Philadelphia Animal Hospital

I recently visited this vet for the first time when my dog got hurt and needed to see someone right away. I called the office and they were able to get us in on the same day, even though it was our first time there. Dr. Chapman was fantastic. He was very patient and took great care of my dog. The rates were very reasonable (exam was only $30). My dog needed to have some x-rays and expensive medication. It was all necessary, but was a little expensive. Dr. Chapman said he wanted to see my pup in a week to check on him and didn't charge us for that follow-up visit. Everyone in the office was very friendly. I would recommend this vet to anyone! I was a client for a long time but after having moved to Chester County, decided to find a vet that was closer to home, so had not been in recently at all. However, when Christmas eve day rolled around and I was in need of a vet for my mastiff puppy, who had gotten into the garbage, Philadelphia Animal Hospital is where I ended up. The girls waited for me to get there and Dr. Rebbecchi himself stuck around to do the xrays and treated my little buddy. All's well that ends well and it turned out to be nothing too serious but I didn't know that when I was looking for a vet that I at least knew who was available late in the afternoon. He was patient and caring and the girls were great -- they never made me feel rushed to get out of there so they could close up for the day. Under the circumstances, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this hospital for the care that they provide, the convenience of their hours and also the cost for services. more

I would never consider bringing my pets anywhere else. Eleven years ago we purchased a Black Lab from an ad in the paper. It turned out to be from Dr. Rebbecchi's brother, Mike. That is how we came to know these Drs. Koko was the runt of the litter and a great dog. We loved her like a child. She had many problems throughout her life and I have Dr. Rebbecchi and Dr. Chapman to thank for helping her through them. Unfortunately ,she got too sick in June of this year and we could no longer help her. It was a horrible time but their help and compassion helped us through it. The compassion does not stop with the animals. I recently lost my husband also and they helped me acquire an urn to give him some of Koko's ashes and they also sent a floral arrangement to the funeral home. Dr. Rebbecchi and Dr. Chapman are wonderful, caring and compassionate men and they along with their staff are tops in my book. My 4 yr old Lab, Casey, will never go anywhere but Philadelphia Animal Hospital. Thank you guys for all you did!! Pros: always available more

My first visit was last night andI feel my friends and the reviews are correct. I found a warm and welcoming staff and a very professional and concerned Dr. Larry. I believe the reviews are right on. I started bringing my dog to Philadelphia Animal hospital about one year ago. My experience began when I first scheduled my appointment. With their already extremely flexible hours, they were extremely accommodating and able to see me the very day I called. When I got to the office, I was extremely impressed with their spotless office and tremendously friendly staff. Even though my appointment was last minute, I waited in the waiting room only moments before my dog was seen by a doctor. Dr. Kipp Chapman is amazing! He is very insightful and exceedingly knowledgeable. He took the time and listened intently to all of my concerns and I could tell that he genuinely cared for my concerns and my pet. With previous horrible vet experiences, this was a long awaited breath of fresh air that someone cared for the health of my dog as much as I. When I eventually had to put my dog down, Dr. Chapman was extremely compassionate and understanding. He allowed me to stay in the room and gave me time alone to mourn my loss. I live in central New Jersey and Philadelphia Animal Hospital is not exactly the most convenient office for me to choose in caring for my pets; however, I could never imagine after the service I received from Dr. Chapman and the Animal Hospital taking my new puppy to any other doctor! Philadelphia Animal Hospital is an outstanding veterinary hospital. We've been taking our dog to Dr. Chapman for approximately 2 years and we are extremely pleased with him. Dr. Chapman is professional, courteous, caring, compassionate and very thorough. The entire staff is warm and caring. I was tired of being sold one of everything they had in their office without any explanation. Based on the prior recommendations I read, we tried Phila. Animal Hospital. My husband and I were very impressed. The employees were very nice and for the first time going to a vet, we were seen on time. Dr. Larry was very nice and kind and spent a lot of time with us. So, thank you for all that wrote in, I felt good about this experience. Any suggestions for a human doctor? Pros: fair and honest, nice employees, clean hospital, parking on site Cons: 20 miles from my home, but worth it more

When I got there, I was a little worried that it wouldn't be worth the rave reviews because of a not-that-friendly front-desk personnel. I was a walk-in, and expected a wait (even brought along a book) but I saw the doctor within minutes. Dr. Rebbecchi was so great, so wonderful with my kitty and so friendly and respectful with me. After a night of stress worrying about my cat, I took her in early and she was diagnosed and treated quickly and with great care, and my mind was put at ease. I highly recommend this vet. And I am not an easy person to please. Pros: Fantastic Vet, Great Vet Techs, Good Prices, Easy Parking, Clean Cons: Just average front-desk personnel more
