I am so excited that I stumbled upon this place. I am always on citysearch looking for local alternatives for my service needs and saw the great reviews on PC Gecko and decided to check them out! Brought my ipad that needed to be fixed and within days I got a call to come pick it up, so surprised that I had it before the weekend. I will definitely be sharing this wonderful place with all my girlfriends. more

Non corporate establishment each employee gives the customer personal attention with individualized service getting you in and out the door in no time. Talk about fast service, I got my Xbox360 Red Ring Of Death repaired over night $64.95 with a 90 Day warranty. All I have to say is TEAM Gecko is the best and I'll be taking my laptops for virus removal on Tuesday. Thanks GUYZ more

Wow, never been happier with my computer repair. I went into PC Gecko and had no clue what was wrong with my laptop and they walked me through what the problem was, how to avoid it in the future, and how they were going to fix it! I felt so comfortable leaving my computer and was very happy with the results. Talk about a quick turn around, I will definitely be a returning customer! more

I found PC Gecko online via Google search to fix our Xbox 360 (error messages, then ring of death). They advertised all Xbox issues fixed with a flat rate of $69.95 We took it to their location (in back on a strip mall). They also informed us they ""only took cash."" Ok, bad sign, but we needed to get our Xbox working again. They also advertised a 24 hour turnaround time. We finally got our Xbox back a few weeks ago (this started January 18th, 2012), so hardly the 24 turnaround time advertised, but with the same error. We return it, only to be told there is a faulty component, to which we had to pay an additional $60.00. We are annoyed, but having no other repair people, we coughed up the money, and within 24 hours, it had the same issue!! We returned it again because after FINALLY getting a hold of someone at PC Gecko (They often do not answer their phones, and their voicemails are often full), we were told it was still under warranty and to bring it back. They, as of February 22nd, still have our Xbox. NOT RECOMMENDED. If we do not receive our full monies, as well as our Xbox back on Friday, we are reporting this to the BBB, as well as filing a case in conciliation court to get our monies refunded. more

DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!! I brought a PS3 there to be fixed. The owner (Charles Schuck III) dodged my phone calls for over a week after telling me he would have it fixed in a day. I had to trick him into showing up at his shop just so I could get the system back to be fixed by Sony (When I did pick it up, he said it was fixed- it was certainly not). This man stole $80 from me, do not let him take your money. This establishment has a C- from the Better Business Bureau because of complaints. I am certain that any positive reviews on any website are written by Mr. Schuck. more

I brought my xbox in to these guys when it started giving me an error code 74. I was told it was a common error and there shouldn't be any issue and repairing it, and was told it would be ready in 2 days. 3 days later I returned to pick up my xbox. When I picked it up they told me there was a tech recommendation for a fan mod. I t was only $20 more and they did right there in about ten minutes. I have had my xbox back home for almost 2 weeks now and haven't experienced any other issues. They were very professional and delivered what was promised. For that i recommended them to my friends and I recommend them to you also. more

I have to admit PC Gecko was Google?s top choice, But much to my negligence I found myself seeking lower priced repair services, Found a guys on craigslist and dropped my Playstation 3 Yellow Light Of Death off in some guys garage/repair shop in North Saint Paul for repair. After 11days and a half ass hack job which cost me $49.95 for a low budget repair which failed in 2 days, I was brought back to the drawing board and this time took Google?s advice and called PC Gecko. These guys surprised the hell out of me when I was back in working condition or as they say at PC Gecko ( BACK IN THE GAME ) with my poorly pre repaired Playstation 3 in just under 48 hours. DON?T BE FOOLED FOLKS, I was amazed and so shall you at how fast these guys work. I?m not sure what it takes to do these repairs but I am telling you NO ONE can do it like PC GECKO! Recently my grandson's xbox just stopped working. No idea why or how. I then googled xbox repair in my area. The first placed I called said 6-8 weeks. I next called Pc Gecko who said 3 days. Also they were cheaper then the guys I first called. So needless to say I brought the xbox to them. I told them it had just stopped working. After some inspection they diagnosed it right there on the spot and assured me it would be taken care of and my grandson would soon ""be back in the game"" Next day I get a call informing me that the xbox would b ready for pick up in an hour. I was pleasantly surprised. Picked it up took it home and I haven't heard a word from my grandson since. I would defiantly keep them in mind for any other computer or gaming repairs I made need in the future. more

I was a little weary to drop up my laptop due to the mixed reviews I have read. But because they were so close to me I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I came in and told them the issue I was experiencing. Their tech came right out and started looking at it immediately and told me it seemed to be my DC jack. They told me they would order the part right away and as soon as it came in it would be repaired. Fast Forward 3 days later.. I received a call saying my laptop was ready to be picked up. And they said I could come that day even tho they were closed they would make sure someone was here so I could get it. And sure enough someone one was there. I picked up my Laptop brought it home and its running perfect now! Thanks! more

I read these reviews, good and bad, and decided to give it a look myself. Everyone was real cool and professional and i decided to leave them my baby (my ps3) to fix. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but let me tell you, I couldn't have asked for anything more. A few short HOURS, and my PS3 is back where she belongs and running like new. One day while playing my xbox came up with the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH. I googled x box repair in st paul and came across PC Gecko. I called and after talking to them decided to bring it by. The next day when it was completed (ahead of schedule might I add) I recieved a call that it was ready to be picked up. I came in they tested it right in front of me and it worked perfectly. Since I have had it home I have not experienced any more issues. I recommend if you want quality local service. more

I recently brought my PS3 into them after seeing the YLOD. The staff was very friendly and accomadting. I dropped of my PS3 and was told it would be ready the next day. About an hour later I recieved a call from PC Gecko and was told there was an additional problem. I told them to proceed with the repair. The next morning I recieved a call telling me my PS3 was ready to be picked up. I called them on my way to pick it up and told them I would be late. They said they would stay and wait for me to pick it up. I picked it up and plugged it in and I haven't had a problem since! They even offer a 90 day warrenty. I f I ever ran into any more problems with my PS3 or pc I will defintly return to Pc Gecko! more

Do not do business with PC Gecko. They will take your money and you'll never hear from them again. I took my Xbox 360 to them to be serviced and paid them $60 towards the end of May, 2011. Two weeks after that I had to drive there and demand my Xbox 360 back because they weren't doing anything. They initially told me it would be done in a day or two. Every time I talked to the owner Charles he had a different excuse as to why it wasn't done. He said they would refund my money when I picked it up which they never did. He then later told me he took the money and ordered parts for the Xbox 360 and would mail them to me as he had my address on file. As I stated previously this was at the end of May, 2011. Since then I have received nothing and they stopped taking my calls. On 7/15/2011 I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On 09/27/2011 the Better Business Bureau closed the case because they got no response from the business. As of 10/4/2011 they currently are rated a C- on the Better Business Bureau's website and will probably drop more. The owner of PC Gecko previously ran a company called Wise Guyz. They were given an F rating by the BBB. more

DO NOT entrust your valuable electronics to this shoddy operation!! You have been warned. Why can't I give ZERO stars on this site??? I brought my son's XBOX 360 in for a ""Red Ring of Death"" repair, which PC Gecko rep said would be no problem. Went back in to pick it up and the unit they gave me had a different serial number on it and was not even the exact same model of 360. They swapped out my XBOX for someone else's!!! Mine was less than a year old! ""Oh, the guts are the same"" I was told. Well- guess what -- that one didn't work either, or the next time, or the next time.... Well, fast forward ONE YEAR later and these clowns never fixed my problem, gave me a refund or even returned my console. They will not stand behind their half-assed repair efforts at all. I called weekly for months and never got a call back. They knew they f'd up my repair and were too scared to answer the phone. VERY unprofessional from start to finish. I burned hours of my life, multiple tanks of gas driving back and forth to St. Paul and my son was disappointed for months. Send your device to an AUTHORIZED repair dealer. The ""shortcut"" PC Gecko will promise you leads down a long and winding dead-end. I wouldn't trust these nitwits to change the batteries in my flashlight. S-T-A-Y A-W-A-Y more

PC gecko not only could not fix my 360, but also lost it. When I filed a complaint with the BBB, I recieved an email stating 1. I would be contacted (I was not contacted), 2. I would be redunded my $60 (I was not refunded $60), 3. They would give me a refurbished xbox 360 (they have not offered me a refurbished xbox 360). As it has been said before, Charles Shuck has scammed before and I also feel these postivie reviews are false.If not, they are definately rare. more

My PS3 froze last night while playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I reset the system only to find out no discs would even show up as being in the system, nor DVDs or CDs for that matter. Did a google search to find out the problem and it turns out that the lens was burned out. Only had my PS3 two years since New Years 2009. waiting 6 - 8 weeks for Sony to ship it back to me was not an option so I emailed PC Gecko since they were recommended to me by a friend, at 8:30pm the same night and got a call back five minutes later. Took it in at 1pm and was out of there before 2pm with a new lens and working PS3. What a service! more

The reason big franchise game and console stores do so well is because they work with a corporate budget and can do repairs for cheap. What's more amazing is when a local store can do the same thing without the multi-million dollar fall back. That's PC Gecko. They can handle anything. Their repairs hold for the remaining lifetime of the console. And best of all it won't set you back hundreds of dollars. If you're in East Minneapolis or West St. Paul, PC Gecko is your best bet for PC and console repairs. more
