Skin Sense A Day Spa

I was really excited about my day at the spa. I scheduled my appointments 3 weeks prior.....I arrived as requested 15 minutes prior to my service, was greeted and shown to the ladies bathroom area. After changing for my first service (a massage) I waited in the lounge where another person came in and told me that the person I was scheduled with was running late (an hour LATE!) would I wait??? What? Then they went to see if someone else could do it. They came back and told me that someone else could do it but would be 30 minutes to an hour until they could. They then asked if I would like another service free of charge. Well YES! I guess it just seemed like there was a lot of running around and back and forth but it was resolved in a professional manner and the staff was always very courteous. Turns out the person that I was originally scheduled with did do my massage and then I had a fabulous facial. I have been coming to Skin Sense for 10+ years and have always had above average to excellent experiences each time. The staff is great! The bathrooms are well stocked with items that you would need so that you don't have to bring them with you. I would look into replacing the robes...they have seen better days. I was told to arrive 30 minutes before my appintment to fill out some paperwork as well as to take advantage of the many amenities of the spa. I arrived at 8:30 there were many workers in the staff room and when I walked in it took 2 MINUTES of staring to be welcomed. My welcome was "Hey, welcome to Skin Sense. fill out this paperwork, and I will take you to the relaxation room." I found the women's area as well as the locker to store my belongings. I had looked forward to using the sauna but the machine was turned off and a little dirty. I got myself a cup of tea and it was frightfully cold, like it had been refrigerated and not warmed in the urn, which has a plethora of signs labeled 'hot'. My manicure and pedicure were very good. My only complaint was that the massage was simply average, however the treatment performed was excellent. Upon finishing my services and going to check out. I found that I had to wait 15 minutes while two ladies at the front desk were having a converation with a guest checking out. One finally noticed that I was there and waiting so she brought over the products recommended for me by Isabella and seemed to be angry that I only purchased the body butter and not the other products. more

After major billing issues and other quality issues I didn't visit Skin Sense for a couple of years. Wanting to utilize some credit I still had on file, I chose to make an appointment for an 80 minutes deep tissue massage and pedicure. Nothing had changed with how long it took to actually make an appointment....almost 20 minutes to get an actual person. The robes were old an dirty looking. I was shorted 10 minutes on my massage and paying $130 for 70 minutes is seriously overpriced! There are SOOO many other great places in the area...don't waste your money here. more

If you want a good brazilian bikini wax, go to Heather at Skin Sense. I had never been brave enough to do a full brazilian, always went to her for partials. I recently decided to be brave and go for a full. I liked it so much, went back for another when it was time! She is good at what she does, very professional and talks you through the service. I love Heather and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent brazilian wax (or any other waxing;) more

I had a relaxing and pampering facial at Skin Sense in North Raleigh. Heather was skillful and very knowledgeable about my skin. Whatever she did surely made my whole face glow. Thankyou for such a wonderful service! more

I had my first visit recently with Adrienne for an Aromassage and it was fantastic. She took a little time to ask about preferences so that she knew what I would and would not like during the massage. It was very relaxing and I look forward to my next visit! Also- very CLEAN spa!!! more

Too much talk about supernatural and selling products. I got the deep tissue and 2 days later I'm still hurting. I've been there before, next time different massage and massager. more

I always get a good pedicure at Skin Sense....very thorough and pleasant. Some technician cause pain...not your's. Comfortable surroundings and very professional. I find the facility very clean and sanitized. I do find the price about $20.00 higher than the other two towns where I also get pedicures....and they are also good spas. more

I had a full body massage on 8/5/11 with Adrienne at the Falls of Neuse location. She was awesome!! I plan to schedule another visit soon and request her as my therapist. more

I received a gift card for my birthday and scheduled a basic facial. When I arrived, I was shown to the relaxation room. Rebecca came to get me right on time. I upgraded to the glycolic peel facial, and was very pleased with the results. Rebecca did an amazing job. After the facial, I spent a little time relaxing with some hot tea. Will go back for sure - Falls of Neuse location. more
