Best

I totally agree that Puppy mills are cruel and definitely need to be stopped. In addition, I believe you need to definitely hear both sides of the story. I believe there is SO MUC...

Worst

You fools that seem to think it's okay for anyone to have 600 dogs, do you have 600 kids? Cons: Bad people

Never again 2/20/2008

Last year I bought a puppy from Renee. After driving over an hour to Wags & Wiggles, no one answered the door for 45 minutes, but I was entertained by the 10 or so puppies in the dog run in front of her house. After looking for some time, I decided on a Pom/Maltese mix puppy. He was inside when I saw him, when I asked her why, she told me she brings the pups in to socialize and give them individual attention. WHAT A LIE! Seven weeks later we found out that he was indoors and seperated from the other puppies because he was very ill, had kennel cough, ear mites and runny stool! To this day, he doesn't bark - he cries an erie, baby like cry instead. I bought him as a mother's day gift, my mom cried when she had to give him back to me! My sweet mom kept the puppies problems a secret from me until August. So a month after I bought him, I decided to get a puppy for myself- without knowledge of the first puppies extensive problems I headed back out to Wags & Wiggles. When I got there it was like a circus, so many people were out 'to buy a puppy' (a great tactic to create a sense of urgency) I don't believe they were all customers. I found an incredibly cute and very expensive little guy and bought him before anyone else could. Since that day, he has cost us over $1500 in vet fees. Every problem under the sun associated with puppy mill breeding! So FYI: she sedates the dogs that have temperment issues and gives Karo Syrup to the lethargic ones, she gives completely inaccurate information on birthdays and sometimes breed mixes (my mom's old dog isn't really a pom/maltese mix - more like a LAB mix and still growing!) She provides a 48 hour return policy, but won't show dogs until Saturday morning so you miss your window. Bad deal all the way around. Pros: Pretty drive out to her house Cons: Puppy Mill, Sick Animals, Expensive Animals, Inaccurate/falsified information more

This place needs to be reported to the humane society 2/11/2008

I love dogs. I've always had a dog ever since I was a child, and this kennel brings tears to my eyes. We ended up buying our currently wonderful dog out of pity. He was supposedly older than a puppy's ideal selling age, so Renee gave us a ""bargain."" As soon as she brought him into the room, it was obvious he was very sick. He had dysentery immediately and then proceeded to just lay there, being completely unaffected by anything else going on, even with 4 or so puppies running about and my husband and I squeaking toys to grab his attention. She blamed it on him just having a bath (which he actually loves). We were certain if we didn't buy him, that he'd probably be euthanized. All of the paperwork was incredibly blotchy. And even though this place is known for such ""reputable"" breeding, she couldn't show us our puppy's parents nor give any proof that he was full-bred. Upon our leaving, we were given a bunch of pills, that she gives to all dogs, which we later learned should only be directly prescribed. After getting him home, he was sick for a few days before we were able to get him into the vet. There, the doctor had a lot to reveal to us: 1. Our puppy was only around 4 months old, not 6-7 like Renee had told us. He still had all of his baby teeth, which meant he couldn't possibly be 6 months old. 2. If he's only 4 months old, then all of the vaccinations he ""supposedly"" had were administered too close together, and would need to be re-administered. 3. He had ear-mites. And 4. He had giardia, which is a parasite of the intestine (contagious to humans) that may or may not ever go away. We have spent upwards of $1,300 in medical bills from the mistreatment and neglect of this poor puppy, and although I have to say I love my dog and wouldn't trade him for the world, that DOES NOT mean Wags and Wiggles is a humane place to buy a pet. Our paperwork was obviously made up: phony birthday, phony vaccination dates-- and overall just an ill dog. Cons: False vaccination dates, false birthdays, sick dogs: mistreatment and neglect more

Sweetest Pup I've Ever Had 1/2/2008

I bought a 10 week old puppy from Renee (whom i've never met) but I met her daughter when I took my niece to buy a puppy on a whim, she was polite and kind to us, the house was immaculate or as much as you possibly can when you have animals in your home! I highly recommend Renee, I love my Baby Bucky who is a terrier/chihuahua mix! Thank you for being there on that special Birthday and thank you for having the perfect puppy! Pros: darling puppies Cons: NONE that I could see more

FANTASTIC DOGS! 10/17/2007

These bad reviews are ridiculous! We have bought 4 Yorkshires from Renee, and all were perfectly healthy, with great dispositions. I am a very active member of PETA and the Humane Society, and I praise Renee! Her house is spotless, she is an honest breeder and seller. She is a fantastic person, and if it were not for her, I would have lost my Yorkie puppy. She was VERY sick (not eating, purging, ETC), and Renee took her in and nursed her back to health for the next two months. It turns out, she had a case of hypoglycemia. (NOT a birth defect- its because she is so tiny!) Renee is extremely knowledgeable, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone interested in buying a sweet, beautiful dog. These people with bad reviews have no idea what they are talking about. I have been to her home numerous times. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT a puppy mill, nor is it dirty or inhumane. Those accusations are absolutely ridiculous. Renee's dogs are truly her passion. Thank you for 4 beautiful and healthy dogs!

Pros: Beautiful spacious home, very clean, good prices, very honest Cons: Absolutely none! Wags N Wiggles is great!! more

Puppy Mill 9/14/2007

This so call breeder is a puppy mill. Do not support this kind of business. She is over priced and does not keep good records of which dog breeds with who. Pros: No Pros Cons: Not an honest breeder. more

Shocked 9/10/2007

I have purchased pups in the past from Renee and have recommended her to family. The pups I bought seemed to be healthy and we did receive our papers. However, my sister bought a mixed breed from her and the pup had some small health issues but is doing ok now. I was thinking of purchasing another pup from her for myself, but now after reading the reviews I'm not sure if I can trust her. I was not aware of the poor quality the pups were kept in because when I bought a pup from her for the first time about five years ago, they were kept in her garage which was clean and was set up especially for the purpose of her business. I have noticed over the years when I returned with my sister that she brought us inside her house to meet the pups and I always wondered why but never questioned her. It's really disappointing for me to read about her dishonesty and lack of care for her pups as I always thought highly of her. I am curious about the quality and standard of her business as to date, so if anyone has any updated information about Wags 'N Wiggles or Renee Roske I would greatly appreciate any advice before contacting her for the possiblity of purchasing a pup. Thanks! more

If A Dog Could Talk 8/25/2007

Thank you for selling us two of your very healthy, great temperament doggies for our home and heart. Thank you for being there for the many questions we asked and the help we needed when we sought it out. Thank you for not giving up, giving in, when people who wanted a doggie forgot how hard quality animals can be to buy and started biting with their criticism more then any doggies ever could. We would have been so lonesome without our babies we purchased from you. Our children thought you were great and so do we and so did our doggies. We thought they might want to speak up for you and all the many years of joy we have all treasured. We would recommend you in a heartbeat! Your home was warm and very clean and we commend you on your long years of breeding. Say hello to Patriot for us. Not many people open up their homes and lives to sell others doggies. Not many people understand the very long hours that it takes. We did and still do admirer how much knowledge you have in breeding. You should write a book! Trying to please the dog buying public to each of their satisfactions would be impossible. I suppose by reading some of their rants and raves they don't realize that to others reading their responses that they themselves lack the responsibilitys to raise a doggie and or think they will never have to visit their vet for extended care. I for one am glad that the whole doggie purchasing market hasn't gone just to air-mail-web-site's. People ought to be giving that idea some more thought. We applaud you that you are still willing to work with, and sell too, and open your home to the general public. Best wishes and warm regards for your future. We think your great! We can only hope and pray more good people bring home one of your wonderful pets and give it a great home and learn to be more thankful. We have been blessed with our forever pets that you sold us. They keep us smiling every day. Wouldn't trade a moment of their love. We and our doggies rate you five star! Pros: Thumbs up! Cons: None. more

Patching Things up. 8/24/2007

To respond to Duchess72.. I have talked things over with Renee this morning and all has been worked out with my swap with ""frankie Jr."" and my crested girl ""Diva""..I did apologize for the misguided information and slandering that was given to me earlier this year about Renee. As far as Renee is concerned Frankie Jr, the dog I traded was ""prespoiled and well cared for"" from my well respected name of Gemstonekennel. He was presented in good health to Renee at the time of our visit. As for my breeder friend that brought her yorkies to Renee. I can not speak for her and the deal that was made.In no way was the puppy related to my breeding or bred and raised in my home. Just to mention, in the past 16yrs of showing and breeding yorkies free of genetic defects, especially liver shunt..I have not produced any. I retired from yorkies, but my line is now carried on with a good friend in California. Pros: Renee was more than willing to work things out calmly and professionally. more

Buyer Beware... No Papers 8/22/2007

Well after reading and meeting a few people that know Renee and of her operation, it truly saddens me.. I too met a puppy that I had to have, a ""chinese crested"" little girl. I was quoted a price over the phone for a crested and by the time I got out to her home it was sold.. So her price jumped up to $2500, she knew I had very good yorkies and in exchange I traded a yorkie male puppy with a show background who was absolutely gorgeous, I wanted to see the living environment.. where he would stay..Renee promised that he would be one of her house dogs and he was to my few visits.. I can't say that Renee is a bad breeder, her home was spotless and the puppy pen was clean..she is extremely knowledgable. I will agree that she is not most honest person breeding dogs, I was promised AKC papers and never received them. I have called a few times and still am not able to talk with her, too many excuses! I have not had any health problems, since learning that my dog is likely mixed with chihuahua. she does not look all Crested which I now breed.. but I love her anyway and take this experience as a part of learning. Renee also has many dogs that are co-owned by other people, and off her property. You never see the adults, which a former close friend confirmed that she has another place where they are housed in another building in cages..If she is closed down and the dogs are taken, I would like to get my yorkie male back, even neutered.. his name is ""Frankie Junior"" or at least know someone has him and he is safe.. I regret trading with her and can only hope that he is still one of house dogs and treated well..I think people are taken by her home which absolutely gorgeous and the pretty acres..Impluse buying is also the main reason why people buy from her.. she is set up to take credit cards.. to sum it up she is a PET STORE. Lastly, I do not believe breeders should sell mixes as purebreds!! Pros: Cute puppies are misleading.. nice home, pretty grounds and Renee is a smooth talker Cons: Bad ethics.. selling dogs with ""papers"", but not sending them..how many dogs does she really have housed at her ""other building""?? more

HORRIBLE BREEDER!!! SICK PUPPIES!!! 3/13/2007

My experience with Renee was HORRIBLE!!! The puppies she showed me had diahrea right in front of me and she said they were nervous. The puppy I got was very sick and as a result had many medical bills. The vet said this was due to malnutrition and improper vaccinations. I would NEVER go back there. Cons: Too many to list. more

I love my MinPin 2/6/2007

But I hate his breeder. I got my little guy a few years ago. I went to pick him up and had to wait about an hour for her to show up. When I got there I noticed that there was a dog door in the wall leading from the garage. Outside the door was a little doggie pen that really needed to be cleaned out. Whens he finally let showed up she would not let me see where the dogs were kept. When I called she told me that parents were onsite, but when I asked to see them she said that they were in Cali. When I saw the dog I was buying he had a bald spot on his head and I asked about it and she said that the neighbors cat had ring worm and had given it to the dog and the spot would go away. Well he is three now and the spot has not gone away. I also paid so ""show quality"" I did not get show quality. I bought him to breed him, but has to get him fixed because he has all kinds of problems that the vet said came from inbreeding and over breeding. I also never got his papers after I called her many times. I do not recommend this breeder to anyone! more

Great experience 12/12/2006

It is my understanding that the 155 dogs were seized from a place in Gold Bar that is somehow connected with Wags and Wiggles. People need to get the facts straight before slandering Renee. I really like her place because I was able to get a puppy that wasn't a 'pure breed'. The mixed small breeds are such great dogs. I have purchased two different dogs from Renee, at Wags and Wiggles, over the years and am very happy with them. I have been to Renee's place of business many times and it has been clean, neat and tidy. She is very helpful, always giving the pups their vaccines for free, giving free food, free bath and cute sweater every time you buy a pup. Both of my puppies are miniature schnauzer mixes that are just great. I would highly recommend Wags and Wiggles to anyone wanting a small mixed bread dog. My dogs are happy and healthy. Pros: Friendly, flexible, find mixed small breads that are really great pets. Cons: ""Breader"" is not the right description for this business, rather she is a ""middle man"" for breaders. more

Too many sick and starving puppies 11/28/2006

I went there looking for an animal that i could breed with my little girl pup. What i found was one of the worst kept animals i have ever seen. the animal had SERIOUS dental problems to include missing most of his front teeth. the pen was way too small for the amount of animals there. We saw a little pup in the pen that was so thin you could see his ribs through the fur. We felt so sorry for him we purchased him. He was so malnourished that his vision was fuzzy and he ran into things. we nursed him back to health and he has ended up being a very welcome addition to our family. She was vey friendly but i think she needs to slow down on the amount of breeding she does. Pros: Large variety, clean house, nice location Cons: Too many animals in a small area. Sick hungry puppies more

Buyers EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST 10/21/2006

Well folks here is my review. Home is on an expansive lot in the country, but that is as good as it gets. Puppies are kept outside the front of the house in a lean-to covered kennel cage 3'x12'. We saw many different breeds of puppies in the cage. The cage was lined with wood chips appeared to be recently changed. i noticed various little travel cages strewn about. No offering to view parents or where other pups were kept, some puppies are even off site and are brought to this location. I didn't get the feeling that the puppies were looked at by a vet nor that consideration was given to genetic history. I would suggest that prospective buyers have a checklist (type in pupply checklist on your browser). It appeared to me that there are better choices and facilities for the educated and carry puppy parents. Don't let your wallet interfere with your good judgement. I would give the following score: more

PLEASE -- everyone who goes to this place and experiences sick pets, poor cleanliness, etc... report this breeder!!!!! more

stay away from 7/5/2006

i called wanting a puppy and was very picky about what i wanted, it just so happened that they had 6 that fit my exact description of what i wanted. i went to look at them, and they were all scared and smelled like urine. the dogs were not kept at her house, from what i have learned they must have been at her mothers house who lives near by and not kept very comfortable there. she was asking a crazy price for the dog and wasnt willing to lower her price, only cut out the taxes with wasnt very much. i was not impressed and could tell it was not a place id like to support. since than i have gotten a job at a vet clinic, and we hear about her on a regular basis, and very few people have positive to say about her. Pros: has a lot of dogs to choose from Cons: too much much money and poor quality more
