Best

Big and perfect steaks. That says it all. And the other items on the menu are great also.

Worst

Dumping a ton of butter on a steak, does not make it good. :( nor does the burning sensation as the grease/butter pops onto you when they serve it at the table.

Exceptional 1/3/2003

The steaks were extraordinary. Especially the prime rib, which just melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend this steak house to anyone who loves steaks. more

Sizzling 1/2/2003

You pay for what you get and this is the best. Pros: service, food quality Cons: reservation more

Like butter.... 12/26/2002

The steak here can be cut with a fork, it melts in your mouth like butter. Everything here is 'a la carte so it does get very pricey but well worth it. Pros: best steak ever Cons: a la carte menu more

PERFECTION 12/19/2002

THE BEST BEEF EQUALS THE BEST STEAK DINNER, ALL COOKED TO PERFECTION. more

Just O.K. 12/19/2002

Steak is just O.K. overpriced and everything is ala carte more

Worth the cash 12/19/2002

For the past three years, my husband has treated me to a trip to Ruth's Chris for my birthday. It is certainly worth the wait! I love how they bring the dishes out on sizzling hot plates. The filet (what I usually get) is so tender you barely need to use your knife, and the sides (like delicious asparagus, potatoes au gratin, and stuffed mushrooms) are wonderful. The service is also superb. more

Overrated 12/19/2002

We had reservations, but we still had to wait forty five minutes for our table. Our waitress got our order wrong. The steaks were tough and overcooked. The atmosphere was acceptable except for the fact that the scent of butter was heavy in the air. Also, the steaks had very little flavor. Pros: atmosphere Cons: overpriced, crowded, poor service more

mmmmmmmmmgood 12/5/2002

Consistantly outstanding....Vegas, Cabo, Palm Desert.....anywhere you go the quality of the meat, the preparation, the ambience, and overall dining pleasure is consistent. Pros: excellent fare Cons: price(y) more

Juicy Loins 12/4/2002

No other ""steakhouse"" serves better beef. The service is superior too. I've eaten at Ruth's Chris around the world, and they all serve the best beef anywhere. more

It Doesn't Get Any Better! 12/4/2002

I've traveled and entertained all over the country. Ruth's Chris in Beverly Hills is the best. General Manager Daniel Hecko and his attentive staff take their jobs seriously and always make guests feel comfortable. The food is excellent and you quite simply cannot get a better filet anywhere in Los Angeles. The salmon is fantastic too (order it blackened). They get a ""10."" Pros: Best Filet in LA, Excellent Service, Good Wine List Cons: Small Restrooms, Crowded Bar more

Incredibly Overated 12/4/2002

I was highly anticipating trying out the new woodland hills Ruth's Chris. My ribeye was bland. I've made better steaks at home. In fact our whole table agreed that the food is incredibly overated. I was very disappointed in the meal. more

$30 dollar steak 11/28/2002

You havn't eaten a steak until you have visited this place. A good way to impress your date if (s)he has never been. The only other place that comes close is the Mission Inn in Riverside county. First class service is the best. Forget French cuisine and go to Ruth's Chris Steak House! By the way, wash your car and tip the valet before and after your meal. They'll treat your car nice and park it in the front. Pros: Great Food, Atmosphere, Service Cons: Beer price, Everything a la carte, BIG tips more

Elegant Dining on MEAT! 11/23/2002

Ruth Chris is an elegant restaurant. The service was fantastic. Let's get to the meat(and other food with less importance). The petite fillet mignon was great! I had it with a baked potato, which was good but took up valuable room for meat. The desert was much better than I had first expected. The cheesecake was wonderful and makes me think that it should be called Ruth's Chris Steak and Desert House. If the value was a bit better, I have reservations every night. Pros: Meat, Service, Cheesecake Cons: Slightly expensive more

MOUTH WATERING 10/28/2002

I have never had such a tender and tasty steak. Cooked just the way I ordered. more

Great Steaks 10/22/2002

I have been to many RC locations and can honestly say I am never disappointed with the restaurant, food, service, anything! Servers are amongst the best in the business, and the food speaks to anyone that appreciates quality. One of the best chains out there - keep up the good work. Pros: Steaks, Sides, Service more

Best Filet in Town 10/21/2002

Having been to several Ruth's Chris restaraunts across the country, I have to agree with the fact that it is the best steak house around. The bisque is incredible and compliments the a la carte veggies and apps very well. The New York and Porterhouse are great, but nothing compared to the taste and texture of their baby filet. more

Worth bragging about 10/15/2002

There was NOT ONE thing bad about this place. I dined alone the first time, although side dishes are served 'family style', I had the BEST leftovers ever. I spent about $60, including tip and would gladly do it again for streak, potatoes, salad and wine. I tell all my friends and family about this place. The filet mignon was DIVINE, garlic potatoes scrumptuous, May Tag blue lettuce wedge was just want I wanted. The service SUPREME and seated immediately, ambiance to die for. Pros: Piping hot steaks, Delicious beyond, memorable Cons: There are NONE more

Filet and Lobster? 9/16/2002

If I am going to pay $22.00 per lb. for a lobster, I would expect a fresh lobster instead of a frozen one. The filet was excelent no doubt about that. And for a retaurant that specializes in steaks, you would think that they would have good steak knives! forget it! My fork was a lot sharper than the knife I had! more

great service 9/16/2002

Great service however, for a place known for steaks, they over-cooked my filet! I asked for medium and they serviced it well done on the outside an barely pink on the inside. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The mashed potatoes are to die for. We brought our own wine and corkscrew and they tried to charge us $20 for cork service! Of course, i asked them to take it off. Pros: appetizers Cons: steaks, parking more
