I am moving to Florida next month and tried to book the move with STI. They had me fill out a computer generated inventory list for the estimate. The estimate came. I added a few more items and was very pleased with the price, only to find out that many of the items I entered in the computer generated list were missing from the estimate. I feel this was done on purpose, a tactic used to confuse the customer, make them think everything they inventoried is included in the estimate, when it is not. When I talked to the representative, Bret, I was told the computer generator ""has problems"". I told him he should have informed me of this so as to avoid confusion on my part. I asked for a refund on my deposit and a new estimate. I also told Bret I did not want to book a move where I would be charged another 4 or 5 hundred dollars at the last minute. I was told the company was no longer able to accommodate my move. For me, this confirms my suspicion that STI is trying to dupe it's customers.
