don't use pooltown 7/8/2015

we choose pool town based on what we were told and saw when we went to the showroom in howell, The salesmen sells you the moon , once they have your money ps they don't let you use a credit card because I would have canceled after I realized that they cannot handle a job outside there area which is south jersey. They don't have any where to get rid of extra dirt. you have to find somewhere . And then get to deal with sub contractor after sub contractor of which some were good and some not to good , but you have to arrange your work schedule around them a waste of your time believe me I did it they either don't show up or are late. pool was started April 17 th now here we are july 8 th and pooltown was suppose to be here today to install missing hand rail other parts but it was a no show got phone call around 530 tonight he is in long branch and will be here tomorrow with parts. Did I mention that pooltown gives you $500 a week if the pool is not completed in 35 working days I have not heard anything about that and I am sure I won't and they won't see there$10.00 balance due until I see my cover delivered to my house . The Retail Pool Store 10/15/2014

Welcome to the retail store. There testing is so inaccurate that your head will spin. Please be careful as the retail store will sell you items you do not need. Phosphates, a complete myth. I had an algae problem this past summer and I purchased over $400 worth of chemicals based on their recommendations and went nowhere. Over 10 separate trips. After careful research, I joined a pool forum and within two weeks my pool went from green to clear. It only cost me $3 a bottle for 8.25% bleach. Total cost was around $100 at the most. Recommend to everyone to join a forum so you can learn how to really take care of a pool. Use Google as your friend for a search engine. I do not want anything thinking that I am part of any particular forum, so please determine which group is best for you. more

Great Pool Company until something goes wrong (WATCH OUT) 10/1/2014

We signed a contract in the Spring. Pool town installed a pool without any problems. They also took my money without any hesitation. Now, we have incurred problems with soil removal, extra work needed to be done & the list goes on. Pool Town has decided that they can not be bothered and do not want to help. Nothing is ever explained to you. Pool Town will leave you to clean up the mess that they created at your cost. Pool Town is great until you have a problem. Then when you have a problem, everyone that you thought was your friend just hides and does not want to help. Sure, Pool Town has a lot of great reviews. These people were lucky enough not to incur problems. If you have a problem, then WATCH OUT ! Do not use Pool Town. Find another company to build a pool for you that will not hide when you have a problem. Installing a pool creates problems. This is what makes a good pool company stand out vs. a bad pool company. more

The Retail Store has knowledge 7/23/2014

Wally is one of the friendliest person you will ever meet @ the store. Everyone else is also very friendly and they take there time explaining to you what you need to do to take care of your pool. Understand that chances are that you will be waiting 15 minutes to get your water tested because they are busy and want to make sure that every customer walks out of there satisfied. They do a nice job overall. more

I met Wally on his first day of work and he has been the poster child of customer service ever since. He remembered my name from that day forward and that always leaves a lasting impression. If either in person or on the phone he always has the right answer for me and my pool problem. Although the store is not the closest to my house I make the drive there becuase of the service I get from Wally. Wanted to take the time to say how great the service I received in the retail store today . I had my water tested by Wally and Chris between the two of them they were able to clear the pink algae in my pool. They were able to trouble shoot where the algae came from . Wally had asked me if I had been to Florida lately and I had actually come back from there about a week ago I was amazed how they knew that, it is that kind of experience that keeps me coming back. old skimmer basket 7/16/2014

Had a broken skimmer basket from an obsolete skimmer. Wally was very helpful and found a whole kit in the backroom for me. Sold the whole unit for an unbelievable price. Great customer service. more

dirty cloudy water 7/16/2014

Helo my name is Aaron and I would like to take a moment to thank Wally and his team for working with me on getting my pool clear. I unfortunately had my pool cover fall in to my pool this year along with all the leaves and dirt that was on top of it. Wally and the team have been working with me on clearing the pool and teaching me the best way to vacuum all the leaves dirt and dead algae if it wasn't for them I would have probably closed the pool by now or filled it in with dirt. Thank you guys for all you help and patience my kids and all of their friends are now able to enjoy my crystal clear pool. more

I have been a pooltown customer for some years now. I have to say that the retail staffs this year has been exceptionally helpful. It is nice to be greeted with a smile and known on a first name basis. Wally , and the team have been really great this season and I have had the best year yet with my pool, ever since Wally got me started with the natural chemistry program I am finally algae free and have been that way for two years now . Instead of spending money on chemicals I can spend it on toys and most important memories, thank you Pool town. more

What would have taken me two weeks to have found, Wally yor retail store manager found for me in 30 seconds! Before I could even say anything, he identified the part in my hand as I was walking in the store. For those of you who may know it is hard to find parts for my proline filter which I purchased from Branchbrook. Wally saw the part in my hand and was able to substitute a Hayward part for what I needed. It is that kind of expertise that makes Wally an asset to your business. Keep up the good work and I will highly recommend and use Pool Town for all my future pool needs! more
