Big and perfect steaks. That says it all. And the other items on the menu are great also.

Worst

Dumping a ton of butter on a steak, does not make it good. :( nor does the burning sensation as the grease/butter pops onto you when they serve it at the table.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is by far the best steak house I have ever eaten at. When I hear the name Ruth's Chris my mouth starts to water just thinking about their wonderful their sizzling steaks are. My boyfriend and I go out to eat all the time, all over and when we went to Ruth's Chris we were treated very shabbily. With their attitude, I will never go back to them again. Very snooty and not the kind of place I would ever spend my money again. more

If you like overpriced steaks at a national chain, well, this is your place. If you like ambience, charm, and good food, look elsewhere. But at least it WAS rated higher than Outback. Pros: it's not Outback Cons: , long wait, bad food more

My favorite restaurant 2/25/2004

Ruth Chris' has been my favorite restaurant for years! I have been to the location in a few other states. The Beverly Hills location is one of the best. The food is great. Service is hit or miss. The older, more experinced servers are wonderful!!! The younger ones (the last 2 times I went I was very disappointed with service) are not so good. They do not know the menu, the wines etc. The bus staff is always excellent! This last time, my salad was brown and my food came while I was eating the new salad (disappointing) - no apology or change in bill but I'll still keep going but I may request certain servers. Mouth Watering Hole 2/4/2003

Ruth's Chris is by far the best steak house I have ever eaten at--not only because everything from the coffee, to the main course, and all the way to dessert was absolutely mouth-watering delicious, but also because all of the servers are so courteous and classy. The bussers were so discreet and swift, that it seemed my water glass was filled almost as if by magic. The waitress was so personable and friendly, and as crowded as they were, she managed to give our table personal attention. Not to mention, the steak was so tender, I could cut it with a fork!!! Ruths Chris seems to be very site-variable. I've been to several around the country, and while some are among the best steaks I've ever had, others were very disappointing. Luckily, the Beverly Hills branch seems to be one of the better ones, so I will base my rating on that. Not much to say its all about the steak--get the porterhouse for 2 (with a mate) and go at it! comparable to other high-end steak houses in LA (Mastros, Arnie Mortons) Pros: the beef! Consistently undercooked 1/17/2003

I've tried several times but never seem to get my point across that I want my steak pink on the inside but not burned on the outside. They can do it at the Metropolitan grill....why not here? more

This is the best steak and shrimp I have ever had. I was skeptical, but this national chain beats most Texas steakhouses. The service was unbeatable and you are pampered like an only child. Try the Stag's Leap wine to top off the experience. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere Cons: Costly more

I looked foward to my first experience at Ruth's Chris for a long time. I ended up very disappointed. I was treated as if they were doing me a favor for serving me an overpriced, small, altogether not very satisfying piece of meat. After my visit I began to contemplate vegetarianism. I've been to Ruth's Chris in Toronto many times and it was always amazing. The decore is very cozy and clean. All the staff treat you great!(even if you're not dressed up) The food was amazing! The steak just melted in your mouth and it was cooked exactally how we ordered it (black and blue for me). I've had alot of great steaks but Ruth's Chrises has always been the best. All the food is great. I hope I get to the first Ruth's Chris steak house in New Orleans someday. Pros: treatment, food, decore more

Coming from Chicago, I always find an opportunity to hit a top notch steak joint in town whenever good freinds are in town. Ruth's Chris is the best in LA having been to many others. The filet mignon is simply the best I've ever had including very close comparisons to Gibson's and Morton's in Chicago. It's pricey, but worth every cent. The sidea and appetizers are also top notch.
