I have been going to Scott Clark Toyota for about 7 years, but stopped going for about 2 years after moving. I decided to go back after receiving a coupon in the mail for oil chan...

Worst

This place is terrible. I do not recommend them at all. They have tried to screw me when I went it to buy a new car. Shady SHADY SHADY People.

From the beginning, Rob Van Alstyn was a great LISTENER! This is hard to come by when buying a car at any dealership! I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy the whole process was. I actually felt taken care of and cared for. WAY TO GO SCOTT CLARK's!!! more

Car Dealership that Values your business 7/14/2011

I heard great things about Scott Clark Toyota so I got on their website and sent a request for info on a 2011 Camry. I was contacted within minutes with all the info I needed by Rob Van Alstyne. After a brief conversation with Rob, he understood my needs and valued MY time. He said come see me and I will make everything go smoothly and hassle free. And that is exactly what happened. Got there, 2 hours later, had my new Camry. Thanks to Rob and Scott Clark Toyota. more

Awesome Car Dealership 7/14/2011

Dealing with Scott Clark's Toyota was a great experience...especially working with salesman Rob Van Alstyne. He was not pushy at all. He listened and was very attentive, showed us our options, and was very upfront about things....no BS! The place is state of the art also including the service department. I would definitely deal with Rob again and if you're in the market for a vehicle definitely contact him. more

Best Toyota dealership in Charlotte! 7/13/2011

I couldn't be any happier with my new 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 double cab long bed truck! I went in just to look at the new Tacomas, told the salesman that, and there was no pressure what so ever. Even during the test drive I wasn't being questioned like I was on trial about when I was wanting to buy a truck. When I decided to buy the truck I wanted, Scott Clark's did not have that model on the lot, but they found the exact color, packages, etc in a truck I wanted. There were only 3 trucks in the Southeast that were to my specifications, and Scott Clarks had it delivered within 2 days!! When you go there, ask for Rob Van Alstyne, because he is the salesman I worked with, and he will get you what you want, without all the hassel! more

Deals That Don't Exist 2/24/2011

I recently bought a 2011 TOYOTA COROLLA S from the dealer. I already handed them the check for my car payment. I'm so excited about my deal because I'm getting a credit from it. And here comes, Marty (sales manager) making a CHANGE about a great deal I thought it was. I was told that I'm not getting that credit because it doesn't exist at all. I knew I was getting a credit for my deal because that's what we talked about, but they took it away from me after I gave them the check. So be careful with this dealer. I talked to Chris (general manager). He just said sorry about it and that he cannot do anything about it. I felt fraud and deception about it. I just feel so bad about what they did to me. I don't recommend this dealership. I recommend that you find another one who will not offer you something that doesn't exist at all. I don't want you to experience what I experienced. I will continue to study this case and ask recommendations about it. more

Beware of deceptive sales techniques. 1/28/2011

Just experienced the worst service in 20 years of buying vehicles. Have all agreements be listed in writing. My case: early lease turn in: sales person promised to not charge for excessive mileage or damage to bumper of vehicle in order to make the sale. Guess what - after finalizing the sale, just received a bill for the mileage and damage and sales department is claiming nothing can be done because the dealership doesn't assess damage (yet they did and said wouldn't charge for damage). Mileage - sales person said wouldn't be charged but because it was in the original lease contract, the charges apply. Of course, all this comes about after the sale is final. Please be cautious when purchasing a vehicle from Scott Clark's to avoid the same mess I'm experiencing. Not worth the one star I gave but have to in order to submit. Stephanie more

Customer service skills were excellent 10/4/2010

Travis Wilson & Jonathan Shapiro were my sale associates during my recent purchase. They both did not pressure me and allowed me to make my first car experience something that I will never forget. I went to several other dealerships prior to visiting Scott Clark Toyota. All dealerships were offering college discounts, but Scott Clark?s lifetime warranty and other incentives made me take a visit. After visiting Scott Clark I sat down and had to make a decision, the main and only reason I chose Scott Clark over the other Toyota and other manufacturers was because of Travis Wilson and Jonathan Shapiro. Their customer service skills were excellent and they were really passionate about not only making a sale but making a great selection for my needs. They made the very large dealership feel like a comfortable home for this deal and future deals. Those two gentlemen were respectful, honest, caring and great individuals to work with. When the sale was final they did not end their communication with me. I receive phone calls from both Travis and Jonathan just checking to see how I am doing. If you are in the Charlotte area and are looking for a car check out Scott Clark Toyota and ask for Travis Wilson and Jonathan Shapiro, they will take excellent care of you and tell them Greg Arnold sent you. more

Robby Pryor is the BEST sales manager we have had the opportunity to work with. This is our 3rd. new car from Scott Clark Toyota. Because of our dealings with Robby we will return for our next new vehicle. I can't stress enough what a great sales manager he is. If you are looking for a fair deal try Scott Clark Toyota and hopefully you will have the opportunity to work with Robby. Truly hope Scott Clark Toyota knows they are fortunate to have Robby as their Sales Manager. more

they do go way beyond the reasonable customer service 9/20/2010

I've purchased most of my vehicles from Toyota as a family tradition...they are just the best! Since I live in Indian Trail (for the last past 5 years), I've purchased and traded-in (for myself and my two sons) at least 6 Toyotas (2 Corollas, 2 Tacomas, 2 FJ Cruisers and a Highlander). 5 of these vehicles were purchased from Scott Clark and, due to my sons' needs, we had to trade-in a couple of them. I must say that the service is just excellent and they do go way beyond the reasonable customer service you'd expect from other dealerships. They not only actually care about meeting the customer's financial needs, they make sure the customer walks out extremely satisfied with the purchase. Only once, I went to another Toyota dealership because Scott Clark did not have the vehicle I needed and wanted in stock (they had sold out)! I have only one wish to be met by Toyotas Manufacturers and that is that they decide to build a vehicle with the motor (27 MPG), interior and family convenience of a Highlander but with the exterior square shape of the FJ Cruiser! GMC just came out with the Terrain model which does 32 MPG....I wish it could be a TOYOTA! more

I have never financed a car and so I did extensive research and spent several days visiting car dealerships. I went back to Scott's three times! (Third time's a charm!) It was a good experience and I loved how I was not pressured and the follow-thru was amazing! I feel good about this purchase not only becouse of the car (which I LOVE!!)but because Frank was AWESOME, informative and not overbearing. I would certainly purchase another vehical from them in the future and recommend them to a friend! more

It's really very simple. The last seven cars I have purchased have been Toyotas. All of them were with Scott Clark. I have never been disappointed in the service, the overall friendliness and quality of work in the last eight to ten years. They are the only dealership I will deal with. more

I wanted to by a new car and that too a compact one. i was interested only on the new yaris. This dealer made this deal possible as per my specification. My internet salesperson, RG Gunderson was great! I made an appointment with him and he was available the moment I walked into the dealership. He spent a great deal of time with me during my visit and yet never made me feel rushed during the process. He kept things moving along at a reasonable pace so we got a lot accomplished. RG was very personable - good sense of humor and easy going. He was very knowledgeable about the Rav4 vehicle I was interested in. During my test drive he made no attempts to use high pressure sales tactics just to sell me a vehicle, even though they were at month end and most like facing quotas to be met. RG simply let me drive the vehicle and ask questions. He was relaxed and it helped me relax throughout the entire purchase process - no high pressure sales pitch here!! Made the application process painless and when one type of financing didn't work out (due to my 2 yr old trade), he & and my finance person, Larry Ellis, went above and beyond to get me an even better deal that would perfectly suit my circumstances. I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism of these gentleman and made to feel like a very valued customer. Larry Ellis, the finance guy was great. This was my second vehicle purchase from this dealership and Larry handled my original deal. He remembered me and took the time to explain all the options and the terms of the contract. I truly appreciated his sense of humor and his willingness to answer my questions - even if he had heard the same question all day long from other customers. He made me feel as though I was the most important customer they had - no rush, no harried service. I can't say enough about the genuine service I received at this dealership.This is why I will continue to have my vehicle serviced here and plan to buy my next vehicle from this dealership. Great bunch of people all the way from the service bays, cashiers, sales and finance departments. Thank you all for a great purchase experience. more
