POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 1/4/2014

Do not give this company your credit card information, they will automatically bill it. I called them to ask if they could cancel my membership then they told me I was not even in their system. Because I was not in the system I assumed that I would not be billed. Boy was I wrong! They automatically billed me and when I emailed Mike Acquisito he told me that there is a 30 day policy for refunds. Since it is now January I have already been billed for the service and cannot get a refund. Jacob who was with them for many years is no longer with the company. Don't waste your time- they are after the consumers automatic credit card draft! more

Poor experience 1/3/2014

I am afraid this was not a good experience.    I have been using the service for several years now and have always been pleased.      However, this past Monday I was working with one of the techs on-line.    We were trying to get i-cloud to work and put in add-ins necessary to share calendar information.    In order to activate what she had just done, we rebooted the computer.    When the computer tried to reboot it just died and took forever to come back up.    It was getting late in her shift, so we agreed to arrange for a tech to come by the house.   The Tech arrived on Thursday and determined that I needed to buy a new lap top.    I had already been down for two days so I was desperate to get back up on a lap top.   I arranged with the tech to come back Saturday around 12:30.   He asked me to call Melissa and confirm the appointment with the office.   I called Melissa and re-arranged my schedule so I could be home at that time and went out to buy a new lap top.   I called three times today to see when the tech was coming over.   I got the answering service and was told each time I would get a call back.   I have not had a call back yet and sent a message on the web site.    I have to admit some frustration here.    I have wasted a huge amount of time on this.           RESPONSE FROM Tech Butler: Thanks for your feedback. we are not perfect as a company and are striving to get better. I will review your issue and see how we can better improve the process. more

Horrible 1/2/2014

This company is a scam- I have used them for the past two years, happily when they were Knowledgable nerd. Now that they are tech butler they do nothing but automatically bill your credit card. When you call to cancel before time they tell you you don't exist in the system so then you can't cancel. When contacting them again you assume that you will not be billed since you weren't in the system. BEWARE they keep your credit card information and charge it then tell you you cannot receive a refund. Jacob is no longer with the company, he was my tech guy. He is now with Tech by Request- a company that doesn't keep your credit card on file and only calls you to ask if you want to renew. STAY AWAY FROM TECH BUTLER more

Still waiting for service? 11/7/2013

Called on Monday and asked to have service scheduled in home. They indicated that on site services would be done on Wednesday or Friday only. I indicated that would be fine and asked for a time. They indicated they would get back to me. I have since called three times and when no one answers got the answering service. It is Thursday and have still not heard from them. Really disappointed as they had been so good in the past but I assume their shift to an online service repair format that they really do not want to provide any onsite support. They need to just let the members know that this is the direction of the organization and not leave us waiting for their call back. RESPONSE FROM Tech Butler: Loren, we have been expanding and are short techs as we grow so fast. we hired an additonal tech yesterday. we also updated our ticketing system so we don't miss anything. I will have a tech contact you today. Our policy is the try remote repair because it is faster and cheaper. Our onsite service is reserved for getting a computer back up online if necessary in most cases. We now solve 85 of all our problems with remote services for only 15.00 and within 2 hours of calling in. Hi Holly! Thank you for being the fairy godmother of computers. I am up and running beautifully since you restored the system to an earlier date and got rid of Hightail. The only thing that is not working is “search”. Can’t search for anything anywhere. Control panel indexing options tells me “indexing not running” (DUH) and the rest is totally blank. I don’t know how to set up indexing to allow me to search all folders, documents, email, etc. Can you help? Should I call back into Tech Butler so they can schedule me with you?? more

Holly could not fix my ATT E-Mail lock-up, so she changed my server to G-Mail & fixed my problem completely. The ATT problems have bugged my computer for two plus years!!! I hope & pray this fixes everything permanently! Thank you, Larry Alberts more

Remote Access Technician 5/8/2013

I had a computer issue and the Remote Service Tech was able to log into my computer and fix my problem over the phone. The Tech was very competent, and offerred solutions. I would recommend the remote access tech for a quicker solution repair. The tech helped me navigate thru the remote access. more
