Staff is always friendly and courteous. Pain takes a backseat to freindly conversation and comfort. Thank you ladies...always a pleasure!

had asked for a full body massage to be scheduled but was scheduled for an herbal wrap. also want to verify that I was being set up for a membership instead of series. but service...

Awesome as always...Natalie is just the best. My only complaint is newbies need to fill out paperwork before they come into locker room...there is no where for them to go nor the rest of us..you get 4-5 in there as a group and it is terrible (as was Saturday)..otherwise it is always bliss. more

spa good - text messages bad 4/25/2011

As usual, my experience at the spa was great. However, I received too many text and email messages about the appointment. 1 to confirm, 1 to remind, to which I had to reply, then a confirmation of that reply, then a reminder on the day. And an email I had to confirm. This is too much, especially as I have to pay 10cents for each text message. I'm not so senior that I can't remember an appointment after one phone call or email. more

Ginger Massage/skin wrap & Head Case Masque 4/23/2011

Very relaxing. I just wanted 80 minutes of light to medium massage to forget about the world. One word...Accomplished! The wrap made my skin feel amazing. I could not get over how silky my hair was after the massage and masque! I have already booked again for May to try your coconut version. Can't wait! Avery was excellent as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Girls Weekend - Spa Day 4/22/2011

Me and my two friends from MD came down to Raleigh for the weekend and treated ourselves to a little spa day. We all got different treatment, and Skin Sense was very accomodating to get us an appt all around the same time. All three of us could not say enough good things about our experience. Will defintiley return next girls weekend in Raleigh. :) more

I have had great experience with all of the massage therapist with the exception of one which I don't see any longer. From the moment you walk inthe door, the staff greets you and I only get massages there and I love the treatments. more

Great wax experience! 4/19/2011

I had my first Brazilian bikini wax ever at Skin Sense. A friend referred me to the Raleigh location. The woman who did my wax was very friendly and made the whole experience a lot less awkward! It was still quite painful but it was counteracted by the nice atmosphere of the spa and courtesy of the staff. more

I have been visiting Heather regularly for the past year. She always takes time to catch up with me and make me feel extremely comfortable. I'm not a passing client at Skin Sense, I am her personal client and I have her utmost attention for as long as our session lasts. more

Waxing 4/17/2011

Rebecca is very professional and takes time to be thorough. She also took a few minutes to help me with product selection. I was however, annoyed with a customer in the relaxing room who played on her phone the entire time I waited. The lights flashed from a game, changing the atmosphere. more

Elegant, relaxing 4/14/2011

I had a great time at Skin Sense. I easily could spend all day there. The staff was courteous & prompt. The ambiance was incredible. You are treated very special The only complaint I have is the lack of facilities in the women's locker room to allow for privacy. Everybody doesn't want to strip down in front of strangers. more

More than your average day spa... 4/13/2011

Had my first visit yesterday (Oxygen Facial and a massage) and it was a great experience! My first surprise was the locker room complete with a steam room, showers, and robes. I've been to a lot of day spas and the ones located in strip malls don't usually have these types of amenities- you usually have to strip in the actual service room and forget about having access to a steam room. Both my esthetician and masseuse were great- knowledgeable and friendly. The only reason I can't give the spa a full 5 stars is I felt the locker room did need a touch-up. The bathroom door had a lot of paint rubbed/peeled off near the handle and the toilet paper holder was a bit rickety. These are cosmetic, but the door was the most surprising to me, since the damage seemed so out of place when compared to the rest of the spa. Considering most clients are going to use the bathroom, you do not want to break the spa tone with a door that looks like it belongs in a gas station. more

I love the whole experience of Skin Sense. The waiting area, the sauna, the rooms, etc. It's all great. Most of the massage therapists are excellent. I found a few I really can rely on and I just make sure I book an appt with them. more

Skin sense has become my "necessary" monthly escape for the best facials and relax experience!!! I look forward to each and every visit and am always so pleased with how wonderfully refreshed and revitalized I feel. A wonderful spa that I would highly recommend to anyone! more

Eyebrow Wax and Pedicures 4/9/2011

Eyebrow wax very good. Angie is great. She's better than the other technicians, as far as I can tell. She's the only one who bothers to use tweezers and manually shape brows after the wax. Or pluck errant hairs. The others just use wax until they cannot wax and they are done. Not as thorough or as concerned. Just in and out as quick as possible. Or so it seemed. Pedicure ok/pretty good. Foot massage not great, pretty quick rub up and down, no effort or massaging. The chair doesn't have a back rub feature/pad which most nail places have. The towels weren't hot, that's extra. Really? A $50 pedicure doesn't rate having hot towels? So you have cold, wet, used towels on your feet. Not very relaxing. It was fine. Not worth $50 IMO. Though my feet are soft two days later and toes look good. more

Skin Sense experience 4/8/2011

The waxing services have been wonderful and professional both times, by different staff. The wax does not damage my skin and smells great. Each staff person paid close attention to detail, with good use of tweezers to remove any further hairs. My only criticism is of the waiting area, which is quite dark. I had to wait several minutes and felt very uncomfortable in such a dark room. I was unable to read the magazines provided even after my eyes adjusted. I found it very disconcerting and had to leave the room. more
