In Jan. my outdoor AC/Heat Pump unit broke down. After a few other companies' came by to sell me a completely new unit without checking the unit itself, I happened to meet a Parrish Services rep in line at Walmart. 3 days later after another company let me down (it IS a busy season), I call Parrish. The guy says he can come between 6-7 PM. Same Day!\r Sure enough, just before 7PM the service rep pulls up and goes right to the outdoor unit. He does a few tests, finds a bad capacitor, goes to his truck where he carries a spare, plugs it in, and just like that the unit starts up like the day before it broke. No kidding! Within 15 minutes of pulling in, my unit is fixed! Running as good as I remember! He did a thorough check on the rest of the unit and gave it a good cleaning to increase efficiency, and all done before the light of sunset. He was polite, knowledgeable, and completely professional. I was impressed by his humility. He answered every question without sounding condescending (I had, after all, not kept the unit very clean, and I know very little about how the unit works). \r I have to say, this was the BEST and simplest service repair call and visit I have ever had! My advice: Check and clean your unit every 6 months----and call Parrish Services for any unit problems. I know I will! more

Update on my review: After the company checked into my complaint, they did issue a partial refund due to the charges not having been made clear. I am very satisfied with the resolution and will continue to use their services. I will also be careful going forward to only proceed with work that is thoroughly detailed in writing accompanied by clear pricing.\r \r Very unhappy! I have been a Parrish customer for several years and part of their service plan. I had my garbage disposal replaced at the grand price of $851.00. There was nothing extraordinary about the work that would necessitate such exorbitant labor costs. I had discussed cost for the parts but was never advised the labor would be so expensive. The part itself retails for about $200-225. Even with a 50% markup on the parts, that would still leave the balance for labor costs at approx. $500 for an 1-1/2hr job, yet somehow I was getting the discounted rate for being part of their service plan. I feel completely ripped off and will be looking elsewhere for future services.\r \r The invoice I received is almost completely lacking in any kind of details whatsoever. No breakdown of part costs, details of the part(s), labor costs, nothing to show my discount for being a loyal customer and part of their service plan, only the total. \r \r The office has refused to give me anything with more detail. There is no justification for a $851 cost to replace a garbage disposal. more

We finally finished a water heater job that started just before Thanksgiving. My water heater burst the day before Turkey Day. Your company could not make it until the day after Thanksgiving. And we had a full house. So, I picked one up a replacement 80 gallon HWH from Lowe's and put it in with identical hook-ups. We had problems with the circulating system. (We have a long house and circulate hot water from one end to the other with a 3-pipe system). It's a long story, but Luis stuck with it and everything is fine now. I will definitely be calling Parrish for my plumbing needs and will ask for Luis Chavez when I have big problems. Thanks so much for your help\r more

He was professional, informative, and very knowledgeable. \r Our pilot lights went out on Wednesday evening after our propane service provider allowed our tank to run empty. Although the propane service provider was able to refill the tank on Thursday morning, we still had to manually relight the pilots on our water heater and fireplaces. Mr. Bishop taught me how to do this. A number of my neighbors have been in the same predicament in the past. You might consider offering classes on basic home maintenance for your customers and the communities that you service. Called to say what a tremendous job Josh did for me last night. Josh was extremely polite, professional and, considering that they were a home warranty claim, I was surprised at how much attention to detail and information he provided to them so that they would know the exact issues with their unit. he worked diligently with the home warranty company on their behalf as well. He was very thorough and my husband and I were greatly impressed. it was late in the evening and Iwas convinced that I may get cancelled or work would not get done, but Josh hung in there and did everything possible to help us and I was most appreciative.\r more
