Best

I totally agree that Puppy mills are cruel and definitely need to be stopped. In addition, I believe you need to definitely hear both sides of the story. I believe there is SO MUC...

Worst

You fools that seem to think it's okay for anyone to have 600 dogs, do you have 600 kids? Cons: Bad people

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/24/2013

She is the devil incarnate. I can't believe she is openly still in business. She puts on a good show when you go to her house but believe me she sells and breeds dogs with genetic defects over and over again until they drop dead. I bought a Pomeranian from her that I love dearly, but she had many, many health problems, all genetic, that cost me thousands of dollars and the poor baby had a hard life (she was an amazing trooper in spite of it all) Renees sister did jail time and the detective that was working the case told me they were looking into prosecuting Renee as well but it never happened. I heard on the news tonight that Renees sister Wendy Layton has moved to Missouri and is in business again!! This is so unbelievable. There must be a way to shut them down. Renee even has the arrogance to do business with the same kennel name for all of these years! \r I guess that's a blessing since people like me can at least warn everyone about her. more

CRIMINAL DOG BREEDER RENEE 8/25/2011

Renee should have served jail time and have a felony criminal record because of her horrific treatment of the HUNDREDS maybe THOUSANDS of dogs she was responsible for. Unfortunately, it appears that she and her relatives in Skagit County got away with it. more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER (PUPPY MILL)!! 8/3/2011

In 2004 I contacted Wags & Wiggles Teacups asking for a Yorkie/Maltese mix puppy. My parents had purchased one from her a couple of weeks earlier. I wanted one from the same litter. She said that she still had one left. She brought out a little black puppy. She, as well as her littermate, were not old enough to take home. My parents picked up their puppy a couple of weeks later and I picked mine up a month or so later. My parents paid $800 for their male dog and I paid $900 for my female. We love our dogs, but people always ask me if mine is a poodle and ask my mom if hers is a Shih Tzu. We always tell them no, that they are Yorky/Maltese. I have always questioned if my dog was really a Yorky/Maltese. The prices are finally low enough for dog DNA tests that I could afford to have one done on my dog. I wanted to make sure that she was a Yorkie/Maltese so that when the time comes I will get the same breed. Turns out she is 3/4 POODLE and 1/4 SHIH TZU!! I don't love her any less, she is the best dog ever, but I paid $900 for a Yorkie/Maltese. Wag & Wiggle is a puppy mill; I know that now from the comments below. My experience of picking up my puppy in that she was running in this weird little run alongside of the house and she was filthy, stinking, and had so much poop stuck to her butt that I don't know how she was able to do her business. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER!! They will tell you anything you want to hear to get an exorbitant price for a puppy. more

Looking for a decedent of the dog I got from Wags & Wiggle 3/8/2011

I bought a dog from Renee in 2005 which was a Poodle (Black teacup) and a Long-Coat Chihuahua (tri-colored) mix. I don't know if there are any others out there from this litter (Born: Oct 1, 2004) but I really want another one with the same bloodlines, or at least from some of the bloodlines. She is the BEST DOG EVER! Listens well, loves the outdoors, durable, sweet, attentive, smart, cute. Does anyone know of anyone who bought a dog from her at that time with possibly the same lines? Please help! more

She will get Her's 4/2/2010

I worked for her for a while I she always said we were friends NOT EVEN. There is so much more to this story and she will be gotten people can't do all she has done and not get caught. The puppie millo is bad but that is just the frount of something much bigger. I was so nieve that I didn't see all of it till I got sick one day at the treatment that I saw going on. Mother dog left on the porch in the sun in a small carry cab (with no one even checking on her) to have her babbies. This woman is only after money and will do anything to get it. Belive me she has. If you have gotten a dog from her more than likely the pappers that you had to buy aren't even for your dog, I know this because mine weren't AKC took them back and she wouldn't give us our money back ($300) on the the AKC that were for another dog. B ut belive me this is all small potatos they will get her.BETTER!!!@! Pros: Not a thing Cons: EVERYTHING more

pupcicles 10/7/2009

Someone mentioned that she had frozen dogs in her freezer that she jokingly called ""pupcicles"", these were probably breeding dogs that she had killed because they were no longer able to reproduce and didn't want to feed anymore since she could not sell them. She figured there is no profit in feeding a useless animal. So these animals that brought her thousands of dollars she probably strangled and just tossed into the freezer for later disposal. She could have taken them to an animal rescue but why bother. The mind of a typical sociopath. Pros: Non whatsoever Cons: It's obvious more

Wags N Wiggles 6/6/2009

three years ago i was going to look for a dog. i was seventeen and should have known more before i went to look. one of the places was Wags n Wiggles off of Dubuque road in Snohomish. it was fairly close so i called and she told me to come on over! she was sitting there with her mom smoking a cigarette outside. she didn't answer many of my questions...she acted as if she didn't hear me. when i told her i was looking to purchase a dog that day she started to help. i told her i wanted a yorkie or something small like one,but she ""didnt have any"". she had this weird little fenced off part connected in front of her house...with a dog door that went inside. Renee told me she was going to let out all her small dogs. five minutes later she opens the dog door, and out flies about twenty small different mixed dogs. All dirty and matted. one of the dogs jumped up on the fence with loving eyes and wouldn't leave me alone. i picked it up,and asked what the breeds mixed were. i could tell it definitely it had yorkie colorings.Renee told me it was a Yorkie/Pom. And i asked how much it was...she told me 500. Also, when i asked how big it will get she said only 3 times its size (mind you this dog was only like 3 pounds at the time). And who else wouldn't believe her, shes supposedly this good ""dog breeder"". So i went to my car and thought about it. And decided to get the dog. he looked like he needed a good home. so i told renee i would purchase this dog. she told me to come inside and wait on the stairs while she got stuff ready. i waited for about 10 minutes. signed this paper and then she asked for the money. and she said it would be ""569.00 dollars"" and i said... well you told me it was 500,where is the extra money coming from?...and renee told me there was TAX!! how stupid i was to believe that a dog being sold would have tax. and i didnt even get papers!!!!! but after that i was like whatever, i have a new puppy to love! well now its been three years....i still have my dog. he is about 20-25 pounds...and still has yorkie coloring...but NO pom in him AT ALL. I can't even tell what he is,and neither can the vets. after about a week of having him he started to show his true self. He got all shy and scared of EVERYTHING...literally,i can't even hold a toothpick to him without him crying and running and cowering down. and also he has something wrong with his back legs/hips. he walks with a limp, that is so bad...half the time he doesnt really walk. I love my Little mixture of a dog, Romeo, he is the sweetest dog and will give you plenty of kisses if you let him. but its so sad looking at him, when he's always in pain. i heard about all the puppy mills in january, and started to wonder. and finally i looked up the address of wags n wiggles, just out of curiosity to get my mind away with it. and i found RENEE ROSKE'S ADDRESS!!!!! this is crazy and i see i'm DEFINITELY not the only one!!! This is a horrible thing, and is not fair to these innocent puppies. and she hasn't even gotten in trouble yet!! i wouldn't have rated this AT ALL if i had the choice. Pros: i love my dog. Cons: unhealthy dog. more

Cooper & Cadie 5/19/2009

i worked at Cooper and Cadie for almost 2 years. When I first started working there they had stopped selling puppies and said it was too much work for the employees on top of the retail and kennel. After a few months of working there, they brought in puppies. I was told along with the other employees that we only use one breeder and they would stud males out and get pick of litter and that we were the only pet store that sold any of her puppies. The puppies that were brought in to the store on the first day were of different breeds. I was curious how this lady could have so many puppies to be available to us at any given time. I fell in love with a female chihuahua who barely weighed a pound at the time. When I brought her home she had a seizure and had massive flem in her stool. I took her to the vet, but it took months for her to get better. She has had food allergies ever since. Over the next year, we had on average over 50 different breeds including different mixes of any kind. I had suspicions on the puppies but I didn't know how to reach out to them because both of my managers were very defensive about the puppies, the breeder, where we got them, their papers, etc. The cheapest dog we sold was on average 600 to 800 dollars for a mixed breed. Customers were never happy with the puppies and always seemed to have reoccuring problems. Now Cooper and Cadie is out of business. I feel horrible for all of the customers who purchased puppies from the store. I wish there was something I could do to help the dogs still in need. I hope Renee goes to jail for this. Cons: Puppy Mill more

Also burned this puppy mill 3/25/2009

This last Christman my boyfriend drove me all the way from Auburn to N. Snohomish to Renee Roske's to look at a litter of pups she had. I noticed a couple of the puppies were extrememly shy, to the point that they were cowering in the corner of the pen they were in. I wound up bringing home this adorable little 5 month old female Merle Chihuahua. Shortly after I brought her home she became ill, she was pooping lots of bloody mucous. I had her fecal tested to find out that she had Giardia. After learning about this puppy mill my heart is broken. Three months later I am struggling to rid my poor little dog of this nasty parasite. I've tried traditional vet meds and holisitic remedies and nothing is getting rid of it. I am so glad that this horrible woman got busted, and she should never EVER get her business license back. more

Do not support puppy mills 3/7/2009

Renee and her ring of puppy mill friends disgust me. As a dog trainer who has spent hours volunteering to take care of some of the 600 dogs recently rescued from Snohomish and Skagit County, I am horrified by the condition of these animals. Renee may put on a good front, but the environment these animals are raised in is unacceptable. They have been forced to live in tiny, filthy cages stacked one on top of the other, with out proper medical care or adequate food and water. If you buy from pet stores, the internet, paper ads or Craigs List, you are probably supporting these types of breeding practices!! Good breeders qualify buyers, garantee there puppies and generally have a contract. They take great care in choosing whaich dogs to breed with the goal of improving the breed. Puppy Mills like Renee's treat the dogs like manufacturing equipment with the goal of making money!! Help stop puppy mills by e-mailing your district legislators and asking them to support SB5651 & HB1936. You can find out what district your in and who your legislators are by going to http:/apps.leg.gov and press the ""find your legislator"" tab. You can click the link to e-mail them to let them know to support the bills, and check a box so it goes to all three at once. Make sure they know you live in their district. These breeding practices must stop!!!! It is filling are shelters with people who get rid of there dogs as impulsively as they bought them.. Stay away from pet stores, internet sites for finding dogs, Craigs list and paper ads. Do your research, find a quality breeder. You'll get better quality, heathier puppies and often guarantees for about the same price. In the long run, you will save money on health care and enjoy a longer life with your new loved one. Pros: none, zero, zipola Cons: Dogs are treated like manufacturing equipment more

yes she was envolved 3/5/2009

yes 3 places were raided including Renee Roske's puppy mill. This is a huge puppy mill ring that is ending! These people have been stopped more

is this the news story? 3/5/2009

bought a puppy, love him, but it all makes sense now. He has had some medical problems. The house I bought him in seemed very nice, I had answered an adbon the paper fprvone liter of puppies... When I got there I felt like I needed to rescue him... When I think about it he even seemed sedated...months ago I tried reporting this place to the humane society and anyone else I could more

Blatant disregard for life. 3/3/2009

Why do you think Renee Roske has been in business so many years? Handing out bribe/hush money? But this time its too big of a media circus for anyone to accept her handouts. A friend of mine used to look up to Renee, what a mistake that was once she found out how horribly she treated her dogs. Sold her a few dogs with major medical conditions and didnt tell her. I hope the IRS gets wind of this and does their own investigation. Please, if you havent already, if youve done business with her contact the appropriate county sheriffs office and voice yourself. Pros: nothing. Cons: death of dogs, living in filth, medical conditions, neglect. more

I was lied to 3/1/2009

I purchased my yorkie back in August of 2006. I trusted Renee because I had bought a yorkie from someone else in July of 2006 and it died within 3 days. I felt that she was really knowledgable. I was tricked. The day we went and looked at our puppy her mom was at the house and Renee was in the hospital. We immediately fell in love with our dog. We were told he was purebreed and he was $1000. without papers and more with. We just wanted him as a family dog so we purchased him without papers. She said he would be about 5 lbs. Well he is double that! He is 10 lbs! Also he was very sick about 4 months after we got him and almost died. I called Renee to ask her about what he had and she said she had never heard of it. She also was supposed to send me his shot records and birth records and never did. Everytime I talked to her she would say she would and never did. I left her several messages too. I feel like I was totally ripped off! My friend at work purchased a yorkie and got papers with it for $600. I often wonder if my yorkie is entirely purebreed. No matter what he is the best dog. Shame on Renee for running such a shady business. more

First Impression 2/27/2009

I meet Renee because I bought my first dog from Cooper and Caddie. Cooper and Caddie got their dogs from Renee, that is what they told me. Pros: Cute dogs Cons: House smelled more

Please, if you've bought a dog from this place, READ THIS! 2/19/2009

Renee Roske, a Snohomish woman being investigated for her role in an illegal puppy-mill operation, has appealed the revocation of her kennel license. The Snohomish County Auditor had issued a civil order to immediately shut down ""Wags N Wiggles"" kennel. Pros: You can be part of the solution Cons: or part of the problem more

Puppy died within days 2/19/2009

We bought a puppy on sunday at 3pm and she was in the vets by 9am monday morning. She died on Wednesday. I am still trying to get my money back. $1,000.00 for the puppy and over $1,000.00 for the vet bills and she still died. This lady needs to be stopped! She is cruel to animals and people. When you adopt something so cute and little you expect it to be healthy and live longer than a day. I wish I had known then more of what to look for. more

Very Sad 2/15/2009

I a dog in 1995 from Renee and referred family and friends to Renee's. Back then she had a few dogs and seemed to take care of her dogs..I gave Renee a sick pup that had been purchased in Fed Way...this dog was very sick and thought Renee could help it get better...Renee then gave me a dog in exhcange...The exchange came with conditions...that i would have to breed my dog with one of her dogs and that I would have to give her a pup in each litter...She also wanted me to use her male dogs..Mateo. Most of the time Renee seemed honest. Then again when I would go up to her place in Snohomish she would have her friend Jack and his son and daughter working in the garage cleaning kennels..and if the kids did not do it right, Renee would yell and scream at the kids. This kids are now young adults...let me know you, those kids were verbally and mentally (not sure if physical) abused. more

I too was taken advantage of 2/15/2009

Why is it that all the people giving this business 5 stars can not Spell? Pros: my little sweet lap warmer with all her genetic defects Cons: Renee is a con artist more

Puppy Mill Evidence 2/10/2009

If it were possible to give a zero or negative review, this business would win hands down. Cons: documented abuse and neglect more
