Best

Signing up for the Bootcamp was a gig deal for me, a big investment. After I did it, I got nervous, wondering if I did the right thing. But after the first day of class I knew I m...

Worst

I agree....the owner is an absolute idiot!!!! He doesn't give the students the time of day. And is always in a bad mood.....he needs to remember it is the students who are paying ...

I came to The Acting Corps thinking I knew what I was doing. I attended a well know University that has a good acting program. While I have a degree in Theater Arts, I did not know the first thing about acting. Well, I knew the first thing, but what I did not know could fill several books. And I have now read many of those books. \r \r I came to The Acting Corps for one reason, it was five days a week. I was lazy in my research and that is the only reason I picked them. As it turned out, it was my lucky day. I went through every program they have there, and I love them. I love Michael Chekhov, I love Meisner. I cannot recommend them enough. Changed my acting, and changed my life. more

The Acting Corps rocks hard corps. Meisner is da $hit! The boot camp program is da bomb! more

Meisner is really interesting. It's not going to be the only technique I use, and it shouldn't be. I like that The Acting Corps did not ONLY teach this method, but dabbled in other tools too, and there was scene study and cold reading so I could apply all the tools I learned.\r \r One thing I discovered: most guys, if they are in the moment, listening to their impulses, will want to kiss an attractive girl... but that doesn't mean I have to let them, unless I have to impulse to kiss them back. ;) Either way, makes for interesting interaction. Great school. more

The teachers at the Acting Corps are splendid chaps, all of them. They care. They teach. You learn. more

Nice place to learn and make friends who are as dedicated to the craft as you all. It takes a dedicated person to go to class five days a week, plus outside class rehearsals. I really felt like I found my place in Los Angeles when I found The Acting Corps. more

The Acting Corps has wonderful teachers. They have been to the mountain top, learned the secrets of performance, and are there to teach it to you. The ten commandments of acting so to speak. My words, not theirs. ""Let my people learn!"" more

My friend Carmine said this would be a great place for me to study, and he was right. I had a great time at The Acting Corps. Thank you Carmine, and that you Acting Corps staff. Rock on! more

I've been hustling for acting work in Hollywood a long time now, almost 8 years, and The Acting Corps is the first school I've come across where not only do I respect the opinions of the teachers, but all the students/actors is encouraged to perform without fear of making mistakes. Leave your ego at the door. Just simple positive teaching. I am still a student there as I write this, I think this is a place I will stick with for awhile. more

Great place to study and grow into a better actor. Great teachers. more

The Acting Corps is the BEST! They have the most supportive environment an actor could ask for. The staff is fantastic, and they make you feel so cared for. The technique is Meisner, and it's not like any other technique I had taken before. This school allows you to exercise your technique, learn, share, and to be part of a group. more

I thought I knew what I was doing in terms of acting when I came to Los Angeles, I had a degre in theater. And I had some early success, so this really made me think I knew what I was doing. Then I went to The Acting Corps and realized that I was OK at best, and I was not doing the things I need too. I wasted so much time before I found them. Thank you Acting Corps! more

What I didn't know could fill a book... and that book was written by Stanford Meisner. Thank's to the Acting Corps, I know this now. I also didn't know a lot of other things that I learned in the Boot Camp Program there. more

I really likes this place and I recommend them to all the actors out there who are looking for a school where they can work hard and learn lots of stuff. They make you work hard, but if you do the work, you will become a better actor, and hopefully be a star real soon. (= more

I'm going to be on television someday, hopefully soon, and I will have the Acting Corps to thank. I though I knew what I was doing before I went there, but I was just ""singing"" the lines, by which I mean I had decided how to say them beforehand, and no one and nothing would change what I did. And it was so phoney. Now I listen and react, and it's better acting. more

Trust this school, they have great teachers and substance. I like that they do not name the school after one guy, like many schools do, and then that's not even the teacher who usually teaches. At the Acting Corps, all the teachers I had were great, and there was no ego involved. more

I did it all! I started with the low level Boot Camp I, then I went all the way through to the Professional Program, and I even took part in the agent showcase they put together and, bang! I got an agent. I am very happy with my agent so far, and I am very happy that I went to the Acting Corps! more

I have been to many schools all over LA and in the OC, and the Acting Corps is one of the best I have experienced. I have even been to some of the very well know teachers that charge and arm and a leg... and I think the Acting Corps is better. I worked every day at the AC, whereas in certain other programs, that I will not call out by name, but you would know the names, I sat and watched for three quarters of the days I was ""enrolled."" The is total BS. I also loved that the AC was a Meisner based program, but they did not only do there, I know some school that teach Meisner don't even let you do scene work for a year, but at the AC, scene work was part of the class from day one. more

If you want to learn how to act, this is the place to go in Los Angeles. They offer classes that will be helpful for new or seasoned actors. I started out with their Boot Camp program which is a crash course in Meisner, but they do have more advanced programs for those who already know a thing or two about a thing or two. There are classes in the day and in the evenings. Also at this location, tit's in the valley, so parking is easy and for me, it was quite close. \r \r If you are interested, drop by and check out the place!\r more

As an foreign student I'd highly recommend this school. My Los Angeles experience, even as an English speaking Canadian citizen, was that difficult. There are just so many damn actors here. It was like banging my head against a brick wall. Then after I took the classes at The Acting Corps, and I got an agent, and while I am not famous in any way, I am well on my way to being a working actor. \r \r more
