Best

Signing up for the Bootcamp was a gig deal for me, a big investment. After I did it, I got nervous, wondering if I did the right thing. But after the first day of class I knew I m...

Worst

I agree....the owner is an absolute idiot!!!! He doesn't give the students the time of day. And is always in a bad mood.....he needs to remember it is the students who are paying ...

Refined my craft 3/11/2018

I feel that the acting corps gave me the tools to refine my craft and take it to another level. Every actor need a tool box because depending on the role, different things work. Most schools I have attended have given me a new tool, but the acting corps gave me several that I have found most useful. I don't consider Meisner to be a tool, I consider it to be more of a foundation, but they also helped me refine my being in the moment. I had some Meisner before, but never got as deep as I did here. more

back in the game 3/4/2018

I started as an actor but didn't have much luck, then I was a writer, now I'm older and I'm getting back into acting. The acting corps was a great way to dive back in. I learned things I never learned before. If I'd had this training back when I was young, maybe I would have had more luck. Back then I was all about method, but Meisner is so much more effective for me. Maybe I'm older and wiser too, but my advice for anyone starting out is to check out the acting corps. more

Agents! 2/24/2018

I got an agent from The Acting Corps. I have almost no credits, but I went through the program at The Acting Corps, and then there was an industry showcase that I got to be a part of. Everyone in the showcase booked an agent or manager. Every one of them. I was always told I would never get an agent without credits, but I did! This speaks to how great the training at the Acting Corps is. more

Not always easy 2/18/2018

Honestly, the first week was rough. I was so in my head during Meisner. But when it clicked, it really freed me up. After the first week, I thought I'd made a mistake and dreaded the Meisner days. I still liked the scene days, but almost considered skipped the Meisner days. Buy I kicked myself in the ass and said that if it was easy, everyone would do it, I went it, did it, and now I am so much more open. I am still not an expert by any means, but I'm going to keep at it and I am so very thankful to the Acting Corps. more

Great Deal 2/11/2018

I have been around Los Angeles for awhile, and I have been to many acting schools, and I really did get my biggest bang for my buck at The Acting Corps. Keep an eye on Groupon as they sometimes offer deals there and if you are fortunate enough to get one, than it's a no brainer to sign up. more

Excited 2/4/2018

Been away from acting for a spell, but getting back into it. Rather excited about the boot camp I am in. Most of my previous training was Strausberg, but that's what what they have here at the acting corps. Meisner is a different world, and I am quite liking it. They seem to throw other elements of technique in too here are the corps. I had forgotten the excitement of going to class everyday. Acting class that is. more

they were great 1/29/2018

My friends studied there and said they were great. And they were. Great environment, professional, and a lot of fun. Lots of work too, but that is what we are here to do, right? more

training and agent 1/21/2018

Hey guys. I just want to say I really like this school. I started at the bottom and went up through the boot camp levels and the advanced program. I now have an agent that I got from the acting corps. I could not be happier. I guess I would be happier if I was a series regular on a network show, but other then that, I could not be happier. more

I got an agent 1/15/2018

So I was in the Advanced Program, and we did a showcase. Agents and managers came. We not only did scenes live for them, the school shot scenes for a demo reel and gave them this as well. Guess how many of the ten of us got an agent and/or a manager? Did you guess ten? If you did, that's right! Many schools make promises, and while they never did actually promise an agent at the Acting Corps, they sure as heck delivered! more

Loved the Acting Corps. 1/8/2018

Loved the Acting Corps. I learned a lot, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to be an actor in TV/films. They have a great program that included both Meisner and scene study. more

I'm back! 1/1/2018

I attended The Acting Corps many years ago, back when they were located on Hollywood Blvd. I liked them, but moved on to other thing. Fast forward to last year, I decided I'd brush up a bit and decided to go back. I was so surprised that they have their own building in NoHo, and they have grown so much! I don't mean class size, I mean in terms of whet they offer. I jumped into Boot Camp II. There is now so much synergy between the technique and scene study, which was not the case in the early days. I liked them way back when I first went. now I love them. I plan to continue with them in the new year. more

Merry Christmas! 12/24/2017

Merry Christmas! In the spirit of the season of giving, I am giving a great review to an acting school that I really and truly believe in. I hope my words will hep someone else find them the way I did. I love the balance of technique and scene work and the vibe of the place is great. I rally improved leaps and bounds and can not recommend them enough. Make your 2018 great! more

Reflection 12/15/2017

As I go home for the holidays, I like to look back at my year. What a year. I have to say the best thing that happened to me was The Acting Corps. I came to town last January without a clue. Wasted a few months, then fell into The Acting Corps. I learned things I didn't know were things I could learn. I did both their boot camps, then went out into the world in late August. Things have been good the last couple months, and I have them to thank for much of it. I like to look where I am now compared to where I was a year ago, and it's amazing how far I have come. I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way. Thanks Acting Corps. more

Worth the drive. 12/10/2017

Living in the O.C. area, but drove up to NoHo every day for class. Drive sucked, but the classes made it so worth it. I need to move up to the valley before I do Boot Camp II, which I want to do. This was my first REAL acting class, as in one that had technique and that I actually learned from more then just different choices in a particular scene. I learned way to approach a scene and or course how to be in the moment. Hoping I can get back soon! more

Long time reader 12/3/2017

Long time reader, first time posted. I actually found The Acting Corps here, on Judy's Book. There are more good reviews then any place I have ever seen. Quite shocking. And now I am adding to them because I believe in the school and I loved my time there. I don't really have anything to add that other have not said, except what people say is true and it is for sure worth the time and coin. I hope this review might help someone else just as I was helped. more

I'm busy and I love it! 11/27/2017

I'm so tired that I can barely stay awake, but I love it. I am taking the Boot Camp five days a week, then I work nights, so it makes for a long day, but when I get home after work, I get well rested and awake excited and ready for another adventure with Meisner, of scene work, or whatever I'm gonna learn that day. And I really feel like I'm accomplishing something. Good for the soul. more

Making it happen 11/20/2017

I'm making it happen at the Acting Corps after years of doubting I could do this. I and 5'2" and 135 pounds, so I doubted I was right for it, and yes, I was afraid to even get me feet wet. Decided to try at The Acting Corps and I love it. So supportive. And my classmate are all sorts of shapes and sizes, not all glamorous types. Love it here! more

To the victor 11/12/2017

I went to a different acting program before the acting corps, and they gave me a worthless piece of paper when I finished. When I finished Boot Camp 2 at the Acting Corps, they did not give me a piece of paper, I got something far more important, a greater ability to act and be in the moment. more

good place 11/5/2017

A friend told me this was a good school so I signed up. They were right. I have to buy them a IPA now. Really likes it there. Learned a bunch of new stuff. Always think about them when I prep for an audition. Thanks guys. more

Whole shebang 10/30/2017

The Acting Corps offers the whole shebang. Technique, scene work, Meisner, and even a little about the business side of things. Why go do different places when you can find it all under roof. And it's not like they try to teach too much, they manage to cover it all and still let every actor work in every class. It's a hands on school, NOT a listen and watch. The whole shebang! more
