Our tub drain was clogged, called Roto-Rooter to do a clean-out, but our house is 90 years old and this is the original tub and plumbing. He could not open the clean-out since the once hexagon top was now stripped to smooth round, making it impossible to use a wrench. This necessitated replacing the entire drain pipe, whichrequired a plumber. (If he had been able to run the line it's likely that the pipe would have sprung a leak, since it was rusty and already had a pin-point leak).\r
There was not charge. A plumber was here within an hour. I know it was a difficult job, requiring cutting extra holes in the wall to access the pipes and drain, and waiting for us to move shelves and other objects in the downstairs bathroom. He was pleasant, never complaining, and no profanity! (We really appreciate that!!) I would give the service and the finished result 5 stars, but the price, however, was high. I don't know how it compares to other companies. I really appreciated the $40 coupon I got online.
