I have had a backyard concrete patio and cover installed last year, it is so beautiful that my best friend asked to get married in my back yard. Everything is perfect, the color, design and best of all the ceiling fans on the patio cover cooled down the outside enough this year to enjoy the backyard. more

I was at home when two young men Billy Bell and Matt Hamer came to my door with Quality First Improvements and asked if I have ever considered solar. I had informed them they are not the first people to ask but I did like the professionalism these young men used and decided to see what they have to offer at challenging rates and phenomenal courtesy they have I look forward to seeing what this company has to offer and doing business with them in the future. more

I had a patio cover installed in June, and I couldn't be happier! What I like the best is the ceiling fans to cool it down this summer. Everything went well, the workers cleaned up their mess and my wife and I have been enjoying it ever since. more

I am writing this blog on behalf of my father. He recently made the regretful mistake of hiring Quality First to Tex-Cote his home. The supervisor and employees involved were extremely careless and unprofessional. The level of craftsman ship was substandard at best. One of the tasks they were to perform was to replace rotted or damaged wood on the exterior of the house. They did not complete this task entirely and the sections of wood they replaced were cut too short leaving gaps in between the board replaced and the existing board. Rather than cut a new board to fit correctly (which would be the correct thing to do and also reflect what that claim to do in their name which is quality first) they spliced in a small section caulked it and then proceeded to install spackle all around the house which if you read the instruction manual for this ""Special coating"" spackle is not to be used otherwise the protective coating will not adhere correctly to the wood and create bubbles underneath the coating. Also they came completely unprepared my father had to let them use his own personal tubes of caulking because the supervisor was not able to correctly determine the amount needed. The company has been contacted and informed of these bubbling issues and also the unacceptable level of overall performance to which they simply sent out a TECH who at first appearance looked like one of the characters off of swamp people. This gentleman was extremely unprofessional and unprepared as well, he snapped a few photos looked at all the affected areas and responded with ""huh looks like they used spackle. That won’t work"" he proceeded to take samples to send to their High tech laboratory for chemical analysis. To which we have heard no response... They have made no attempt to correct the problem and we are now due to their inability to stand by their work. Having to pursue legal action, we have contacted the state contractor’s board and they are reviewing the unjust actions taking place. I urge you to please be careful with these types of people. Take my word for it this company lacks quality customer care and professionalism. It is a pyramid scheme! more

The price was very competitive and the work was performed in 2 and 1/2 days. All material was cleaned up when done and the workers were very cordial. more

We had Quality First install 3 windows and a sliding glass door in our home shortly after the first of this month. The man we talked to was Steve. We are very happy with the product and the way everything was handled. They arrived when they said they would, and everything went quickly and efficiently. We are both very happy with the way things went. more

My neighbor had Quality First Home Improvments replace her windows and she still till this day rants and raves about them so I gave them a call. Tim came to my home and showed me samples of the different roofs they carry along with the windows. I just loved there Amerimax windows and because he said they were Master Elite certified roofers, I went with there cool roof from GAF. From start to finish everything went as planned and I would reccomend them to anyone looking to upgrade there home! I do have 1 complaint. I WANT MY WATER GLASS BACK! I offered the men a glass of cold water and 1 of them didn't give me my glass back! Other then that a AAA job Thank you! PS. I would've given them 5 stars but I'm still mad about my glass. Pros: Excellent quality of products, fast and clean installation Cons: I gave them a glass of water and never got my glass back more

I recently was interested in getting solar panels installed on my home. I had some knowledge about solar, but I'm no expert. Fortunately, Scott from Quality First was. He was very diligent about inspecting our home, evaluating our power needs, and explaining our rebates and savings. I was impressed at the level of his solar knowledge, and his polite, professional demeanor. Thus we purchased a 2K solar system with Sharp panels. The job was installed quickly, and looked great! It was a real pleasure to see our electric meter spinning backwards after the system was first started. I am very pleased with everything, and would highly recommend Quality First. You guys are great! Pros: Great work, Very Professional Performance Cons: None I can think Of more

Had them install a new roof a year ago and it is great. I am currently having them install my new windows and they are again exceeding my expectations by a lot. Definitely one of the best contractors there are. Pros: On Time, Clean, Professional Cons: Wasn't the cheapest but they made up for that more

When we were trying to get a deck built, we checked with several companies. Quality First sounded good so we called them for an estimate. We made an appointment with them, but 15 minutes *after* the appointment, they called and said they were running late due to bad traffic (it was a light traffic day anyway, and not a busy time of the day). Cancelled that appointment as we didn't have enough time to wait for them to get there. We rescheduled, and this time they never showed up at all. No phone call, nothing. I called to ask about this and they just said ""Oh, sorry, when would you like to reschedule?"" We were dumb enough to reschedule one more time for a time we knew we would be home doing other things anyway, and got the exact same thing: nobody ever showed. No phone call. When they called back a week or so later, I explained to them exactly what had happened and why we wouldn't be using them. We got someone else to build the deck, and now, about 6 months later, after telling them every time they call that the deck is already built and what I think of their company, they're still calling me. Maybe their actual work is good, but there are plenty of good companies that know how to treat their customers that do good work. Pros: Persistant(?) Cons: No-show, bad customer service, irritating phone calls more

This contractor got me a new roof at discount after a different contractor simply botched the whole job. The Quality First workers were professional, on time, and courteous. I would seriously recommend them to anyone. I will be having them change out my windows and possibly some new siding. This location is closed down though. Why is it still here. I got confused for a second about this location. Pros: this contractor installed my roof in record time. Cons: Not using them the first time. more

I am not one to post and update many Blogs but I have to let the community know about how bad this contractor really is.\r They took a contract from me to paint the exterior of my house. I even went for the most expensive of special coatings (texcote coolwall) as they are a recommended contractor and all investigations point to their great abilities and service.\r Well, it's all a lie. They are a state licensed contractor but they use unlicensed contractors to do their work.\r Texcote is a specialized product only to be applied by trained professionals. Hah!. None of those applying the product knew anything about it. Needless to say it was not done right. In fact it was an extremely poor representation of a standard paint job using very expensive paint. If I had paid a standard $5K to paint my house with standard exterior paint this would still have been a bodge job.\r Anyway, very long and arduous story cut short, I made them leave my property and put it in the hands of my lawyer. They actually agreed that the job was so poor they gave me my money back. But that cost me money.\r Quality First Home Improvement user - Beware!
