Preferred Plumbing & Drain

So here is my third review. I am writing it because a job that I was told would be done in one day took two weeks, and after 3 months has yet to be approved by the city inspector. My grandmother owns my home and paid $6500 to have the main sewer line replaced. During the time they were working at my home, I walked out to the two techs having a VERY inappropriate conversation. I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed. The technician smoked a cigarette in my garage. Trash was left in my yard in between working. In the process of all this, my sprinkler system is no longer working. The sidewalk had to be torn out, and redone by preferred plumbing. It looked terrible and the city inspector has asked them to fix it. They showed up to my home unannounced to repair it. While the two technicians were here, one spent at least 30 minutes on his phone screaming at his ex wife. He was yelling obscenities and made me very nervous. The only thing that was accomplished work wise was a big hole in the sidewalk which still remains. I called that day and was told that a supervisor was not available and left a message for them to return my call. The next day I received nothing. I called again only to be told the same thing. I am just appalled by the lack of professionalism or respect for paying customers. Hire another company. You won't regret it. Very accommodating in scheduling appointments. Knowledgeable about upholstery fabrics, carpeting, and stains. Cleaned three couches, and a chair and even cleaned an upholstered bar stool at no charge. Worked efficiently to remove horrible pet odors from sides of couches. The carpets and furniture were nearly dry before they left. Both employees were personable and professional. Would recommend their service without reservation. Janet L. more

I reviewed this company two weeks ago, and am happy to say my opinion has completely changed. My previous bad experience was due to dispatch errors, and I feel the customer service I received in response to that was above par. The tech that came out that day was Johnny and I was very pleased with his service. He was friendly, informative, and gave me a 30 day guarantee in case my plumbing backed up again. Two weeks later it has, and Johnny and preferred plumbing held true to their word. I will need to have my line replaced and will definitely be calling Preferred Plumbing to complete the job. more

I called preferred plumbing a week And a half ago, and received satisfactory service. They snaked my main line and said it would be a temporary fix . Little did I know temporary only meant a week! Yesterday evening I was washing clothes when my shower started filling with sewage. I promptly called preferred plumbing and was told I would receive a call from their dispatch. I waited all evening and never heard from anyone. I called again in the morning, was transferred twice only to find out I called the wrong number. They gave me a number to a closer office. I then was transferred two more times and told I would receive a call when a tech was heading over. 2 hours later I received another call asking if it was ok to send the tech and I said yes of course. She then said they would call again when he was heading over. I have been waiting for 20 hours for someone to show up. Meanwhile I can't shower, or finish my laundry. I am very dissatisfied and I wish I would have called someone else. RESPONSE FROM Preferred Plumbing & Drain: Amber I apologize for your poor experience. Please provide me your address and ill get a supervisor over right away to clean your drain at no charge and also assess your whole system. We obviously dropped the ball on this one and I apologize. Worked on clearing difficult sewer line blockage until line was free of backup. Tried several approaches when first did not work. Have had no problems since. more

Randall-52 came in (timely) - surveyed the situation and immediately took corrective action. Within a short period of time the problem was fixed. He cleaned up everything as if he wasn't here. Could not be more pleased with the work performed and the professional manner in which it was carried out. more

Had 2 slow leak faucets. Called, they sent someone right over who gave me a free estimate. At least one, if not both, faucets would need to be replaced, so I went and bought the faucets I wanted, came home and called back, scheduled the appt. for the job for the next day. The following day, over an hour after he was due, I called customer service again..they had no record of the appointment they had set up with me. Luckily, they were able to get Vidal, he came right over, and did a terrific job. more

Mike was professional and found our leak. Made an appointment on Saturday morning and waiting until 1pm only to learn the technician was sick and would not be coming. Dispatcher said she hadn't been able to reach him all morning. Rescheduled for 7am Monday. He showed up right on time. more
