this was the second call we made for the same problem. The first plumber who came out replaced a washer and rebuilt the cold water valve for the water heater. He charged us $250 which I thought at the time was kinda high but it was on a Saturday and I really needed it fixed so I paid that amount. His name was Conrad. Exactly 90 days after Conrad fixed the problem, it started to leak AGAIN!. Lucky for me he had written on the receipt that it had a 90 day warranty. When the second guy, James, came out he was a little surprised to see that I had paid that much for the amount of work that was done, and that Conrad had not used a compression washer and that was why the valve started to leak again. James did a super job and was very friendly and efficient. He has us back up and running before the water had a chance to cool in the heater. more

Preferred plumbing showed up within an hour of my call and was able to diagnose and repair my issue within a couple of hours. Their pricing is very reasonable and I would give them a call if I need plumbing work done in the future. more

Our first experience with Preferred Plumbing was unsatisfactory. The technician took 9 hours to complete the job and left the job site after 9pm. On top of that, the work was not correct and started leaking again, which prompted us to call for another techician to fix the work. We also never received a receipt for the work that was completed. The work was on at our rental property and the Tech took our credit card was taken over the phone but a receipt was never sent to us as requested. more

The previous technician had used too small a cleaning head so that it plugged up again. The new fellow, black kid with dreds, nailed it. I wish he had been the original so I would not have had a second Call. He is a pro. more

I like Preferred Plumbing & Drain. They got here inside of 60 minutes from when I called them. The plumber was professional and easy to ask questions to. When first entering he started to put on shoe covers (I stopped him because I don't have carpet and I was going to clean the floors later anyway) and left his hand-truck/dolly outside the door to avoid bring extra dirt into the house. He did the work quickly considering the unexpected issues that arose and it looks well done and reliable. When he didn't know something or wanted to confirm his thoughts, he called the office to check (this is important to me because many trade professionals won't do this); this instilled reassurance in me that the work being done was right. He also answered all my questions about potential costs of other non-urgent work I need done over the next few months. I've never had to have plumbing work done so I can't comment accurately on the labor rates, but the total labor bill seemed very reasonable to me. I don't generally recommend services because I don't 'advertise' for free, but I would go as far as to recommend Preferred Plumbing & Drain if someone asked me. I don't believe I had enough work done to qualify a criticism, but if I was forced to do so I think better internal communication would help- the receptionist told me that the plumber would call when they were on the way, but that never happened. more

Marvin was professional and thorough, with a great sense of humor and patience. He explained the limits of his repair to my leaking shower drain and potential complications, but took the time to find out if I had other concerns. He efficiently fixed the lack of hot water in my kitchen faucet by replacing the fixture and hose attachments. A previous plumber had been unable to find the source of the problem. He also made suggestions about future maintenance. I could not have asked for more excellent service that. more

I was very thankful to have an obstructed drain attended to promptly even thought it was after normal business hours. more
