Philadelphia Animal Hospital

I have a 12 year old dog and a 6 month old puppy. The 12 year old have been to three different vets over his lifetime and each one was just ok. The six month old had only been to one vet before. He has had an ongoing issue that I felt like his previous vet wasn't fully addressing. After reading these reviews I made an appointment with Dr. Rebbecchi. It was the best decision I have ever made for my dogs. I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable time. The assistants at the front desk are exceptionally nice, caring and knowledgable. Dr. Rebbecchi's interaction with my dog was like nothing I had seen before. Instead of treating him like an object, he actively played with him and kept him happy as he examined him. He was very thorough but also very quick. Most importantly, he actually LISTENED to me about the pup's symptoms and history and combined with his exam, came up with a plan. His attitude was "we will fix this." He wrote everything out for me as we talked. He told me other possibilities if what he planned didn't work. I walked out of there with 3 different medications and prescription food and still paid less that what I paid at other vets. I live in Center City but I will happily make the drive to the Philadelphia Animal Hospital anytime of one my dogs needs help instead of the many vets in Center City. All the doctors are the best around! The Staff was very polite. Hours are very convenient. Parking available!! Service was top notch. There is very little they can not do. Recommend this animal Hospital to anyone. Pros: Very polite Staff, Excellent Doctors(best around), Parking lot available, Talk to you about anything you need to know. Cons: No Ultra Sound Machine, Wish hospital was a little bigger. It'S SMALL BUT EXCELLENT! more

We had purchased a new Labradoodle and I was looking for a good groomer when I came across this site. We had been taking Roody to another vet and we were not quite satisfied. The had a mild emergency on a Sunday and I had remembered reading on this site that the hospital was open on weekends. When we arrived, (very easy to find ) we were greeted warmly and I immediately felt that we were "welcome" here. The young doctor that I saw was just as warm and very attentative to our problem. The costs were very fair and we left feeling that we had found a caring vet with employees that treated us very well. We look forward to returning for a well-visit. I highly recommend this hospital. I wanted to say publically that Dr. Rebbecchi, Dr. Chapman and the entire staff of Phila. Animal Hospital were the most compassionate and caring individuals in our time of need. We were forced to put our very old dog to sleep last night. My family and I were very scared about the procedure as WILLY was our first pet. The entire procedure was painless and VERY caring from Dr. Rebecchi and his entire staff. We feel like we made the best decision for him and the staff was very supportive. He is always friendly, caring and takes a lot of time with us. It was not until our yearly visit last week that his real expertise came into play. He noticed a suttle change on our dogs leg that we did not even notice. It turned out to be a malignant tumor that was very small. Dr. Rebbecchi performed a same-day surgery and our friend recovered uneventfully. He was very gentle with our 14 year old friend and did a great job with the surgery. Thank you. I was not used a vet that listened to me or who actually cared about what I had to say. This practice is progressive and Dr. Rebecchi is very knowledgeable.
