Since I bought my business in 2014 I have counted on the professionals at Specialty heating and Cooling to do my routine maintenance of our HVAC, they have done a great job and are really helpful alerting us to potential issues before they arise (like a cracked heat exchanger and waning capacitor). more

The technician arrived on time, with plenty of lead notice, and did a thorough job of inspecting and cleaning our unit. more

Had a tech out to service 2 furnaces and 2 A/C units. Tech was here for several hours. The power went out during the service and was told it tripped a circuit. That afternoon we noticed one A/C unit had parts still taken apart and tools left behind. I had to set aside more time to have them return. A few days later we turned on the other A/C unit and low and behold it doesn't work. The unit has always worked before. Called company and was told they can not come out for a few more days and it could just be something was not plugged in correctly after the service. Now having to set more time aside to be home. Ridiculous. Waste of money and time. It doesn't seem right to pay for a service and then have more time wasted because it wasn't done properly in more than one way. This will be addressed with the Service Technician. I discussed with Andrew our Service Manager the details. I took a look at the schedule with Andrew to see if we could get out to your home any sooner than Thursday. Unfortunately, there is not. However, with the appointment on Thursday at 8am is the first call of the day for the technician. For the inconveniences I would like to offer you 2 filters for each of your furnaces (a total of 4) and a chemical clean on your coil when the technician is out on Thursday. I was very happy with my overall experience, but I was somewhat annoyed by the price of the filters (which are supposed to be replaced every 3 months to 1 year depending on your home environment. I had thought that I would be able to go pick up a new filter from Home Depot as they push the Carrier brand, but this was not the case. Instead I either have to go to Specialty Heating (or another Carrier vendor) and pay upwards of $100/filter - or go online where you can pick up a single filter for about $75 (still pretty ridiculous). If I had known these filters would be so expensive, I would probably have looked for a different option. more

Finally had a technician respond to request to help reduce pulsing noise from heat pump. He was able to reduce the sound by at least 80% instead of telling me was normal or "nature of the beast" as some of the techs have over the last several years. more

This probably has nothing to do with the actual service provided, but felt that my technician was very unprofessional. He stayed longer than necessary, checked out the interior of our house, sat himself down in a brand new chair that still had the tags on it (with his dirty work clothes and hands), and used the bathroom, and left a puddle of pee on the floor.
