The clinical skills and professionalism of the optometrist were fine and left nothing to be desired. It felt like a standard office visit for the exam.\r

The service after the exam, however, was grossly lacking. In particular, the order that was placed for my contacts was either not entered correctly, was lost, or was ignored for roughly 2 months after my exam. This was despite a number of assurances by phone from the office manager that the order ""was completed and should be here soon"". After about the sixth ""it will be here soon"" from the manager over the phone, I finally personally went back to the office and talked to him face to face. Magically, the contacts arrived about a week later (2 1/2 months after the exam).\r

Unfortunately, the manager had not entered the order in correctly after all this time and only half of the contacts came to the office. Now, as of today, I am still waiting for the other half of the order from approximately 5 (yes FIVE) months ago. Apparently, the office has ""problems with the vendors"" and are having a hard time getting my order filled. This would have been a good thing to know FIVE months ago, so that I could have simply bought them over the internet after the exam. \r

The contacts in question are not a special type or style and are readily available through multiple internet sites that I could buy from today and have within 2 weeks. The problem is that my vision insurance (which I chip in extra each week for) has already been charged for the contacts 5 months ago at the time they were ordered. I would have gladly just canceled my order long ago and never gone back, but this office has already been paid and simply has not given me what I paid for.\r

I am fairly certain that had I not been persistent in calling the manager over these past months, that the office would have simply kept my money and my order would never have been filled. Overall, one of the most frustrating consumer experiences that I have ever had.
Pros: Decent exam, standard office visit.
Cons: Awful customer service.
