Review content:
i worked at Cooper and Cadie for almost 2 years. When I first started working there they had stopped selling puppies and said it was too much work for the employees on top of the retail and kennel. After a few months of working there, they brought in puppies. I was told along with the other employees that we only use one breeder and they would stud males out and get pick of litter and that we were the only pet store that sold any of her puppies. The puppies that were brought in to the store on the first day were of different breeds. I was curious how this lady could have so many puppies to be available to us at any given time. I fell in love with a female chihuahua who barely weighed a pound at the time. When I brought her home she had a seizure and had massive flem in her stool. I took her to the vet, but it took months for her to get better. She has had food allergies ever since. Over the next year, we had on average over 50 different breeds including different mixes of any kind. I had suspicions on the puppies but I didn't know how to reach out to them because both of my managers were very defensive about the puppies, the breeder, where we got them, their papers, etc. The cheapest dog we sold was on average 600 to 800 dollars for a mixed breed. Customers were never happy with the puppies and always seemed to have reoccuring problems. Now Cooper and Cadie is out of business. I feel horrible for all of the customers who purchased puppies from the store. I wish there was something I could do to help the dogs still in need. I hope Renee goes to jail for this. Cons: Puppy Mill
