Due to the foul language used in this review, I would like to see it removed as the customer could have just as easily stated his dissatisfaction with the company without using such language.\r \r Secondly, the customer failed to state that when he brought the vehicle back into the repair shop three days later, the issue he was having was repaired; at no cost to him or his wife. This service center has a warranty that they stand behind in their repairs and this situation was no different. The gentleman that posted this review was not the customer that the repair shop dealt with thru the repair process - the individual that the repair shop DID deal with whom approved all the repairs was kind and understanding when the vehicle returned with an issue. In conclusion, the problem the customer states did occur, and he is entitled to his right to share via social networks that he had a problem following the repair on this vehicle, however, it would be only fair and just if he portrayed accurate more

Brought in my wife car because this supposed place was recommended by a friend. The owner Russell was told that the car had overheating, radiator dirty and related hoses etc. and would like it all fixed and give me the total when is done. I paid $1200 for all the repairs to less than 3 days later have overheating, no antifreeze coolant water etc. problem again which did not make any sense since I paid for these sort of related problems. \r \r His response was, well; we did not replace all the hoses and we did not fix all related overheating problems when that was what I said and paid for in the first place; what an I**** right lol like I'm some d*** grandpa he can rip off. This is a response to C. Ram**?s 95% fabricated review:\r \r First I am happy that your last contact with Russell automotive was April 2003 and it took you 11 years to write a review. Also I am very happy that your actions that day have been bothering you all these years because pulling a gun on someone and threatening their life should stay with you forever. I don?t feel the need to go into detail about C***?s incident with us but if anyone really reads the reviews I will be happy to show the court paper work that is on public record. Also I would be happy to tell anyone who is interested what really happened that day. Just as C**l said it was all captured on Video. Congratulations, You and your girlfriend were stars for a day taking your car from our lot without paying the bill and trying to run me over. If Ca** leaves his inaccurate, fabricated post on line, I have no choice but to leave this up to let people know what has happened. Been to russells a few times so far I haven't had any problems like wrong pricing or poor service. Everyone there is easy to deal with and my car runs fine. Steve is straight to the point and tells me what i need to know. I have always gotten a very close estimate on my repair with no problem. Great place to go when your having car problems. more

Hello my name is Carl ,I am a business owner for 20 years.....As a car guy and living around the corner from Russell automotive i thought it would be a good spot to have this company finish my dream car ....a Lamborghini replica with a crate motor I had bought on 911 when I lost my cousin in the world trade center. This car was 75 percent complete i already put in thousands of dollars! So I bring it to Steve and M r Russell , he tells me they can finish my car and it would be $2,500 dollars , to just put my tranny together with a radiator of course ,I agreed , long story short , they gave me a bill for $10.000 dollars ...after yelling and screaming ..I payed this crazy amount knowing I would see them in court and get my car out of there, after I had the car for a week they had put plastic see threw hoses on my radiator ,left wires hanging and did not finish several things i had payed for....it was a real joke , you thought these people were professional but I was wrong , I brought it back to them on a tow truck , Steve and the owner told me they would fix it, I called them several days after and asked if my car was fixed ...Steve said no .... I was upset ,but I told Steve leave the keys in my car I am on my way to get my car....I enter in ,go to my car , the keys are in the ignition and I leave .....Steve calls me hrs later and said I owed them $352.00 more ..then he even shows up at my house , cursing and yelling !!!!I right away i call the police and told them he was harassing me ,threating me and my family , I am on the phone with 911 ,the operator said to meet an officer at 711 by my house so I said fine , I pull up to 711 and meet the police officer .....Steve gives him a card that said ... I had robbed and stolen my car at Gun point in there store........I was arrested with no prior convictions , mr Russell and His employees all lied under oath and gave false testimony to the court system and police even with cameras on there property...I knew the truth would be told...I hired an attorney , the prosecuter wanted me to plea to something I did not do...I said,No... let's go to trial and the truth will prevail ......God would not let these evil people prevail.....months go by and we head to court , No one from Russell automotive\r Showed up ....the court was empty !!! The case was dismissed , but i still have on my record a dissmissed case for auto theft of my own car.... God will take care of those evil people, they are horrible people that should be punished ! Every time I drive by there it makes me sick ,so please people find another automotive shop that won't lie steal and cheat you out of your hard earned money.... God bless! more

Would never go back. 'Slippery' is how I would describe Steve's technique. They increased the amount they quoted me. ex. ""I need to know the total cost to me, I am a teacher and get paid once a month"". The price increased 250+ dollars - ""Tax"" according to Steve. And I had to replace the radiator that wasn't cracked or leaking when I took it in. I believe they cracked it when putting in a used engine, another 270 dollars. Of course they denied doing it but I know it wasn't leaking when I took it in. And they didn't meet there promised finish date saying -- ""we had to get three engines because I didn't like the others we were sent"". The final engine had higher mileage but there wasn't a price reduction. They gouged me. Never go back! Ended up paying over 500 more. more

I paid Russell Automotive over $1200 for a tuneup and a few minornrepairs on my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero. Had to bring it back as they did not put the correct plugs in it. The, approx 1 month later the radiator malfunctioned and it ran hot. I had it towed to Russell Automotive and after paying another $400+ I was told it needed heads. I requested they not fix it and I had it picked up but Russell parked it where a wrecker could not get to it and they refused to help push it to the street so it could be picked up, I frlt after paying them over $1600 the least they could do is help push it to the streets. I had it taken back to Alabama after Russell wanted anouther $2500 to fix it. The place I had it taken said that the block had a problem and that it should not have been repairede. I had a used engine put in it and it is doing great. I do not recommend anyone have their automobile repaired at Russell Automotive. Three mechanics looked at mine and said it looked like something was put in more

Russell Automotive provides quality service and has a very educated, caring, and friendly staff. I've had my business' school bus repaired there for the last 5 years and they've always done a honest and affordable job. They've been around for 30 years, Established in 1981, just like my business. I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil service, once i was there and the car was checked in Steve at the service counter told me i needed some minor services and a belt changed. I was short on time and needed to go. Steve took me out to the car and showed me the belt was cracking. I still took my car. The next day i called back and had my car back in with a broken belt, I felt like a dope... I will do what i am told next time. Every one was great to deal with and made me feel better about my car repair. I will alway come back, this is my best new shop. more

I run 2 service trucks in the Orlando area, and since we started taking them to Russell, life has been much easier for me. Technically, they are very proficient, meaning I don't have to worry about whether the job was done correctly or not. When I need work done quickly, they fit me in. When my budget is small they work with me to fix only essential items. \r \r Are you going to spend more money? well, yeah, they charge more than your shade tree mechanic. But, I've tried that route, and will never again. Quality costs more, but you save money AND time because the repairs are done correctly.\r \r In short, I heartily recommend Russell! more

I took my car in after it overheated and was quoted $1,000 to repair. They then told me that the head gaskets were leaky and that it would cost another $2,000 to fix. After this expensive repair they then told me that the car was still leaking and that they needed another $1,800 to fix the leaks. I took the car to another shop for a second opinion and was told that the leak was coming from the head gasket -- the very same place Russell Automotive had just fixed! This company does not know what they are doing. Don't use them to change a tire let alone engine repair! I've filed a complaint with the BBB. If that doesn't get me any relief, I may have to sue them. more

Don't know about the other two reviews here... I'm extremely satisfied. We had difficulty installing camshaft bearings in my AMC 304 block.. took the block over... they charged me less for the bearings than what I paid... installation was perfect... and then they didn't like the clean and hone job so they re-did it for me... no extra charge...perfect!!!!!I'm satisfied, very. Priced perfectly... I was scared to get the bill but... it was extremely affordable. more

I took my wifes Suburban in for the $89 brake special, and some how it ended up being over $600. I usually do our brakes myself, but I didn't have the time and my wife had let the brakes go for a couple weeks and they were pulling to the right. She took the vehicle in to Russell and called her to tell her that there was a major problem with "blah blah", she told them she didn't understand what that meant, but she had 5 kids and we couldn't afford $600 on brakes...he replied with guilt intended.."with five kids you really can't afford not to"...so she paid and we were screwed...by the way, the brakes still pulled to the right after she paid. PROS: Nice beautiful building, nice dressed staff, they must make $$$$ CONS: All the money you pay doesn't go into their service or parts. more

We purchased a truck from my Dad. He has always taken his truck to Russell so when we had a problem with the transmission we took it to him. We had to take it back 4 times and it was never fixed properly. I was left stranded on the side of the road with 3 kids more than once. They never apologized and many times left us waiting for more than 2 weeks for our vehicle. We paid them thousands of dollars for nothing. more
