SCI Solutions was a great choice for us. They are very customer service-oriented and their system is user-friendly. Initially, we had several different vendors come in to our hospital and we looked at what they offered. SCI was the only one that could offer us what we needed. In particular, the ease of the system and some of the different features that were included made them a good fit for us. We have a centralized environment, a one call center, so we have been using them across several departments for 2 years now. Our experience with SCI has been great. SCI Solutions has made our life so much easier. We have seen real benefits from using their products and service. We went live 5 years ago with their scheduling application, Schedule Maximizer, which we use for scheduling radiology services as well as about 10 different ancillary services. Schedule Maximizer is very reliable. It is also trackable -- it allows for a lot of tracking mechanisms that, statistically, are a real benefit to anyone running a scheduling department. It is a form of usable reporting that allows our administration to know what kind of volumes we are dealing with. About 1 1/2 years ago, we started using SCI's Order Facilitator, a web-based physician ordering system. We use it to track orders and follow up on patient appointments. It allows doctors to see when patients are scheduled. Order Facilitator is invaluable to us. It is definitely a physician recruiting tool in that it is a seamless way of conducting business. It provides a historical database for orders. Both Schedule Maximizer and Order Facilitator are exceptional products. They create a connection between the doctors, the hospital and the patients. When we were looking at different scheduling systems, nothing met our needs the way that SCI Solutions did. We have been using SCI since 2001. Our experience with them has been very positive. They are both professional and friendly. We use their software for patient scheduling in multiple departments throughout the hospital, including radiology, cardiology and dietary. We are a longtime client of SCI Solutions. I believe that the decision to use SCI was based on the eligibility checking and features afforded on the front end of their scheduling software. I have been working with them for 3 years but their software was in place at our hospitals for about 6 years before that. I am very satisfied overall with everything we do with their scheduling software. Support is one of the most important aspects of any software system that you are using. The level of support that SCI Solutions provides impresses me the most. They are also good at listening to customers for enhancement requests. With SCI, you do not have to pay a fee to submit an enhancement request. Their scheduling.com software lends itself well to working with other applications, setting up interfaces so that you can pump information in and out of the system. We have been using SCI Solutions for several years. We started using SCI because their software, being IT-based, did not require us to have an application that we had to maintain locally. It was easily installed and the servers were hosted. The rules-based software is easy to learn and maintain in terms of building resources. It is also portable across systems. Because health systems and different facilities require different rules, we can pinpoint the needs for each customer/facility and build software for them using the rules and questions. The downtime is minimal to none, which is important for health systems. We use SCI's software across three hospitals, five diagnostic centers and a couple other outpatient areas. We started using SCI Solutions in 2001. Our company reviewed the current software available at the time and chose SCI's product for its ease of use and the ability to interface with our Health Information Management system. SCI offers the best rules-based product on the market. The accuracy that we get from those rules when scheduling is the No. 1 reason we have continued to use SCI. We use the software in a wide variety of ways: We use it to schedule everything in radiology for five departments across three hospitals. We use it to schedule the employee classes that we offer, including Weight Watchers. We use it to schedule practice development, such as ongoing nurses' training. SCI's product is easy to edit in and to build procedures in. For example, if you need to add a new location for a CT, it is easy to add that new location and designate what procedures would book that location. I call SCI's software "scheduling for dummies." If it is built correctly and the system administrator at your site understands how to use it, the system is a no-brainer for the end user. We were using a scheduling software solution from a different vendor that required us to log on to many different systems to accomplish the tasks we needed to get done. It was time consuming and created many inefficiencies for our staff. We wanted a fully integrated scheduling and online ordering system. We chose SCI Solutions and are very happy with the choice we made. Their products create a total access solution that is fully integrated. We started with them in October 2007 and went live in with Order Facilitator in January 2008. We have since rolled out Schedule Maximizer (6/08) and Provider Portal (10/08) and are going live with the consumer portal in January 2009. The roll outs have gone very smoothly. Implementation time was what they said it would be. In fact, they were were here on-site for almost a week after our launch with a big crew. Everything has proven to by very user friendly. From our point of view, the SCI product cuts down on training time and creates efficiencies because our staff is more productive (its much faster to schedule something with SCI). Customer service and support has been fantastic. If we want something, they work to find the answer. They are willing to be creative. I like working with a vendor that says "we can find a way to make that work until we can add that feature" rather than "sorry it doesn't work that way". I highly recommend SCI Solutions.
