Review content:
In 2004 I contacted Wags & Wiggles Teacups asking for a Yorkie/Maltese mix puppy. My parents had purchased one from her a couple of weeks earlier. I wanted one from the same litter. She said that she still had one left. She brought out a little black puppy. She, as well as her littermate, were not old enough to take home. My parents picked up their puppy a couple of weeks later and I picked mine up a month or so later. My parents paid $800 for their male dog and I paid $900 for my female. We love our dogs, but people always ask me if mine is a poodle and ask my mom if hers is a Shih Tzu. We always tell them no, that they are Yorky/Maltese.
I have always questioned if my dog was really a Yorky/Maltese. The prices are finally low enough for dog DNA tests that I could afford to have one done on my dog. I wanted to make sure that she was a Yorkie/Maltese so that when the time comes I will get the same breed. Turns out she is 3/4 POODLE and 1/4 SHIH TZU!! I don't love her any less, she is the best dog ever, but I paid $900 for a Yorkie/Maltese.
Wag & Wiggle is a puppy mill; I know that now from the comments below. My experience of picking up my puppy in that she was running in this weird little run alongside of the house and she was filthy, stinking, and had so much poop stuck to her butt that I don't know how she was able to do her business.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER!! They will tell you anything you want to hear to get an exorbitant price for a puppy.
