Best Facial Ever 9/1/2011

Jennifer did such a great job yesterday with my facial. The foot massage was nice surprise. I felt totally rejuvenated when I left. The only thing that was lacking was the appetizers. I don't expect much but chips and salsa at a spa is an oxymoron. Hopefully next time the food will be more spa like. more

Love my visit 9/1/2011

Wonderful treat! Prior to my hair appointment I always enjoy some extra doting In the cafe with wonderful treats prepared fresh by the chef. Then the neck massage and aerobatic hair treatment completes my destressing before getting started with what I really came for - a great haircut and style. I always look forward to a great experience at Richard Joseph Salon Spa and come away refreshed and looking good! more

Perfect Afternoon 8/30/2011

I visited this spa for a Saturday afternoon massage, facial, and pedicure. It was the best spa experience I have ever had. I left telling them they should put a disclaimer that if you have services done there you might need a designated driver. Yes, I was that relaxed. Perfect - is the word to describe my afternoon. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I had nothing but stellar service. Definitely worth every penny! more

Manicure and Pedicure 8/26/2011

Everyone was very friendly and professional. However, the manicure I received did not look like it was professionally done. The nail polish you are using is awful. It looked streaky and very unprofessional. The pedicure was much better and very relaxing. Susan was awesome. But, I would only come back if I knew you would be using OPI again. more

Always a premium experience. Every possible need is catered to. I have been to salons across America, and Richard Joseph trumps them all. Suptuous interior, fabulous spa, wonderful lunch/beverage service, superb colorist, and richard gives the best cut/blow dry in the business. Plus, everyone is polite and experienced. Truly excellent on every level. more

I forgot to add a couple of things in my previous review... Even though I had purchased a discount spa package from livingsocial.com, the staff at RJSS in Mountain Brook never once made me feel inferior to their full-paying customers. They were attentive and caring for my sister, my mother, and myself. Jennifer did an amazing job on our facials, but more importantly, she was friendly and eager to help! Brent and Jay/James(?) gave wonderful massages, leaving us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. more

RJSS first-timer 8/20/2011

This was my first experience at Richard Joseph SalonSpa, and it was my best overall spa experience! The service was excellent; the facial and massage were "to die for" and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back in the near future! (This was girl's spa day gift for my mother on Mother's Day, and it was a hit! We will definitely keep this place in mind for holiday and birthday gift-giving.) more

A wonderful morning at the Spa - Jay's services were #1 Therapists ever 8/19/2011

What a delightful day I spent yesterday at the Spa feeling like a "star". I always enjoy my visits to RJS but yesterday was a whole new exceptional experience, I had a new therapists JAY who was fantastic, attentive and a great listener. I had been fighting sinus infections for 3 weeks and shared this and he made sure I was tilted and due to breast surgery from cancer he also did drain services for the lymph node issues - thank God for Jay's knowledge and willingness to share his expertise to assist his clients in maintaining health and balance. I left feeling like a new person. I will be making more frequent trips to see "Jay" and Chef. As usual, Chef's lite lunch and dessert was exceptional and tasty. This is by far the "best spa in our community" and I have tried most at least once. Dr. KLP more
