I had been a customer of theirs for many years. Every billing cycle the price continued to go up, just a couple bucks, but none the less it increased with no increase in service. So I finally decided to select another company that is about 1/3rd the price and more services. I cancelled before my quarterly bill was due and asked them to send me an updated invoice. They sent me on dated 8/1 with a due date of 8/31. On the 5th they sent out another friendly reminder that my bill was due (mind you just 5 days after the first notice and well before the due date on my original invoice.) on the 15th, they send out a nasty notice saying if i dont pay in 10 days they will send me to collections. So I just called them and told them that if they send me anymore notices or send me to collections, I will be taking them to small claims court where i will sue them for the amount of the invoice along with any court costs. more

No serious gripes 3/31/2010

Our portion of the subdivision uses Suburban. We've been with them since 9/06 and they've done a decent job of showing up and tanking away nearly anything that's put at the curb. I have never had to call their office, so can't speak to that, but I do wish they'd spring for a website with their pickup schedule listed. Hard to know what holidays they take if they don't tell you! I also wish they did recycling at no extra charge and on a regular basis. Other areas of our subdivision have Waste Management and I assume they provide recycle bins...but don't know if they charge extra. I have to say that Colorado is the most deplorable state I've lived in when it comes to recycling! Pros: Reliable enough, take almost anything Cons: No website, no published schedule more

Not so Hot 12/25/2009

They sometimes only pick up part of our trash and sometimes pick up all of it. One time they took a shovel my husband leaned against the trash and when he asked for it back, they said, ""No."" The day before Christmas, they took our trash bin (we don't rent our bin from them) with the trash! We have bags and bags of Christmas trash with no container to put it into. I wish we had a different service available. Cons: Unreliable and took my trash can! more

They broke my recycle containers for the third time today. Every time they pick up they toss the containers as far as the can, hence the containers break often. Don't go with Sububan Waste!!! Pros: They have none. Cons: rude when calling, don't always show up, break my stuff more

I've had this service for over 3 years and never had any major problems. They do have inconsistent pickup times, some times at 8am some times as late as 4, but thats not really a problem. The service has improved over time. Pros: Friendly Haulers Cons: Inconsistant pick times more

It must be nice for ALL employees of a company to have a 2 week vacation. We finally got our trash picked up today (1/2/2008). The previous pickup was 12/21/2007. To add insult to their consistent holiday injury, when my wife called to simply ask when they would be coming by, the person who answered interrupted her and got all snippy snappy. Pros: Nice red color to their trucks Cons: Having to pick up my trash from the middle of my street picked apart by the local birds. more

Avoid at all cost 1/2/2008

Suburban Waste is an awful trash collection company. They consistently skip recycling pickup, and then require 3-5 follow up calls before they *may* come back out to pick it up. They've got a great system setup - Founders Village utilizes Suburban Waste for unified trash collection, so we residents have no choice. I thought I lived in America where I could choose to send my dollars to a different company with a better level of service. This company will be the reason I move away from Founders Village. I never had to contact Waste Management in over 4 yrs of using their services. I highly suggest you choose Waste Management's services over Suburban Waste - at any cost! Absolutely the WORST service!! 1/2/2008

I think this business is quite possibly the worst service I have ever used tor anything! I contracted for service for 2 years with them and on any holiday week they were very unreliable, they missed our trash several times when THEY said I got the trash out too late, past 0700, until I videoed them driving by at 0615 one week. They pulled out of our rural pick up area with a ONE week notice and during the Christmas week, our last week of contracted service they refused to pick up trash. I attempted to call customer service and was hung up on twice, I left my phone number with the manager and he never returned my calls. Well this is easy for them, they just can ignore us but with the high winds and animals and their empty promises of picking up the trash ""tomorrow', ""tomorrow"" all last week, I now must go out into the field and pick up endless pieces of trash that has been blown out of the trash can and which the local dogs got into. I am so angry and frustrated at their lousy service. Please, do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can away from mean and nasty customer service and lousy pick up service. I have many neighbors with the same trash service and they will all be picking up their trash from the roads and fields as well. Lousy service, lousy phone operators, just say NO to Suburban Trash!! WORST TRASH COMPANY IN DOUGLAS COUNTY 12/31/2007

This company is horrible! They are disorganized, disrespectful and just don't give a darn about their customers. They don't let you know if they won't be picking up your trash and, when you call, they brush you off. Our trash sat out for 4 days over the weekend waiting for them to show up. Do yourself a favor and go with ANY other trash collection company in Douglas County rather than this one. Cons: Horrible service, disorganized, unreliable. more

This company just seems to not care about its customers or service it provides. They regularly do not come on our scheduled pick up day, so when we call the offfice to find out when they'll be here, the staff is very rude and provides the 'empty' answer to get you off their back. It's very frustrating for us to have our trash sit out at the curb not knowing when they'll be here. more

Horrible Trash Service & Horrible Customer Service - Stay Away! 6/22/2007

I am actually quite frustrated with their service. If I could switch I would but our subdivision uses them. First of all, they placed my trash cans right in the middle of my driveway, forcing me to move them before I back up or pull into the garage. When I called to complain, I said that I assume it is standard procedure to put the cans on the side like when we put them out for pick up. The customer service lady was so rude she said, I don't think that is standard procedure. You know what, she was right....its not standard procedure, ITS COMMON SENSE!! When I got home Tuesday I found my trash can perfectly upside down with dog you know what all over my sidewalk. Now, I can see if the wind blew it over but no, my trash can was NOT on its side. It was perfetly placed upside down and there was no wind. I was FURIOUS! So, I called once again. the lady there wasn't quite rude but never apologized for what the people working for her company did. She said she would let a manager know and asked if I wanted a call back. I said yes, I expect a call back. Well, it is Friday and I still haven't heard from them. STAY AWAY! This company just doesn?t care. Not at all friendly when you call. Their policy is to pick up one day after a holiday, so I called just to verify that they would pick up after Veteran Day (which is a Federal Holiday) and the woman who answered, who was rude, didn?t even know about Veteran Day! We had Surburban Waste Service for our trash pickup and they would often not pick up on the scheduled day. No phone calls, no notices. We finally got fed up with the unreliability of this company and switched to Waste Management. I see Waste Management trucks every week, on time, as scheduled as they pick up various neighbors' trash. Waste Management may be a little more each month, but well worth it!! Do NOT hire Suburban Waste Service unless you want to make a guessing game out of when they will be by to pick up your trash. Also, the person at the office I spoke with (Melissa) is rude. TERRIBLE SERVICE - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT USE 4/3/2007

Would high recommend using other company for your trash service. There have been several scheduled days they have not shown up and calls to customer service provided no satisfaction. Yesterday was the final straw and I have swithched to another company. Put trash out at 6:00 p.m. Sunday for my Monday pick-up day. Trash was never picked up and when I called customer service I was told the driver noted the trash was not at the curb, which was a LIE. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they would contact one and have them call me back, never they never did. When it snows, even a small amount they use that as an excuse not to show up, and trash has to sit to following week. Previously there was no service for three weeks, because of a ""broken truck"". Customer service staff is rude and indifferent. Very unproffessional company I do not know how they stay in business. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY! Worst customer service ever. 1/6/2007

I realize we've had some of the worst snow in quite sometime so I am fairly understanding to some delays in trash pick up. That being said I called to see when our trash was going to be picked up, as it was already 3 days late, and was on ""automated"" hold (someone will be right with you etc) for 4 mins and then was put on hold by Melissa and was not checked on again for 20 mins. I was more than outraged by the time she finally decided to pick up my call. I asked her when my pick up was going to be and she was very rude in stating that it may me that night or not because they were behind in picking up trash (up to three weeks behind in some neighborhoods, I'm sorry to you guys). I then asked for a credit for this week and was told that I would not recieve one because they are going to pick up my trash this week. This Melissa person is extremely rude and having to sit on hold for almost a half an hour to get one simple question answered is ridiculous. I have never had a good experience with their customer service staff, I've had to call before because my trash service was switched from Allied waste to Surburban and I had questions about the service, price, etc. Also you never know what time of day the trash will be picked up. Some weeks they are there at 7:30 am and then the next week its 7:30 pm. Very inconsistent and unreliable. After this last very dissapointing customer service call I will be switching trash pick up services. I would highly recomend using someone else for your waste services needs. I would recommend to customers to NOT use this service. You never know when your trash will be picked up, if at all. Customer service is horrible. Melissa should be fired for her service. I called after 3 weeks of no service and was told too bad. No credit will be given for the first week but they would see about the second week. I declined. I will instead find other service. I would not recommend this company for your trash pick up. The drivers are lazy and unreliable. And Shelley (I think is her name) should be fired as a customer service representative of this company. If you complain, there is no SORRY....they pretty much tell you to go to he**. If you say you may consider another trash company, they tell you to do just that. I have never had a problem with this company. Trash pick up is usually early if it is not early than it is because there was a holiday earlier in the week. The pick up guys are great, several times i have forgotten to put trash out and they come get it from the driveway/garage door. They send out holiday scedules with your bill, got to make sure you read it. Been with them since they first started in my neighborhood, couple years now. Pros: Pick up almost anything, large pick ups available early pickups Cons: ummmm? cant think of any more
