That was the most luscious and amazing treatment for hair that I've ever experienced. I felt spoiled and enjoyed it enormously. The food served while my hair was coloring was amazing. more

Wonderful Experience! 9/28/2011

My friend told me it was a great place, and that they pamper you while you are there. It was all true! Great staff! Great Food! Wonderful Service and Experience! I HIGHLY recommend Richard Joseph Salon & Spa. Worth every penny! I had my hair cut, colored and styled by Shelby. He even waxed my brows. He was wonderful. I walked in with a ponytail and bad hair, and walked out looking and feeling like a new woman. So pleased! I am hitting the spa services next visit! You will not be sorry if you go. I recommend a weekday appointment because the pace is slower and more relaxing that Friday & Saturday, but a girl has to get in the time when she can. I hope this helps you decide. I am really glad I did, and am going to be a regular from now on. more

I threw out what I thought was my lower back but Brent determined it was actually my hips. He was extremely knowledged, helpful with suggestions and relieved my pain! Excellent massage. Thank you. more

As with every experience I've had at Richard Joseph, this one was fabulous! From the moment I walk in the door I am treated like royalty: offered something to eat and to drink, a lovely hand massage while I get my shampoo, and an attendance to detail like no other salon I've ever visited. more

A Perfect Day of Relaxation 9/19/2011

My mom and I were pampered from the minute we walked into the spa. First I had an amazing hour-long massage, then an hour-long facial. I finished with a wonderful pedicure that was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Everyone there was super friendly, professional and helpful. I will be back and highly recommend the spa. Don't forget yummy complimentary snacks and beverages! more

Elemental 60 minute facial 9/14/2011

Elemental Facial was excellent; service was exceptional well. I love the idea that lunch is offered; however, maybe offering 2 options for your guest. Nothing big, possibly, soup and salad as one option and a pita wrap/sandwich and salad for the 2nd choice. And don't forget desert. more

I love Shelby 9/13/2011

I've gone to Shelby for about 4 months now and I'm happier with my hair than I've been in years. The color looks great, and the cut is exactly what I wanted. Plus, my hair is softer and shinier than it's been in ages. If all that's enough, there's Sam the shampoo guy, whose soothing neck massage nearly puts me to sleep every time. Yes, the salon is expensive, but even my husband says the higher price is worth it. I'm hooked. more

Massage/facial/shampoo 9/12/2011

Ultimate body repair with the massage. Beth is incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive on how to "fix" aches and pains. The facial and shampoo were heavenly. I only visit Richard Joseph Salon when I'm in Birmingham....what I would give to have them in my home town!!! more

My session with Emily was a pleasure. She is so interested in trying to satisfy the customer. Her willingness to go over to the store side of the shop and help me find products was much appreciated. more
