We had an excellent experience with our plumber, Mike (2388), from Roto-Roooters Boston, regarding water in our basement. He was very professional, to the point, honest, and courteous. He was there within the half day, diagnosed the problem and gave us the different options for addressing the problem, including the option to do nothing (since nothing was absolutely necessary). Since he was there, I showed him one other problem, a leak under our kitchen sink, and he repaired that in a jiffy, and even provided follow up recourse if necessary. We will call on Roto-Rooters, and even ask for Mike if at all possible, in the future. more

We found ourselves with a clogged kitchen sink earlier this week. \r We needed a plumber and fast! So we called rotorooter in the Boston area and they sent out someone the next morning nice and early. I forgot his name but his technician # is 2814. He was very professional and explained everything he needed to do to fix our drain. We are very happy we called. Our technician even had products redily available for me to purchase right in his truck to treat our pipes and avoid future problems. more

I am writing this for my mother-Dora who was serviced by your technician on October 18,2010.My sink was clogged for about a week. Itried drano and to no avail. I decided to call Roto-Rooter whom I had used in the past ten years. The repairman came about 2 hrs later,he was very courteous and professional. He explainedthe whole procedure to me and the do's and don'ts of using the garbage disposal. This is regarding my recent use of a plumber thru Roto-Rooters (Boston, MA) listed at 71 Commercial Street. This was the second time I've had to call and Jennifer showed up again. We had a problem with the ejector pump for our basement bathroom, and I had hoped it was a fluke the first time but it definitely needed to be replaced this time. Jennifer is a very warm and friendly woman as well as very professional. She handled "the mess" and replaced my pump, and although it wasn't cheap nothing is today and I would call Roto-Rooter/Jennifer again if another problem arrises in the future. Highly recommended! more

I had a leak on a Sunday. I called a different plumbing company and not only were they going charge me to come out and give me a estimate and they were going to charge a higher fee because it was a Sunday.\r \r I called Roto-Rooter and they sent someone out, free of charge. The quoted me a great price and the work was done the same day. The technician Mike was great, very courteous and professional. I would definately recommend them and will be using them for all my future plumbing needs. more

I found water coming out from under my kitchen sink. My husband and I realized it was a backup from the garbage disposal. We tried to unclog the pipe to no avail. We called Roto-Rooter and Ron B came out within the time specified. He was more than courteous and very friendly. He did an outstanding job and also made some welcoming recommendations. I will certainly call Roto-Rooter again if needed and would welcome Ron B into our home any time. more

The plumber that was sent out to us came from Marshfield-not Boston. He came at the scheduled appointment time and unplugged our main line to the septic tank that had roots clogging it. Jim was efficient and personable and made sure that our total drain system was cleared. We were very satisfyed with our experiance and will recommend the service to our friends and family. more

The plumber, Mike from Boston Roto-Rooter was on time, a big plus when you have better things to do. He explained the service and quoted the price up front before he brought his epuipment inside. He showed me the problem with the pipe camera before he started and the cleared pipe afterward.The main sewer line to the street was clogged with roots. It took several tries with different cutters but he didn't quit until the clog was gone. The works is guarantied for six months and the work area was left clean. Mike told me how to keep the drain clear with root destroyer. Overall I am very happy with the service and would use them again. more

We discovered last night that all the 'flushable' toddler wipes that we've been using regularly for the last 3 months aren't all that flushable. Our main sewer line completely clogged and backed up into our basement (disgusting!). We called Roto-Rooter out of Boston at almost 7:00pm and they squeezed us in. The plumber technician was already booked solid and when the job before us took longer than anticipated we received a call from Rotor-Rooter letting us know that he would be delayed and to double check that it was still okay to come. The tech himself then called us to let us know he was on his way. He was at our house until almost 11:00pm and had us up and running again! He was professional, fast and capable. Late in the evening August 30th my sewer pipe cloged and backed up into the house. I called Roto-Rooter and within a half hour the tech was there. He was professional, understanding and knowlegable. I had a schematic of the outside pipe and unlike other plumbers I had in the past, he certainly knew how to read the schematic. He knew what was wrong and proceeded to unclog the pipe. Due to the configuration of the inside pipe, his snake did not fit. He retooled the snake and somehow got it into the pipe and cleaned the clog. He worked extremely hard and used great engenuity to get the job done. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and adaptability. A clogged sink & washing machine led me to the Boston and Cape Cod Yellow Pages & to Roto-Rooter looking for a plumber. I called - a pleasant voice said ""I can have someone there within the hour"" - and sure enough, within 40 minutes, and somewhat to my surprise, a tall competent looking, friendly young woman arrived - stuck out her hand and said ""I'm Janelle Sullivan, what's your problem?"" I explained it and she went to work immediately. Access through the kitchen drain didn't work so she headed for the basement where, unfortunately, access to the main drain was in a crawl space with about 1 1/2 feet of room and difficult access. Undaunted, she spread out a tarp on the dirt floor, put on her helmet, and crawled in Sawzall in hand. She soon had the drain open. Because there was so little space, she couldn't fit the appropriate Roto-Rooter machine close to the pipe and had to call for back-up (after advising me that her company policy didn't allow me to help). While waiting for help she assessed another plumbing problem in the house and made some useful suggestions. Subsequently, lying on her stomach with her co-worker feeding the Roto-Rooter cable to her, she cleared the blockage successfully - did the paperwork, and was on her way. A very efficient and successful operation! more

I had a terrible problem with my toilet. It was backed up, and out of control. I called Roto Rooter and withing a few hours they were at my house and taking care of my problem. I have only one bathroom in my house, so this was a really BAD problem. \r Thank you Roto Rooter. more

But what had me calling Roto-Rooter again was the assurance that I could request the same tech again. We had the best PLUMBER come to our home over the past weekend and change our water heater. he was so patient and professional, even though it was a very long process, he was great and he really made it easy for us, he explained everything and he double checked his work just to make sure everything was working before he left.
