Best

Signing up for the Bootcamp was a gig deal for me, a big investment. After I did it, I got nervous, wondering if I did the right thing. But after the first day of class I knew I m...

Worst

I agree....the owner is an absolute idiot!!!! He doesn't give the students the time of day. And is always in a bad mood.....he needs to remember it is the students who are paying ...

Don't hesitate! 10/21/2017

I feel like I'm ready now. When I came to town, I thought I was ready, but quickly realized I was out of my league. Then I went to The Acting Corps and now I am ready. What I didn't know... staggering. Don't waste time like I did, sign up now! more

Boot Camp 10/15/2017

The Boot Camp program name was what caught my eye as I was in the military, but when I looked into them, I liked what I found and I signed up. I like the intensity, though just so you know, THIS boot camp is a lot more fun then the real thing. I have completed the Boot Camp 1, and plan to sign up for the next one, but I might wait until after the holidays. more

Truth in Acting 10/8/2017

I like the Acting Corps because they tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. I'm sure they loses some people who don't go to the next level because I know there are people in this town that just want to be told they are great. That is not how they do it at The Acting Corps. I can't get better If I don't know what I should be working on! more

Work every class 10/2/2017

I believe in doing, not watching, or reading about, and at the Acting Corps, I worked every class. I did learn some from watching my class mates, and listening to them get notes, but there is nothing like doing. I took a class elsewhere where all I did most class sessions was watch, I said never again. That was actually why I picked the Acting Corps, I heard from a friend that I would work every class. more

the missing piece 9/25/2017

There was a time when I felt stuck. I knew the basics, I could take apart a scene and make choices, but what was next? I was auditioning as much as possible and taking workshops, but I was something in my craft. And I hated it. I was not being challenged. Then I found the Acting Corps and I definitely found that challenge there. So much more to do in a scene then just objectives. I love Meisner, and Michael Chekhov. And they don't miss a beat, they know their shit. When you struggle, it's a reminder of what it truly means to be an artist, to really listen and be in the moment, and to ground yourself truthfully. more

Kich Ass Place 9/17/2017

This school kicks ass! I have learned that acting is so much more then just remembering the lines and putting a little emotion into it. Being in the moment is bad ass! I try to do it in life as well as in acting. Just do it! more

second try 9/11/2017

I just wrote an awesome review on other and the site didn't save it it! I don't want to write everything again, so I'll just say I really like the school and love learning about Meisner and Chekhov. Let's see if this posts. more

great! 9/4/2017

I'm really liking the classes at the acting corps. there is so much more to it then learning the lines and saying them with feeling. well, that is what it's all about, but to get there there is so much more to it, and that is what I am learning. great! more

The Long Haul 8/27/2017

Just starting the journey, in it for the long haul. Loving the Acing Corps. Not putting myself out there to workshops and stuff until I am ready, and this school is a great place to start getting ready. I am a thinker, which can be bad as a performer (as Meisner is showing me), but it ,means I looked at all my school options and the Acting Corps was my pick. It's what I need. I know I'm not ;going to walk out these door and become a star, but this is the foundation I need. I have actor friends, so I know things even though I am new. more

A good place to lern acting. 8/20/2017

This is a good place to learn acting. more

The other side 8/13/2017

I am an aspiring director, but I wanted to learn acting, and Meisner in particular, so as to communicate with my actors better. I love the program at the Acting Corps. As I am a director first, I don't want to spend months on this. I will admit that I do like doing M.Night-style cameos in my own files, so the acting is good for that too. I don't think I will do more after Boot Camp I, but not because it isn't great, it is! I will send actors there I suspect. more

Learn the craft 8/6/2017

Here is LA to learn the craft. Very happy at The Acting Corps. Love the intensity and community. Here for the summer, but might come back when I save up more cash s I love the city and it's the place to be. And when/if I do, I will come back to the Acting Corps. more

Solid program 7/31/2017

They have a solid program taught by skilled teachers. I would send any actor looking to get a kick in the pants to them. Snapped me out of my funk. But good for anyone wanting to learn, not just those in a slump. more

Take it serious 7/15/2017

LA Native who finally decided to take it seriously, and The Acting Corps is the place to do it. Great classes everyday. Glad I finally took the leap and went for it. more

Knowledgeable teachers and a good program. 7/8/2017

Knowledgeable teachers and a good program. That is all I have to say. more

Good Training 7/2/2017

When I sign up for a class, I expect to learn, and I did. I learned a lot. I like the balance of scene work and technique. more

Late to the game but making up for lost time 6/25/2017

Late to the game but making up for lost time. Had a career in my former life, but now I am doing what I always wanted. Picked the Acting Corps because I am no spring chicken and their program is every day of the week (5 days). I am there now, but have gone far enough to know I made a good decision. I pride myself in my rational decision making and I looked at all options before choosing them, which is good, but I am finding this approach to things can put me in my head often when I am acting, but Meisner is really helping me out with this. As of now, I am on my way to being the most improved in the group. I'll take i! more

Do it now! 6/19/2017

Trump is president, the worlds is going to end, go after your dreams now before it's too late. Acting Corps is five days a week, no time to waste. Carpe Diem (that means seize the day for all those that don't know Latin). But in all seriousness, it's a wonderful school, and you should go after your dreams. . more

Liked it 6/13/2017

Did the Boot Camp, likes it a lot. Learned a lot. Like the vibe. East Coaster transplant here, getting to know the city. Different world out here, but serious acting is the same everywhere. And good teachers are universal. And there are good teachers at The Acting Corps. more

German from Texas now living in Los Angeles. Loved The Acting Corps and recommend it to anyone who is looking to stud acting. Love the teachers and the facilities. And learning. Really love everything about them. more
