Easy to work with, good staff. Made the purchase of my first vehicle quite easy. Was able to get in touch with my sales staff by phone or email, with prompt responses. The one thing I would say, though I know this is part of the businesses marketing, etc, is that when I went to do the financial paperwork, there was a HUGE push to buy one of the various packages. The constant pushing and "what if I do this for you, or how about that" was almost too much to bare. Despite that, staff were congenial, and helpful. Quite hassle-free more

Simple oil change took almost 3 hours. Regardless of the snow storm a day or so before, it really was inexcusable. Communication was as bad as the time was long. Nice guys back there, but really one of the worst simple service days I've ever experienced, and I'm 60! And they lost track of simple requests and said they were out of a very common product every dealer should have - said someone threw out their limited supply by mistake - not the excuse one would expect from a professional dealership. I stayed patient and friendly the entire time, but I left pretty unhappy. Could have made it a better experience by letting me know of the delays - or even calling me in advance (my Appt was at 2 PM and we came from 80 miles away - I even called them an hour or so ahead to confirm things were on track!) that it was going to be a slow day. But basically nothing, zilch nada! - and I'm pretty easy going. Glad my wife wasn't there w/ me, she would have gone bonkers! Tis a shame really, in that it could be a nice facility if managed properly. Will probably not come back - and I love my VW and want it serviced right. While I'm on a roll, the price was higher than it should have been - fancier city dealerships charge less and generally are pretty damn professional 99% of the time. Not the case here on this day - all very preventable with just a little more communication - and paying attention to details. They need to do better & soon! More people in the waiting room were unhappy w/ the long wait times as well -- just needed the service manager or whomever to keep us all informed. Sorry, the big storm can not be the excuse here - lack of communication & professionalism the big problem. And I NEVER fill out surveys like this!! more

Fine service. Very nice employees. It did take a little longer than I expected. About 1.5 hours for the oil change. more

The guy who helped me there was very nice and helpful. I brought my car in around noon and by 4:30 that day, it was ready to be picked up. They were very polite and called me with an update while working on my car, which was nice to know. The only bad thing was that after my car was finished, I went to pick it up and the battery was dead. This was probably because they worked on my car without actually turning it on and when they set it out, it was freezing outside (which doesn't help). They jumped it and within a few minutes it was fine so that was not a big deal. Overall, my experience was very good and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs their car looked at. more

I bought a 05 truck from there. The next day it wasn't pulling any oil pressure so I called them and asked to have them check it out. Apparently they don't do diagnostic vehicle check before selling you the car, so I had to pay 130 the next day. Not impressed by that. This is not my first time being dissappointed at this place. If you need anything for parts or labor try talk to Nigel he is there best asset I have seen there more

My initial contact at VW of Duluth was with Axel. He is very professional as well as personable. After explaining what my vehicle was doing, he personally checked the oil in my vehicle and put the needed oil in my vehicle. We made an appointment for my vehicle for the next day. If just adding oil was going to take care of the issue I could cancel the appointment. I called Axel and asked to keep the appointment. He had explained the anticipated expense of the diagnostic test, not wanting me to be surprised with the expense. Regardless, I kept the appointment. I arrived at the appointment and had my golden retriever with me. Axel said that I could keep Myles with me in the waiting area. Axel kept me informed of the progress of the diagnostic test as well as what was being done to my vehicle. Axel and I drive the same type vehicle. He brought his into the vehicle bay and showed me some things on his vehicle. He also allowed me to visit with the service tech, Matt, who was working on my vehicle. Matt explained what he was doing to my vehicle and the reason for the service. Both Matt and Axel are very personable and trustworthy. Upon completion of the work Axel explained again, what was done and what to look for later on if there were other issues. I was also pleasantly surprised by a follow up phone call I received from Axel the following week. Not only would I patronize VW of Duluth again, but I would certainly recommend Axel as a contact person. I have absolutely no negative comments from my experience with VW of Duluth. more
