I only had vw of duluth for an option to have my car worked on because of the make. I had scheduled an appointment to have it looked at, I didn't make it on time as I had to have it towed in. When I got there I was about 15 min late for my appointment, once they pulled it in to the first bay there were about 6 employees walking around my car in circles for a solid ten minutes, waited another 10 for someone to come and test drive it. Once they came back from the test drive they brought it in to the second bay to lift it, it took almost two hours before anyone came to talk to me, once confirmed what I had feared (driveshaft) they had given me a quote and told me they would have the part friday as it was after 12pm on wed. I had told them I would need to rent a car since they do not offer any loaner cars. He told me somone would take me to the airport shortly, after watching them stand in the first bay talking and going outside for 20-30 min one of the employees finally came to get me and bring me to the airport. Friday morning came, at 11am I had not heard anything (part was to be there between 10-11am) I called vw, they said the truck had not been there yet and they would call me once it arrives. I called again at 130 as I was trying to schedule my lunch to come get the car if it was ready. They then told me the truck had still not come and they would call him, 30min later they call and say the truck is not coming as the driver didn't have anything scheduled for that service center (service center put full blame on parts center). Now having a rental for 3 days when they promised my car back in 2. He told me the truck would be there at 10 am and he would call me as soon as it came in. 11am I call as they work a shorter day and I am really getting nervous. (why didn't I just ship my car to a larger market where they might have better service). 1230 I finally hear back that the car is beign test drove, 1 call saying it is good to go. When I get there to pick it up, I ask what had happened with the communication they told me the parts company dropped the ball and they had done everything they were supposed to do, I had asked if for my trouble they could scan or reset my check engine light, they said yes but it would be another $160.00. In the extra cost of rental cars and running around and worry, the next time I would gladly pay to have my car towed to a larger market to have the work done, I feel when you are spending thousands of dollars the service center should have more professionalism and comunication. On the other hand yes the car now drives great
