about this and they said it ""was just the nature of the beast"". Pros: No trips to the doctors office Cons: absolutely none more

WhiteGlove is a great deal! 1/19/2009

I have utililized WhiteGlove House Call twice and both times I have been so impressed. I have a toddler at home and work and it is hard to make time to see a doctor, especially when you know you will have to drive there, wait and then pick up a prescription. I called WhiteGlove to come to my work and we had something scheduled that afternoon. From the time I left my office, visited with the nurse practitioner, received my prescription (which they had on them at the appt) and returned to my office it took 20 minutes! I did not have to use sick leave or miss out on time with my child. I highly recommend using Whiteglove! Pros: Convienant, professional and friendly staff, low cost, on time. more

Unbelievably convienient and easy house call! 1/18/2009

Last weekend my son woke up holding his right ear and saying ""owie"" He's 2 and this was the first time he had localized his pain. My first thought was ""Great! He is really growing up."" and my second was ""Great! It's a weekend."". I called my peditrician's office and when a doctor called back they said there was a clinic available from 9am-12pm near the Arboretum. I REALLY didn't want to go down there for an ear infection and sit in a waiting room full of other germs.I also had been having trouble with cedar fever and I had rubbed my eyes so much that they were draining, red, and swollen. Pros: Came to the house!!! On time and quick, quality care. more

Saved my Life! 1/16/2009

I woke up sick - but still had to go to the office. I was immersed in work - but got on line to find one of those horrible emergency clinics - used white glove house call instead. A wonderful nurse practioner showed up at my office in less than an hour. She gave me penicillan and I never even had to go to pharmacy! Amazing! She even brought me a ""wellness"" kit with soup, crackers, gatorade. WhiteGlove literally saved my life! Thanks! more

WhiteGlove is Super Convenient & They Offer a Great Service! 1/16/2009

Great service, especially when you're needing medical attention and don't feel like getting out. They showed up on time, tended to my needs and even brought a CARE package with things I might need but not be able to get out and purchase such as Gatorade, crackers, soup and Kleenex. Pros: Very convenient, doctor/nurse practitioner took her time to discuss and treat Cons: None that I saw more

Great Service When You Are Sick 1/16/2009

I called the White Glove Service at 8 AM and at 9 AM someone arrived at my home. I got the medicine I needed plus a great bag of things to get me by (soup, tissues, crackers, drinks, throat drops, pain medicine) so I didn't have to leave the house and go to the store. They checked on me and I got a second dose of medicine after three days. If you get sick and need to stay home in bed, this service is a lifesaver. No waiting for hours to get worked in to a doctor's office. All the time usually spent trying to see a doctor and get medicine was spent in bed trying to recover. I'll keep using the service for sure. I think this is a great idea that is long overdue! more

The most convenient, wonderful service ever! 1/16/2009

I had a horrible cold come out of no where on Dec. 23, the day before I was to take off for the holidays. I called 3 different Dr.'s and could not get an appointment due to the surplus of sick people. The med clinic was a 6-8 hour wait and I had to get out of town for the holidays. So I chose to self medicate with Mucinex, Robitussin & Motrin. After a week of this, I finally threw in the towel and needed help. I was getting worse. Our new insurance began Jan. 1 and everyone was talking about this new ""White Glove Medical"". So I thought what the helk. In 2 hours, a fabulous Dr. Rice was in my office giving me a more thorough exam than my own family Dr. ever had, and came prepared witha wonderful ""cold/sick care package"", his own on hand antibiotics and all. He even asked if I needed him to pick up my meds from Walgreen's for me because i wasn't feeling well. Wow! What a concept? Pros: Fast, convenient to your home or office & come prepared for whatever you need! Cons: None! more

Best Service Ever 1/12/2009

The Austin WhiteGlove House Call Health Service is the best thing since slice bread! The nurse that came to my office during the Thanksgiving Holidays was awesome! I answered a few questions, she took my temperature and, gave me 3 days of medication and I was done. Painless!!!! more

The Ultimate Employee (and Employer) Benefit 1/12/2009

We use Whiteglove House Call Health for day-to-day health coverage of our employees. As the owner of a small business, the company suffers if our staff is out to the doctor's office let alone if they had to be off work and ill for any length of time. Over the last year, several of us have used the at home and at work medical visits at the early signs of getting sick and it's been super fast and convenient in every case. I've even had them come to the house on a Sunday evening to take care of one of my employees. Their staff is friendly and wonderful AND ALWAYS ON TIME...I can't imagine sitting in a lobby at my doctor's office among sick kids and miserably waiting for a delayed appointment ever again. It's been a TREMENDOUS help to us and keeps up going strong. Pros: Very timely, always friendly, personal service when I need it more

Novel take on healthcare... 1/12/2009

I had White Glove come visit me at work right before the holidays when I couldn't shake a cold I'd had for about a week. The doctor was friendly, thorough, and came prepared with even prescription medicine to get me through the next couple of days until my prescription would be ready at my pharmacy. He brought me a wellness kit which had various OTCs in it as well as soup, fluids and snacks. It saved me a lot of time (I would have had to take a half day if I'd wanted to see my family doctor) and energy. I love my family doctor but was willing to give this a shot if the doctor provided was friendly and he was so I'll definitely use this service again. While the cost of the visit is more than an office visit, you can use your FSA card to pay for it and they make up for it in courtesy, meds and grocery items provided. I expect that the visit cost will go down as more people begin to take advantage of this mode of healthcare. I will be interested to see how this departure from the current paradigm in pans out in the future. Pros: They come to you, doctor was friendly, phone staff were friendly, lots of sick supplies provided Cons: Charge is more than an office visit, you don't get to choose your doctor (but if they're all nice, I don't care!) more

Could seeing the doctor be any easier (or better)? 1/12/2009

I was getting sick, had no time for a doctor visit, and was tired of popping OTC meds with no results. I called WhiteGlove, and they came to my office and diagnosed me at my desk. Of course, the nurse practitioner (basically same as Family Doctor for most things) not only figured out quickly what I needed, but she brought a ""feel better"" care package and offered to get medicine. Since she had some with her, she went downstairs and got it! Pros: Going to the doctor can't be better than this Cons: I guess if I needed ER or specialist services right away I would go to hospital anyway. more

A great alternative to going to the doctor 1/12/2009

Whiteglove is a great and convenient alternative to going to a doctor for several occasions. I've called on them a few times now and been very pleased with the service they have provided. They come quickly, spend the time necessary to thoroughly examine you and diagnose the problem and then get you the medicine you need. I've found them to be quite competent and knowledgeable. The thing i like most is how they follow up with phone calls to see how you are doing - both times i called on them, they followed up on at least two different days - they make sure you are getting better or revisit the meds and plan they made. It is really nice to have such easy and quick access to your doctor. I highly recommend their service. more

Best Health Care Experience in Years 1/12/2009

WhiteGlove makes house calls. Last time I got that kind of service was in the early 50s and it was rare even then. A very professional Clinical Nurse Practitioner, Anne, arrived late on a Friday afternoon. Anne reviewed my medical history, treated me in my living room, made an accurate diagnosis and gave me enough meds to last until the prescription which she ordered could be mailed to my house. On top of that, she brought me a filled to overflowing goody bag stuffed with chicken soup, vitamin water, cough drops, jello, ginger ale, apple sauce and similar. Cons: No Cons more

WhiteGlove House Call 1/11/2009

I highly Recommend White Glove HealthCare. I recently used there services and was very pleased. Shelley was very friendly and courteous, she also called and e-mailed me to check on me. I was very ill with the flu and ""not"" having to schedule an appointment with the doctor then drive and wait at the doctors office all while trying to manage the flu is something I didn't realized was a luxury until using White Glove services. Pros: Having them coming to me more

It takes a lot to impress me. Especially when it comes to medical care. Whiteglove is great! 1/9/2009

What a concept. You pay a membership fee and then medical care is available to you -- at home, at work, on weekends, at night, etc. And it is affordable. And so all those times when I have not been able to get myself or kids into see our doctor and ended up spending a lot of money and time at a walk-in clinic or emergency room goes away with this service. And better yet, when I called the service to come see my daughter, they were on-time. polite, caring ... and when they left, we had everything we needed. The meds, the juices, cough drops, kleenex, etc. And that only cost me $35. If I had spent 3 hours traveling to our doctor and paying our office co-pay, parking, and gas, it would of been more than $35. And then I still would of had to go to the grocery store and pharmacy and spend more time and money. For busy moms like myself, this service is amazing. In these times when money is scare, this service really makes sense. I have been talking it up to all my friends. Pros: Great service. Great value. more

Wonderful Service 1/6/2009

From the second I called I knew that WhiteGlove was totally different from a ""normal"" doctors office. Even over the phone their staff was awesome, helpful, and kind. Then they go to my house, and were just awesome. My son is autistic and doesn't usually cooperate with doctors (especially with that ""in and out"" mentality that other doctors have)...they took their time, and really were patient with my son. I really felt that they cared what I had to say and that they really cared about my son. I would totally recommend their service to ANYONE! Pros: Don't have to go anywhere, quality staff more

I love white glove 12/31/2008

I am going to copy this from my blog :)\r ""Will woke up screaming around 4 am saying his ear hurt. He said he wanted to go to the doctor right then. We told him we couldnt do that but we gave him tylenol and ear drops we got back in July when he had his last infection.\r \r At 8 am we called White Glove (Doctors and NPs that come to your home!!!) and they came out at 10 am!!\r \r How cool is that!?? They even brought a ?goodie bag? (soup, gatorade, crackers, cough drops, etc). Oh and to make it even better, they had the antibiotic on hand so we didnt have to go to the pharmacy!!\r \r They won?t treat under 2, but this is a totally cool setup! We also don?t have me (mom) on the plan, but now that I see how smooth it works, it?s tempting?.."" Pros: everything Cons: no one under 2 more

YEA!! The Old-Fashioned House Call is Back! 12/29/2008

After four days of a horrible sore throat and cough, I called my doctor to make an appointment for the next day, which was a Friday. They had nothing open, and I knew I couldn't go the entire weekend without some type of treatment. My assistant reminded me that our employer had just added the White Glove service to our health plan. I called them at 4:00 that afternoon, and they sent a nurse practioner to my home at 6:30 that night. What professional service! She did a complete health profile and a general examination (the same thing my doctor would have done). After diagnosing a sinus infection, she called in a prescription for an antibiotic and left me with a ""care package"" filled with soup, crackers, vitamin drinks, kleenix, cough drops, and several other items. This service allowed me to get treatment much sooner that I would have otherwise - without leaving my home and exposing myself to other sick people. more

Incredible Service! 12/22/2008

This service was recently added to my company's benefits package, so when I woke up with an eye infection last week I decided to give it a try. I called at 9 am and there was an extremely friendly and professional doctor at my office at 11 am. Just half an hour later I had my eyedrops and was back to work! No waiting at the doctor's office or running to the pharmacy. The bag of goodies they bring contains every single thing I would buy if I or one of my family members was sick. I have already enrolled my husband and son in the service and will definitely be calling them the next time my son is sick. This service is a must for busy professionals and moms! I cannot think of a single downside and have been telling all my friends and family what a great experience it was. Pros: Professional care that comes to you, affordable, convenient, quality service Cons: None that I can think of! more

White Glove treatment 12/12/2008

White Glove came out to help when I had a cold, and they were terrific. They didn't try to stick me an antibiotic, which wouldn't have helped, just to look like they were doing something. They gave me medicine that worked and a bag full of soup, crackers, cough drops, etc. No one could have been nicer or done a better job. more
