Skin Sense A Day Spa

I was somewhat disappointed after leaving the SPA to find rough spots on my hands and feet. I felt relaxed and pampered during the services, just would have like to have gotten better results. more

I wish I was told upon check in that I would be delayed 30 minutes. I have this problem every time I check in. I would like people to respect other peoples time. more

Very calm, serene facility. I loved the chairs in the waiting area, and the "fireplace" as well. Great massage, nice music. Would go again. more

I have had plenty of professional massages in the past on three continents. Charmain (I'm guessing at the spelling) was more intuitive and effective than even the physical therapists I've seen in the past under doctor's orders (I get injured a lot). In other words, the physical and mental uplift after my session was awesome. I'd go every day if I could. The atmosphere, the good cheer and the utterly relaxing vibe of the place was a treat. more

I had a facial wax and a Brazilian wax, with Rebecca, who is my esthetician. Any degree of discomfort was fleeting, as Rebecca is very good at using breath technique during the bikini wax process. She always does a great job on my face. more

As always I enjoyed my most recent experience at Skin Sense. I relax the moment I walk in and truely feel every sense bathed in calm. My aesthetition exceeded even the excellent treatment I am accustomed to and the reason I return to this spa only in Raleigh. As I told her, that was the best facial since going to the Camel Back Spa in Scotsdale, AZ.in 2004. VEry high praise. I could rate a full 5 stars if the ladies bathroom/locker room was larger. more

Needed a last minute brazialin wax on a Saturday and they were able to accommodate me. Great, friendly staff with the best customer service I have seen in a while. Tried European Wax and their staff attitudes were not friendly or welcoming. Skin Sense has always provided me with great service more

I have been a Skin Sense customer since 2005, and mostly have enjoyed my visits. Last Sunday I visited the Skin Sense Falls of Neuse location. I made my appointment only two days prior to my visit, and the receptionist made no mention of an inoperable steam room. I get there Sunday to find the steam room was out of order, and find out they knew about this on Friday! I got two services, a 30 minute back massage and a 30 minute head case massage, costing $100.00 total. For $100 you would expect a warning the steam room is broken. During my head case massage, the masseuse dropped coconut oil in my eye. This was after she started the treatments with a million questions, not practical questions like is the pressure strong enough, but questions trying to get me to add on things to my massage. I am not here to listen to you solicit, I am here to enjoy peace, quiet, and a relaxing therapy session. I just know that if I return to this location I will always ask if all amenities are working when I make my appointment, and I will be sure to not get the same masseuse as last time. She is good at what she does, she just needs to shut up and do the massage like it is written on the Skin Sense Pamphlet! more

Great massage and facial... but please replace your sandals. They are terribly uncomfortable and take away from the experience. more

A bikini wax is never a fun experience but the after effects are well worth it. Heather always makes the experience easy,breezy and comfortable. The staff is always sweet and welcoming. I will never go anywhere else for any sort of pampering or waxing. more

It was very relaxing experience. The enzyme mask stung like crazy. I enjoyed the whole experience during the facial but afterwards my face seemed drier than it was before. I have been dealing with the red splotchiness since my facial which could have been due to the facial or something else but I can't help but associate it. The skin sense spa itself is one of my favorite treats to myself. I love the whole feeling of the place, very tranquil. more

I've been going to Skin Sense off of Sixforks for 15 years. It's definitely changed in the people they hire, the upkeep of the spa isn't as great, and the feel isn't as clean as it used to be. The locker room was atrocious! Towels and robes were everywhere and it wasn't clean. The steam room wasn't working. The "relaxation room" was filled with boisterous black women (this was my 2nd time within a month and it was like this both times) and I couldn't even relax. I didn't feel like I enjoyed my stay at all. I won't be going back to the Sixforks spa anytime soon. more

It was a new massage therapist to me. I had a knot on my forehead that night and am still sore there now. The next day was misery, with a horrible headache all day and night. I will see my regular therapist from now on. more

My sister and I went in together for pedicures in celebration of my birthday. We were treated like royalty every step of the way, and I even got a 10% discount because it was my birthday! We had a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and will definitely be back! more
