not the best start to the day 1/31/2012

my facial that i was very excited about, could be called half facial, half serious lotion lube down. my chest and arms seemed to receive a lot of attention, which was rather frustrating since i was there for a facial. i have had facials before, but this one almost caused a panic attack due to all the rubbing, vast amounts of lotion and heat that kept rising.... i wanted to like it so so much, but 3rd time was not a charm. more

Always a great experience, but also always a bit more cut than wanted. 1/30/2012

OK, have to admit, I'm addicted to RJ Salon/Spa, the service is great, the spa cafe is wonderful and the feel, smell, and atmosphere rocks. I will always go back. One thing I keep in mind is that no matter what Richard says before I sit down in the chair, my hair will be shorter than what we talk about - at times much shorter. Don't get me wrong, it is always a perfect cut, but not the perfect cut I had in mind when I came in. I often find myself thinking "What did I miss?", "What could I have said differently?" Have brought pics in the past, but the finished product is always 2-3 inches shorter than the pic. Anyway, I love the people, and eventually I love the cut... just be prepared to adjust a bit when you leave. As long as you know this going in, you'll love it there too. more

The Richard Joseph Salon, is the one place that always delivers. I have used the salon for several years and it is the one place you can walk in feeling stressed and leave feeling red carpet ready...What an incredible team and what a wonderful experience!! more

Wonderful Facial and more 1/23/2012

I booked a facial and got much more. In addition to a wonderful facial, the service included a foot and leg massage with essential oil and warm towels, and a neck, shoulder and arm massage. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience. I came early and had a mimosa and a delicious muffin! Great way to spend a Saturday. more

The first time that I used this salon was with a Groupon. I was really excited because I had heard some great things and they absolutly exceeded my expectations. I now continue to return and am more than willing to pay full price because everytime you are treated like royalty! more

Richard Joseph Salon Spa 1/22/2012

I love Richard Joseph Salon Spa! I have been a client for many years. The staff knows me by name and are very friendly. I have had my hair cut by several of the stylists through the years. I am always confident I will leave the salon looking great and loving my haircut! I really enjoy the long shampoo, head and neck massage before my haircut. The cafe in the salon is excellent and they have the Aveda products that I love. The spa is also first class. I highly recommend Richard Joseph Salon Spa! more

Thai Massage with Jamorris Rivers 1/21/2012

The massage I received yesterday was top-notch! I highly recommend a massage, especially a Thai massage, from Jay Rivers. I felt so much more flexible after the massage...very therapeutic. My back, shoulders, hips and hands had been giving me problems and this massage really improved how those areas now feel. more

A retreat 1/20/2012

I love to go to Richard Joseph Spa for some pampering. The atmosphere in the spa is very quiet and soothing. The facilities and linens are always clean and pleasing. Susan Payton does a great job with my pedicures. I had a second massage with Jamorris and felt so relaxed afterward. I usually try to take advantage of their complimentary lunch or breakfast. more
